I had to go where my family member was taken. The reviews made me nervous but the place was nice & new with pleasant workers. My good feelings were struck down by a doctor with dismissive attitude and God complex. This jerk doctor was dismissory. When a family is going through bad situation, this posture is NOT what we should have to deal with. One star is generous.

Worst staff ever! They have no idea what they are doing and will tell you that it's covid. Our second opinion resulted in no covid. They just want numbers so they get that government cheese. They have lights lit up all around us from Patience that need help and don't get it. Just go to another hospital. You can thank me later

I think hospitals give me anxiety, and i mostly go because im pregnant lol.but i have always recieved polite and timely care here.
I really have no complaints, i understand that hospitals are busy places and some issues are more serious than others.
Thank You and keep up the good work!

My mom's healthcare has been good, but the dining program for patients is rediculous. Last night her dinner was ice cold and tonight, she sat on hold for an hour just to order her dinner; before being told the dining was closed and she would only be served a frozen dinner. Seriously, a hospital this big can do better than that!

I can understand why this hospital has poor ratings. If you have a choice in where you choose to receive healthcare then I would suggest that you choose somewhere else. Patient care is NOT a concern of the staff. There was one nurse, named Kevin, who seemed to actually care about the patient- and he was wonderful! But everyone else failed to listen to symptoms and did not willingly follow up on test results, and even continued to walk out of the room while the patient was trying to ask a question in the short 5 minutes a day you actually might see a doctor. In addition, when trying to visit a patient who has been there for 5 days, I was told the visiting hours were different than what is clearly posted on your website, and therefore I was not allowed to visit. I showed two different people the website information and let them know the nurse even told us we had until later, but no one has any compassion here and apparently people are supposed to just “know” the change that is written on a sign inside the building, regardless of what we were told or what is on your website. This was a huge disappointment to myself and the patient. And while your website states that you know the importance of visitors for your patients, this is clearly just for the sake of advertisement and not what is actually part of the culture in this building. No one there cared, and the girl at the entrance refused to get the “manager” on duty for me to talk to. (Even though the guy at the main entrance told me this lady is always walking around and would be easy to find and talk to). The end result is that someone wanted to see a patient, the patient had one small thing that day to look forward in the form of a short visit from a friend, and your hospital refused to allow your patient a visitor to lift their spirits, simply because your website is apparently incorrect in its visiting hours and mission statement. Extremely disappointing that this is the healthcare being offered.

I would like to speak with a representative of the hospital that really care about the patient s experiences and how the hospital Drs. And Nurses, and patients can work together to actually heal each patient.

Just moved back to middleburg, had to bring my husband to ER. We had our granddaughter with us it is 6: 58am. And the nurse at the door was rude to us abouthaving our granddaughter with us. I didn't know there was age limit gor the ER. The nurse stated i was gonna have to leave. My husband does not know all his info nor does he have the insurance stuff. It wouldnt be a big deal if she wasn't so rude about it

My husband was made to sit in the waiting room with an open wound for 5 hours in the middle of COVID season because nobody was available to give him 3 stitches and a tetanus shot which took literally 20 minutes to receive. He had to remind the triage nurse 3 times that he was there. The last time he reminded them that he was still waiting, the a nurse wandered off to go find someone to treat him, coming back over an hour later to give him a room. Even his doctor (who came in for her shift at MIDNIGHT, 6 hours after he came in) was lost for words at the incompetence. Will avoid this location like the plague in the future.

I would have given a "zero" review for the BILLING DEPARTMENT IF I COULD! It should never take a year for a patient to receive their bill.covid or no covid! Every other doctors office can get their bills to their customers within a year during a pandemic and ASCENSION ST. VINCENT'S CLAY COUNTY IS NO DIFFERENT THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!

I woke in the process of having a stroke, fortunately my wife knew what to do and took me to St Vincents. On arrival everyone worked quickly and did the imaging and other things to check my status, then consulted with the main surgeon via video link.
Ordered up the helicopter to get to Baptist ASAP whilst at the same time giving me the clot buster drug (emergency room doc.checked the timing of things with me twice because I had messed up the timing with the Surgeon and established it was within the timeframe).
By the time I got to Baptist I was on the road to recovery and no-one will believe I'm home and back to 95% after 4 days!
The Emergency room doc.saved my life (or at least my senses) if I could give this hospital 10 stars it would not be enough.

Entered St. Vincent’s via ambulance for Tachycardia (racing heart). All ER staff were excellent and ER doctor, doctor Berger was with me and an excellent group of nurses. They did a Cardioversion which put my heart back in rhythm. I spent two more days in St. Vincent’s Clay and the room was excellent. I am glad to say the staff and nurses were excellent. They were a nice, professional group. I appreciate all of them!
Thank you!

I went to the E. R.on Monday, December 14 at 2 p.m. For extreme pain in my groin area and was unable to walk. They took my temperature, blood pressure and heart beat fairly quickly. Then came the wait. Finally saw a doctor at 9: 30 p.m. And was told I needed to be admitted into hospital. From 2 p.m. Til midnight (when I sent my husband home), I had blood taken, a CT scan, and a chest xray all while waiting in the E. R. I was told they had no rooms open but hopefully something would be open soon. After being awakened for more blood (8 vials total for the night), blood pressure taken every 2 hours and the floor cleaner going by at 4: 30 a.m, I was at my breaking point. I was in the room outside the nurses station, with the door left open and lights left on. Finally had someone help me to a restroom and tried to sleep only to be awakened again for my blood pressure to be taken. I asked when a room would be open and was told 'We have no idea, it's been like this for weeks. You'll probably have to spend another night in this room. " At that point, I was done. They were more concerned with my blood pressure than the reason I went there in the first place. Signed myself out and called my husband to come get me. Worst experience of my life.

You are well taken care of at this hospital. Great doctors and nurses. They make you feel safe and at home.
Thanks Anna (ER nurse, Brandy and Michelle nurses at the 2nd floor were simply wonderful! The care and kindness of these ladies were great. Thanks for everything. There was a also a very special male nurse on the 2nd floor too that cant remember his name. Thanks from the bottom of my heart. They are in charge of one of the most challenging floors, the one that has COVID19 patients.

The staff was extremely compassionate in the ER. From the moment I brought my mother in. At the reception, through the vitals and the team back in ER. Amazing, Ela thank you and all your co workers for being brave, caring, patient, and compassionate with not just us but I’m sure you all are to others especially through these trying times

I have dealt with this hospital on numerous occasions both in person, on the phone, as a patient and as a visitor and I would say hands down and by a landslide this is the rudest group of people I have ever encountered. In all of my dealing here concerning myself, mother, friends mother, etc. I have never met a empathetic employee in this building. They are all rude, short and will talk over you and cut you off mid sentence. The issue seems to be isolated to just with this location.

If you have to choose St Vincent's. I'd choose riverside over this place anyday of the week. I dread visiting family at this place.

Went in by ambulance and the first nurse I saw was Megan, she was the best! I am so grateful for her because she listened to me and laughed with me to help reduce my anxiety. I appreciate her!
Everyone else was also friendly professional and quick!

Don't know why this hospital was rated so low, but my experience was great going into the ER. They treated my situation with respect an did what they could to make me comfortable.
