Artibonite Caribbean Restaurant, Coral Springs FL

I just bought a turkey an sauce, I found a piece of fried fish in it. I called the restaurant manager he basically told me that: fish, turkey, chicken and pork are fried in the same oil (ONE OIL) Since I don’t eat pork I had to throw the food in the garbage and ask GOD for his forgiveness.
My gosh how can this ARTIBONITE RESTAURANT violated food laws like that.
I will never eat from this place again never again.

They used old griot in the legume. I paid $15 for old food. I absolutely hate that. I'm going to call the health inspector everyday until they're shut down. Very unhappy and disappointed.

3rd time here and it’s horrible. Try bistro creole, it’s a good Haitian spot and can order door dash right to your house. This is a dump.

Ordered a fried turkey dish with red beans and rice. It came with fried plantains and I ordered an extra side of plantains. A little salad came with it (pleasant surprise). This is the first Haitian restaurant I’ve been to where the meat is not seasoned. The Turkey had no taste! I had many fried plantains on my plate, but most of them were so hard I had to be careful with most bites lest I needed dental care. The rice and beans were good. So was the sauce that came on the side. That was my first and last time coming to this restaurant.

Commandé un plat de dinde frite avec des haricots rouges et du riz. Il est venu avec des plantains frits et j'ai commandé un côté supplémentaire de plantains. Une petite salade l'accompagnait (bonne surprise). C'est le premier restaurant haïtien où la viande n'est pas assaisonnée. La Turquie n'avait aucun goût! J'avais beaucoup de plantains frits dans mon assiette, mais la plupart d'entre eux étaient si durs que je devais faire attention à la plupart des bouchées de peur d'avoir besoin de soins dentaires. Le riz et les haricots étaient bons. Tout comme la sauce qui est venue sur le côté. C'était la première et la dernière fois que je venais dans ce restaurant.

Order griot simply and asked FOR MEAT ONLY I paid $14.47 (TOP DOLLAR) horrible customer service plus salad and plantains were included.pickles are watered down. Just nasty. I’ll go across the street to Merlys from now on

My mom and dad been going to this place for years when I walk in they treat me like family and the food is amazing

Portions are big (I got the griot complete) and delicious. Had to save half for lunch tomorrow. I’ll be back!

You have a good place. Try to keep it clean everyday and remember totake good care of the food offering.

We arrived at this spot for a meeting. This place was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was very successful. The crew welcomed us with a smile and we felt very good. The meal was fresh and delicious. We had a great time and we will visit this place again. Keep it up.

I called in advance to place my order. I will give you time stamps to give you context. I placed my order at 8: 04pm. When I arrived the guy who took my order via phone asked to confirm if I placed the order for legume and I said yes. He went in the back to check if it was ready then returned to say it would take a few more minutes. Time passed and he started twiddling his fingers. He went back to check on the order and returned to say it's not ready there's only one person working in the back.minutes passed and a woman walked into the restaurant (I'm assuming she works there). She said absolutely nothing to me then headed to the cash register. At this point the man went to the back again to see if the food was ready. He brought it up front and the man instructed the woman on how to work the register. She advised me of the amount and asked if I was paying cash or credit. I told her credit. After signing my name, the man hands over the food that was in the bag and asked if I was mad. I was visibly disappointed. I responded that I expected more. Mind you I have somewhere to be. The woman repeated "you expected more" in disgust as if she was the Queen of England and I insulted her Royal Court. Time stamp I received the food at 8: 42pm. That's the service they rendered. Now, let's talk about the food.for a restaurant to be named "Artibonite Caribbean Restaurant" you'd think the rice would atleast be good since the Artibonite Department in Haiti is known as the rice department. Well the rice was a knock off jollof rice. No flavor whatsoever. The plantains were stale. Not fresh and tasted like they were in the freezer for months. I paid for extra plantains and had to throw them away. Now the legume.more disappointment! This legume tasted like it was left overs from days before. You can tell by the way it looked. Advice to the owners: you're a small business so be mindful of the way you handle customers. If someone handed you the same lack of service, and distasteful food you wouldn't be satisfied either. It's not my fault the food is nasty or that there's only one person working in the back. With the attitude the woman had you'd think the food would have been worth it, but it's waiting outside to get picked up with the rest of the trash tomorrow. Safe to say that I will no longer render my money to this restaurant. I was going to go about my business and never frequent again quietly until that woman opened her trap. You didn't even acknowledge me as the customer until you told me the amount and have the audacity to open your mouth after I made my statement. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE! There you go! Now go and work on improving your customer service and food quality.

Not a clean or friendly environment, need work on customer service.the service here is VERYY slow i wouldn’t have ordered if i knew i would be waiting for so long.i wish i read reviews before coming! Butt food was good

The food is what you would expect. Occasionally, you will run into stomach issues, if you are okay with this risk than this is the place for you. As with any restaurant, you eat at your own risk when others' are preparing food for you. You are trusting others' with the food you and your family are about to be consuming. Check your bags before you leave the restaurant to ensure that all food is there and correct, make sure they gave you back your exact change $$$.

This restaurant is unquestionably one of the coolest place in the neighborhood. Every time I come there I am exceedingly happy. They preserve their very high standard service and the highest level of food they provide. You will be always satisfied with this restaurant. Highly recommended.

This spot is worth visiting. They have big portions for reasonable prices. Consistently well kept and with good vibes. Highly recommended.

The food was Aaamazing! Recieved it in only 10 minutes! I ordered the Griot complete. The fried pork was juicy & perfect. Not hard or dry. The rice was nice & moist. Big portions for just $12. Would definitely recommend to anyone & will go back again.
