Ascension St. Vincent’s Emergency Care - Clay, Middleburg FL

They were so caring and professional. From start to finish they kept me informed and I was in and out with an actual diagnosis. A far contrast to Las week when I spent 2 days in Orange Park Medical center and it was horrible, I will never go there again. If you are sick and need Medical attention I recommend Ascension St Vincent Emergency Dept. Very caring.

I went in for shortness of breath on 7/3 at approximately 5: 30 in the am. I was roomed by 6: 43 am. An hour and a half later I still hadn’t seen a nurse. The provider had come in, X-ray done, respiratory done (although they never came back to turn the neb off) and the provider came back to see if I was feeling better and I told him I still hadn’t seen a nurse. When she did come in she did my flu and COVID swab but still didn’t bring the medicine the provider ordered. As a nurse, of over 15 years, the majority in ERs all over the country, this is the worst experience I’ve ever had. No one updated my medication list, the nurse never put a stethoscope on me so I’m not sure how she could put in a respiratory assessment and the guy at the front desk, as soon as you walk in the door wants your ID and insurance card but doesn’t bother to update the incorrect information in the computer as my address on my discharge paperwork was 2779 OMFOHP VOT MIDDLEBURG. This truly was the worst ER experience I’ve ever had. Not one person, except the provider even introduced themselves. No AIDET practiced here. Standard nursing practice is lay eyes on your patient and if youre that busy acknowledge your patient which allows you to briefly assess them and explain if there’s going to be a delay. With all the choices of hospitals in the area, this would be my last choice.

My mother was here at the ER because she fell and broke her humerus in 2 places. As the doctor was wrapping my sweet momma’s arm, I could see she was is a lot of pain because the doctor was flopping her arm all around and the nurse was told to hold my mom’s arm at a 90° angel and she did NOT do that. The wrap job that the doc did was extremely sloppy. I wish I had allowed the rescue to take her to Orange Hospital.

Came in having severe pain in stomach and upper, freezing, cold, but sweating. Vomiting bile I was given morphine in the emergency room for the pain. First time given did not help they gave me a second dose that didn’t really help. Was sent home with the prescription for pain for stomach cramps. It was not stomach cramps, and the pain medication did not help and they were aware of that

Completely ignored me. Test positive for influenza A. Send me home with meds for naseau and diarrhea. Told me it would be 2 1/2 hour wait if I wanted an iv. Tasted me as if I was an inconvenience for them.

It took 6 hours to complete my visit for a sinus infection. Not enough doctors, only one for the shift.

I went in with a nagging migraine that just wouldn't go away. From start to finish the staff took great care of me. Because I am allergic to all narcotics they came up with something that worked great.thanks Team St. Vincent/Clay

You couldn't ask for better care, I prefer going to St. Vincents Clay than anywhere else. They were very busy but still very efficient

The rooms and bathrooms were completely disgusting. The doctor was nice, but the nurse did not relay any important information I was telling her to the doctor. There was fecal matter smeared on the floor in my room. Used products were on the floor (medical supplies used from previous patient). It smelled so badly of urine in the building. Do not recommend going here.

The wait was long, but all the nurses and Dr.s were very professional and great! They really showed they care!

I brought my 80 year old mother in due recently taking falls and feeling sick. The ER got us back pretty quickly however once in the back we waited an hour to be seen. When the doctor came in he acted as if we were a burden in his day and barely listened to us when telling him why we were there. As he repeated back to us in attempt to confirm what the complaint was he didn’t have any of it correct. He ordered tests including urine test. The nurse was very kind and attentive in the room. She walked mom down the hall to the bathroom for get the sample which I thought was strange because we were there due to her falls and being sick and unstable. I was waiting for them to return when mom walks back in the room by herself. I asked her why she was alone and where was the nurse. She told me the nurse told her she could go back to her room and she would check on her in a little while. Mom barely had enough strength at that time to get herself back on the bed which of course I jumped up to get her off her feet. I was not only appalled that she didn’t have a fall risk band on but that the nurse left her to walk back by herself. Had I known I would have found a wheelchair myself and taken her. After imaging and blood work we sat another 4 1/2 hours waiting. (Mom in ER bed) meanwhile housekeeping lady came in who was horribly rude and angry. She practically pushed me out of the way to get to the garbage. I was trying to move out of her way however she decided I didn’t matter and pushed past me giving me a dirty almost threatening look. A few minutes Later at the nurses station I heard her tell one of the nurses that she was hungry and angry.
We were finally released after being there over 5 hours with the diagnosis of Vertigo even after telling the doctor she had no dizziness what so ever. They never offered a wheelchair for my weak elderly sick mother nor assistance getting her out.
I know ER’s can be busy however on this visit there were only 3 other patients in waiting room when we went in and not many when we went to the back. And had they been busy it is still no excuse for this poor quality care. To be honest I don’t even know if you can call it care.

ER was small and quiet in traffic. Check in and evaluation was fast and appropriate. Staff was very concerned and friendly however appeared to be understaffed by the extended wait time after diagnostics to render opinion and action plan. Discharge, albeit a long time waiting for it, was seemless. I would recommend and would use again.

The staff was super attentive and caring when they treated my son from the moment I walked into the hospital I was greeted and treated with compassion and care. My son was nervous but relieved with the way he was treated by all of the staff from the moment we entered the emergency room. Thank you to the amazing staff for taking such good care of my son and myself as it is difficult to watch a child hurt.

The ER nurse Keith as well as the gentleman at the front desk were very concerned and courteous as well as the staff associated with my visit

I would recommend St. Vincent’s to anybody they save my life back in July. I had to go there yesterday which was 12 /07/23 I do have heart issues I am dealing with. I have a great cardiologist, which is Dr. Zuberi. I know there concerned about my heart, but I went in there for arm pain and everything was focused on my heart. I feel I was very disappointed. That I didn’t get any results that I needed for my arm I have been in In so much pain and I feel that they didn’t do Could’ve done for my arm. I still don’t have any results for that issue. Other than that the place is fantastic. They’ve always been awesome. They treat me with respect and care. I was just very disappointed this time Dr. Walz is my doctor walls He seemed like a really good doctor. I just don’t feel like they were trying to fix the problem in my arm and I am in so much pain and it shouldn’t be this way.

I was having seizers they did not do any test on me like they showed have. They just gave me medicine. I went home. Having them.

Got in right away, of course it was 3: 30 in the morning! The nurses, and both doctors diagnosed my condition, and efficent manner, had to wait on lab results, but other than that, I was really impressed! Thank You for taking good care of me!
