Henry is an extremely patient, supportive, informative and kind diving teacher, and I would definitely recommend getting certified here.

This shop used to be good. Now it’s not. None of the employees know anything about what they’re selling. Very unorganized process, very frustrating experience. Jim’s dive shop is a little drive away but worth it for great help and lower prices.

I just finished my open water certification with Henry as my instructor. He was fantastic! Extremely knowledgeable and thorough. Also Leo the dive master was very helpful. The group had a great time throughout the course. I would highly recommend AO for your dive certifications and Henry as an instructor. I will definitely be returning for further learning and certifications.

I got my certification through this dive shop, and I couldn't have had a better experience. My teacher Henry was well-educated in the field of diving and I enjoyed being his student. The open water dive that you get to do at the KP hole is a fantastic experience as a first dive. And the dive master Leo who accompanied the class with Henry was informative and professional.

I would recommend this dive shop to anyone. It's a one stop shop for all your needs, wether that be to buy your gear, get certified or go on trips with them. This is the shop to use!

Just finished the open water certification and had a wonderful experience. The instructors were fun and very skilled at what they do. I always felt like safety was the #1 priority which was important to me. Most important is that they take their time with you to learn the safety skills you need. I went in feeling nervous because Im kinda out of shape and didn't consider myself to be a strong swimmer compared to others but with the right gear I did just fine. Im so glad I chose this dive shop to get certified.

My wife and I had an incredible experience at this shop today. We came in about an hour before closing time and even though Bill was busy working on a project he took about 45 minutes to walk us through the pros and cons of everything we were looking for. Even though I dropped some coin I walked out of there feeling great and with greater knowledge and understanding than I went in there with. This is now our go to dive shop any time we’re in the area. Excellent customer service and excellent selection of dive gear.

Best customer service. The staff and owner keep you in mind all the time. They want you to have fun, and their interaction and friendliness makes me drive 35 to 45 mins again and again. Best people!

Aquatic Obsessions was fantastic from start to finish! Morgan helped us arrange the whole thing as a birthday surprise from out of state. She was so helpful and patient, and answered all of my questions. Adrienne was our dive instructor for all sessions and we can’t say enough about her! She explained things so well too, and repeated as often as we needed. Her patience is limitless and we felt very safe at every step of the way! Bill and his staff are absolutely the best if you’re in the St Pete area - will be back for future courses!

Had the opportunity to do 2 trips with Henry Sadler to Rainbow River. I completed my Open Water certification dives with Henry and then my wife completed her Open dives with Henry 2 months apart. He’s a fantastic instructor with a wealth of knowledge and makes sure you’re not only safe but enjoying your dives. If you get the opportunity to take a class with Henry you’ll learn a lot but enjoy yourself completely!

Had some trouble with a bent flopper on my spear. Bill went above and beyond helping me fix it. Tank fills always on point as well. Great people and great service!

We threw our international phone numbers and our restricted availability at them and they still made it work. Bill and his team were rockstars getting us scheduled and instructed for our Open Water Refresher course, so that we could fit in our Nitrox certification too.

Just finished my Open Water Scuba Diver certification with Aquatic Obsessions and my experience was great! Captain Bill and the two Divemasters, Adrienne and Jen, were extremely knowledgeable and helpful before and during the five dives at rainbow river. Bill even offered to give me a ride so I didn't have to make the trip alone! Additionally, Bill guarantees the best prices and will allow his costumers to look competitors prices up on one of the computers in the store. Aquatic Obsessions also organizes really cool diving trips around Florida or even around the world. Aquatic Obsessions is a great place to shop, get certifications, and sign up for some amazing dive trips!

Did open water scuba classes with Bill and Henry. What a wonderful time we had. Scuba diving is stressful learning but with the knowelagable professionals at Ao I really felt safe and comfortable in the water. Awesome teaching from both instructors. Went to Rainbow river for 4 dives to get certification. Beautiful place and again learned a lot. I bought a lot of equitment from Bill. During my dive my BCD inflator house cracked (honestly due to me crushing it on the tank laying it down most likely) Bill replaced it for free and said don’t worry about it. What a great guy for doing that! They stand behind there products and training. I will be coming back for other classes soon. A+ place.

Came in from out of town today… Looking around at their amazing spearfishing selection and noticed an item that I’ve been searching for for quite some time although it’s a large item it was definitely fair priced… That being said as I did not want to purchase a checked bag for the flight home asked about shipping and the dive shop stated they would take care of me packaged it up and made a wonderful sale.this place did not care if I was out of town or a local or anything just treated me perfectly and amazing will definitely be back here for sure.

I had no experience with diving when I signed up for the Open Water course. The entire staff at AO was extremely helpful and friendly throughout the entire process. Bill and Morgan are very welcoming at the shop, and very thorough when recommending gear. Henry Sadler did an EXCELLENT job as our instructor — he was knowledgable, professional, informative, but most of all his patient demeanor helped me remain calm during any tricky parts of the lesson. You will definitely be in good hands with Henry and this group if you want to try diving!

Had a great experience getting my Open Water Dive Certification with AODive! Morgan is great and worked with me and my busy work schedule to find a weekend I could go on the open water dive. I had my brother fly down from NY to get certified with me and when Morgan got sick the day before our open water dive, the owner Bill took us for our certification himself. The shop takes care of their customers!
