Stay away… their prices are not sacred had an emergency that was solved in the lobby inn and out in 30mins and they want over $5k

The meanest nurse I have ever encountered was at the urgent care. She was so mean and cruel. I had to back away from her because it was frightening. I see why they have such a low review count. I have been a patient at Ascension in Pensacola FL. They were not like that. Teri le people.

This hospital is very well trained and staffed. They are very considerate of patients and their care. If there is ANYONE that has the power to look into buying out Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Al, the whole community would greatly welcome you! We have HORRIBLE healthcare, can’t keep doctors. Nursing staff is low. People are leaving us left and right because of such poor quality of care. If there is anyone that might could look into purchasing the hospital in Dothan. Ascension would be so so welcomed and appreciated by our community. You guys are top notch! Thsnk you for listening and considering our honest plea for some much needed help in healthcare here in Dothan, Al. Thank you! God Bless

Scheduling is now outsourced out of the country and it is absolutely ridiculous to get an appointment for a procedure even if it is an emergency situation and the dr.orders it stat. The stat appointment they were going to give me was 3 months out. Very rude, hard to understand due to the strong accent, and they just want to get you off the phone.

Waited 2.5 hours for x-rays. They were taking patients back k to radiology that arrived 1-2 hours after us! Asked for our papers to leave and was told it would be "any minute". Those minutes turned into another hour! Staff extremely rude!

The ER department at this hospital is awful. They refused to treat my daughter who needed a simple procedure to improve her situation. We are from out of town and the NP refused to speak with my daughters neurologist from home to coordinate the care she needed. Instead, she tried to treat a CSF leak with fluids and migraine medications. I’m not sure the oath of “do no harm” applies here. There is plenty more to this story, but it was very obvious their fear of liability was much more important than the health of my child. Stay away from this place if at all possible.

Id call the services my 79 year old mother received subpar and most definitely unkind! Those people (nurse assigned to us -never came in -never met that person-and the ones sent when mom needed assistance for the restroom let us know they were not her nurses. Doctor and nurses were more than bothered to treat my mom. The only good care she received was from the ambulance/emts. Even sent her home with the dried blood left on her arm and hands.i’m struggling cleaning that today due to the pain she is in. That place needs and independent patient advocate on duty!

They price gouge, do not provide any process for bill disputes, and even refuse to assist on the phone when I request to dispute a bill.

I was billed at 500 percent of the fair price for an emergency room visit. That's just absurd and extortionary!

After a number of calls to their billing and customer service departments, it became clear that neither of those departments provides a way to dispute a bill.

The billing department is an outsourced collections agency that has no ability or staff on hand to evaluate whether the bill was reasonable, they only collect payments. I was told this by several members of the billing department, that the only things they were authorized to do are collect payments or set up a payment plan.

The customer service department is also not helpful, they send all billing questions to the billing (aka collections) department and refuse to address questions of improper or extortionary billing. They also began to hang up on me when I mentioned looking to dispute a bill, after I called trying to dispute a number of times and was refused, or transferred to dead-line "departments".

The only resolutions offered were to pay the bill now, or pay on a payment plan, which did not address the issue of price gouging

Neither the billing or customer service department was able to refer me to anyone in the hospital who could address the issue. I eventually did speak to someone in management I believe, after emailing everyone who's emails I could find at the hospital, who said she'd look into it and has been "looking" for months.

However, this has been going on for so long that our correspondence has vanished / expired from their secure server?

As far as I can tell, they bill at extortionate prices, a number of times higher than average, and deliberately do not staff anyone with the authority to dispute a bill in their billing or customer service departments. The process of trying to dispute a bill is deliberately obstroctionary.

(If I am mistaken, please respond to this with the contact information of any employee able and willing to address a billing dispute, as none of your public facing customer service staff have been able to direct me, despite a number of calls over a span of months)
