Atwater Park Splash Pad reviews
13 Recently brought my kids there and the park was open but no information posted about the splash pad. On here it said opens at 10 and we waited til 1015am plus I called a few numbers to get information and didn't get ahold of anyone. Will not be returning.
Better to go to Butler Park.
Had a fun time with my son. Even tho it was chilly out there was another couple with their baby there! It was nice!
Seems the splash pad is for little kids, but the playground is for bigger kids. Overall not bad, has shady seats and is kept in good order.
Love it. But be leery on a Saturday of flying baseballs as it’s right behind home plate. 5 balls flew in the splash pad area (praise the Lord it didn’t hit anyone) in a matter of 30 min.
The park itself is cute and nice. Wish the splash pad was bigger and the playground more of a playground but other than that it is a small hidden gem. Very nice to come and cool down from a hot day.
Such a great expansive park with alit to do. You can charge your phone, walk the trail, play some sport and use the restroom. Very comfortable and clean.
It's ok, nothing great, nice to bring little ones too on a hot day tho, heck I even sat down in the middle to cool off
Great place to take the kids awesome splash pad playground is not good 4 little kids but good for 4 year olds
Second time being there and it is really nice. Kids love it and the shaded benches with tables are right next to it in case parents want to sit and watch children play. Restrooms are next to the benches area.
Had a great time with the family. It's a very nice place to bring your kiddos. Has picnic tables under a shaded area for the parents who dont want to get wet.
My husband and I took our two year old to the Atwater Park/ Splash Pad and we had a blast! It was clean, connected to a small park, and our favorite is that it’s gated! We watched him non stop of course but knowing there was a barrier from him getting to the surround parking lots made the experience so much better. We will be visiting frequently and are so glad to have found this gem in Port Charlotte, FL!
Super clean safe place for the little ones! Shaded picnic area clean bathrooms. We will be back
Nice park for older kids. Younger kids, I would look at going to the port Charlotte splash pad. First off the Atwater location doesn't have as much of the different activities on the pad itself, there are spouts from the ground that's it. Now let's discuss these spouts. There are different speeds and heights of them. The ones on the outside can get extremely strong and it happens fast. So wither or not you are physically holding your babies hands they can go to "check out" the water when it's low and receive a blast to the face that hurts, and water goes in their ears and nose hard. My 1 year old wouldn't even go back to play after once or twice of that. My 3 year old had it happen a couple of times but not as bad because she's not as low to the ground and she ended up playing in the middle where it's softer JUST TO MUCH water for the baby that's 1. All around DECENT park just not personally recommend for the toddlers, babies. Seems baby received to much water in unwanted places and pretty cranky tonight from it.
