15I like the service but the food is no giving I’m sorry but the risotto is pretty bad and the garbanzos, I didn’t like it at all don’t taste anything the drinks was ok I don’t recommend at all for me I not come back here
Ehhhh. It was okay
The food was overpriced I got the daily catch or something to that effect it was market price ($85) for a branzino which I never tried and it was decent but not even close to worth the price tag. The brocolini was the part of my meal the apps were under seasoned the "Misto" in particular had no seasoning and was $27 for like 4 shrimp and a couple of calamari. The service was good and bad, while the server did a great job explaining the menu he did not listen and anytime he passed out table he wouldn't check in on us and a few times I had to yell to get his attention which was kind of embarrassing. I wouldn't recommend this place if wanted good food at good price and an authentic flavor of Miami.
So I did not stay at the hotel but was looking for a rooftop restaurant for brunch. Rooftop is cute with an OK view. Service was average took forever to get two drinks from the bar despite them not being that busy. Drinks were pretty good. Now as far as the food less than average as far as taste. Hair in food as well. Don’t waste your money. I will say- the manager Diana was great regarding my complaints. Never again
We had a layover in Miami and then a flight cancelation so we had a night to explore. We wanted great drinks with the best view of Miami and we were recommended here. We did not get food. However, we did talk with the bartender for a while and THE VIEW IS AMAZING. I'll stop by this place anytime I'm in Miami.
Beautiful ambience but subpar food. I ordered the goat cheese salad with steak; the steak was ice cold. I sent it back and the replacement was warm but my salad was missing half the ingredients- no pecans, pears and instead it had onions and cucumbers! I wish I caught all this but by this point it was late and I was hungry. 37 bucks for that salad! We also ordered the salt & pepper misto appetizer. It was yummy but the portion was extremely small. Not worth 27 bucks. 200 bucks for 2 people poorly spent. Basically you’re paying for the rent of the restaurant, not the food. Our waiter was very lovely though, great service.
Restaurant was clean, modern, and somewhat spartan in terms of condiments and service. Nice veranda overlooking the city. Food choices were limited and portion sizes were on the small side. Food was "okay" but certainly not up to the caliber of excellence as described by some others. Some of our party ordered the mac-n-cheese as a side and they commented it was more like a macaroni soup. We ordered salmon which was plated brilliantly and was cooked well-all stars there! Spirited beverages were astronomically over-priced. Two of the wait staff had a difficult time understanding English and had to keep referring to the host to better understand us. If we choose to stay at Kimpton Epic in Miami in the future, we'll look for a better dining option in the area.
Paying $350 to have the worst BD experience ever! I just took my mom to have the worst BD experience ever! We booked this restaurant at 6.15 pm for my mom’ s BD and was specifically told the restaurant on the booking. However, when we went to the restaurant, the first phrase the lady in the black jacket said to us was you are late. Yes, we were late but your valet parking took us more than 10 mins. I think there are so many ways more polite way tell us about the lateness situation that this. She then set us up in the small table while we are family of 4. After we ordered the food I know that the space will not be enough so I told our waiter that the table is super small I think that there won’t be enough space. He said we will make sure that everything is fit. Nevertheless, he never solve that problem.
During the meal, I have to ask many time to get refill for my water. The food was ok nothing special. Nevertheless, The masa fries was super dried. The restaurant know exactly that it was my mom’s Birthday, after the meal there is nothing special not even a word saying happy birthday. After finishing paying, I told our server that it is not a happy holiday because today is actually my mom BD. So he tried to offer us a glass of champagne. But after a long wait of checking and bad experience, we have had enough. More over, apart my mother no one on the table drink (we even order mocktail)
After the meal, we found out that the restaurant have to give us a validation for valet parking. The restaurant didn’t tell us anything about it. The valet staffs were not helpful. The guy told us to go back to 16th floor it would not take more than 10 mins anyway. So we went back got the validation. We come back down hand the office the ticket again. We waited for 20 mins and wonder why our car still didn’t come. Then, we saw the car in the far back that look look-like ours so we ask the valet staff for the key. He said we have to ask the girl in the office. The women in the office had our key for the whole time! We have to wait for 20 mins in vain.
From my experience, I personally think that this restaurant is not the high end restaurant as it claims to be. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.
FOOD POISONING! BEWARE!
Went to dinner on 6/12/22 and myself and my mom got SEVERE food poisoning that lasted over week. Called the restaurant to let them know and no one answered and they didn't bother to return my call after I left a voicemail. They clearly do not care about your health and will continue to serve infected food. Stay away!
Not sure how this restaurant is rated as
4 Stars, flies buzzing around food, the
French toast looks like pieces of bricks,
can't even put it in your mouth, the
omelets were burnt and bland, one of the
omelettes came out with a strand of hair
with follicle, 5 Stars for orange juice and
coffee, the waiters don't have proper
training and etiquettes on how to wait
tables, and please speak English! They
don't even have togo cups, spent $131
for breakfast for 2 people, very
disappointing, Food trucks have better
food.
The view is definitely nice. The pineapple martini was good, I ordered the lobster and crab Benedict and it was tasty. I did pull a medium length hair out of my food. They also cooked my partners eggs incorrectly the first time even though he requested them different. Other than that, everything was good.
Edit: when receiving the bill they forced an 18% tip onto the total. We would have tipped regardless, however, according to Google it is against Florida law for the company to determine the tip amount. Will not be back.
The city view is amazing! Worth it! You can see all the city. The menu is really short not so much options to select! Is a little expensive comparing with similar places.
We order the octopus, was amazing with a crunchy touch and soft inside, great choice, the Tuna as starter was ok, is a very small plate; we also ordered the risotto with shrimp, is a good amount of risotto with three shrimps. Was very good.
Tried reserving a table for my Mother’s B-Day; party of 12. Attempted to use their open table app as advised but my party was too big. App advised to call restaurant directly. Called restaurant since this morning when it opened, no answer. Finally spoke with a representative who stated they couldn’t accommodate a party that big with outdoor dining. Highly disappointed but there are plenty of places who will take my business and accommodate my party of 12. Weak, weak!
The Kimpton hotel is beautiful but the breakfast could have been much better for the price we paid of $98 for breakfast it should have tasted Devine! Like delicious but it didn’t. I think the French toast needs to be prepared correctly…. I’m a lover of French toast. Maybe it’s Covid - a lot of places have lost their yum since Covid.
Overpriced and so not worth it. Had to wait 30 minutes just to talk to the bartender. Paid $50 for wings and nachos. The wings were soggy and tasted like dominoes—we were given Caesar dressing with the wings and when we asked for the bleu cheese we ordered we were told they didn’t have any and were given pre-packaged ranch (like you get at dominoes). Nachos tasted fresh out the cafeteria, fried chicken on top tasted frozen. Not worth our bill or our time.
The view here is pretty good, but the service was lacking. Nobody came to our table so we ended up ordering at the bar. The drinks were ok, but expensive. I'd probably try a better rooftop bar next time.
