Aunt Katie's - Welcome to Breakfast reviews
11Ms Michelle was my waitress today. She was sooooo helpful with helping me figure up the menu. It took me a while to decide there’s so many things to choose from. I finally decided to get a cheese omelette with smoked sausage, onions, green peppers, and spinach. I also added a Cajun shrimp quesadilla. After eating here I will never go anywhere else for breakfast. It seems like every breakfast place taste the same until I ate here. Atmosphere was very nice, the food was spectacular, and the service was amazing. It was busy too, there was a wait when I showed up and everyone still seemed to be calm and efficient. It’s honestly impressive the way things coordinated together. I couldn’t stop myself from eating to take pictures until I was full. The portions are huge.
My friend swears by this place being good so I thought I’d give it a try. She ordered biscuits, gravy, breakfast potatoes and grits so maybe those are the good ones, but my Cajun omelette had burnt, uneven bacon bits that left a bad taste in my mouth literally and figuratively so I don’t think I’m coming back.
Just WoW! Everything is so good and taste so homemade. Have had Michelle as a waitress twice and she is the perfect mix of informative and helpful without hovering. The picture is the Sausage Gravy Omelette. The spiked coffees are a perfect morning pick me up. Hate to review in case it is even more crowded next time but the turn the tables around really quick. If you do have to wait a few minutes they have cold water available. They even refreshed our spiked coffees (just the coffee part) which hit the spot on the way out.
Amazing reviews on here but I was a bit disappointed and that’s pretty rare. Plusses, really friendly staff, pretty clean, good selection of dishes something for everybody. I got Dad’s Breakfast with two extra eggs. Eggs were cooked as I asked. The home fry potatoes looked incredible but weren’t entirely cooked on the inside. The gravy and biscuit were great as was the chicken fried steak. In fact altogether the food was pretty good. GF didn’t get on well with the corn beef hash though.
I guess my main problem came when it was time to check out, the waitress was right there ready with her little card reader and as I took it to pay and sign I noticed she’d already clicked the 25 percent tip option for me. NOPE, totally spoiled the good feeling I’d built up eating a decent breakfast. The price was right up there, 62.27 for the two of us, before the 25 percent tip. We ran it up by having two eggs, ice tea and a mango mimosa with the meal.
Favorite place in Pensacola for brunch. Be ready to wait a little for a table but the wait is worth it, awesome food and service.
Wait staff is always friendly, courteous, kind, and accommodating.food is great and you leave full.
This place is EXCELLENT! Debatably the best restaurant in the area but absolutely the best breakfast/lunch restaurant. Everything is hot, fresh and home made. My son ordered the burger and it was huge, he said it was great. I got the chicken fried steak with eggs, potatoes and biscuits with homemade apple butter. I had enough left for a second meal. My husband got shrimp and grits. Kids eat free off the kids menu. Service was exceptional. Literally can’t say enough. Don’t walk, RUN!
1st time there. I ordered cheese grits, eggs, bacon and a biscuit. The food was delicious! Enjoyed two mimosas, our server was so patient and friendly. That atmosphere was laid back.
6-10-2023: made it back with my wife. She was surprised and the new breakfast spot I found. I n ew it would be up her alley. She ordered the Summer Strawberry salad with was huge! I must admit it was very beautiful and with poppy seed dressing. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with onions and fries. This cheeseburger is
In my top 3 for Pensacola (seriously). Cooked medium and butter grilled bun was just right. The meat was so tender (this is what put it in the top 3 for me). Fries are good but I like the potato cubes better. Zach was the server today and was top notch!
As my first server Selby said; weekends are busy (very busy but we were seated in 15-minutes).
6-8-2023: my first time visit. Thought I’d celebrate my birthday with a breakfast at Aunt Katie’s. I’ve heard so much about this place so hers my take. No complaints whatsoever! Plenty of parking with expanded lots nearby (they are busy in weekends). Lots of seating 2-4-6-8 top table’s available. They were about 1/3 full on a Thursday. Sound acoustic is very good. My server, Selby was very quick and efficient also gave good recommendations. She actually had a couple larger tables and few small ones and me. I ordered that Cajun omelette with potatoes. This was excellent with shrimp inside and out. Not over spicy but just right. Potatoes were tasty and just the right crunch outside and potato softness inside.
Food is soo amazing. Great service. It's always packed and the wait is a little long. But there is good reason!
Great service, great food, and always consistent. One of the best local spots in town! What are you waiting for?
