Ava, Tampa FL

We came is as a party of 8 and the server gave us split checks but the checks came with different orders and she messed it up with other orders. We told her but she was saying like she normally don’t split checks and asked us if we can just Venmo each other. Well she didnt even asked how we wanted to pay. We were very upset about her attitude and she sounded like it was our fault. Very disappointed.

We came in for a happy hour around 530pm. Ordered the meatballs and basilica pizza and the mussels. The meatballs tasted like chef boyardee can meatballs. It was terrible. And it was room temperature which means it was precooked and just put on top of hot tomato sauce. The mussels had good flavor. They forgot our bread so we had to ask the food runner to bring us some. And then the bread ended up tasting like “ coal”. I watched them put it over high fire and “ grill “ it. And that Smokey flavor was too pungent for us to enjoy dipping the bread in the mussel pesto sauce. The pizza was the best thing. It was tasty and decent 8inch size. The drinks were also good as we only ordered a beer and Tito’s grapefruit. The restaurant itself was very big, open and bright. The bartender was friendly. But you can see she was overwhelmed as she worked the entire bar and high top area alone! While other staff was shooting the shxt and laughing. The restaurant has potential but definitely needs a revamp on the food. Would I come back? Definitely not for food but maybe for drinks.

Took 20 mins to get my drink, the server never came around to take care of us. Don't come here, 18% mandatory tip. The glizzies are great. After I got the check it was mandatory 20% tip. Don't come here.

We enjoyed our time at Ava. Cesar took great care of us and we will be back, especially for more pizza. Had the NY strip, bolognese, and spaghetti with meatballs. The pizza was an appetizer for the table and we made it to dessert- Tiramisu, Nutella mousse cake, and Gelato.

Worst Service on Earth. Was here to celebrate a co-workers Birthday. Waitress was high on something. Had to go to the bar for our drinks. Messed up every order and every bill when cashing out. Had to call a manger over in which did not care. We would highly recommend any place but here. Nothing positive to say other than the busser was more than accommodating. Server needs to find another career! Food is only mediocre.

Husband and I ate breakfast here, the pancakes on the kids menu was not any different then the adult size maybe thinner but not by much. Food was great service was good, worth checking out. For sure!

Hannah provides the best service! While responsible for making drinks for the entire restaurant and the bar she makes time for each customer and is always going above and beyond! Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to making sure every table has a great experience! Give this girl a raise!

On a recent trip to Tampa we stumbled on Ava's. The food was outstanding and the service was wonderful. Steph did a great job with recommendations and service. Without a doubt my favorite Italian restaurant

The waitress spent the entire time behind the bar talking to the bar tender, and food made me extreamly sick.lamb bolognese.

Loud kids at table next to us for brunch. Felt like i was at Chuck E Cheese. Food was alright but nothing special. Server seemed mad and very unapproachable.

Food was good… service was aweful…. Rude people…. Plenty of other options to go for food next time….

Nice place for a Father's Day brunch. Was going well until I commented on the undercooked pizza and received a lecture on how I should order it next time.

Went to Ava for the first time Saturday morning for brunch with my mom. The service, food, and atmosphere was top notch. We had originally gone to another restaurant in Hyde park but left due to poor service. We arrived at Ava a few minute before opening and their doors were locked. We were going elsewhere but then a sweet young lady named Or ran out to greet us. She said they were just opening in a few minutes and we could come in and look at the menu. Not many places do this she was amazing. We then had Jacob as our server, he gave us great recommendations and we had an amazing brunch. We will be back again for brunch and to try dinner here. Amazing service with delicious food, too!

I visited this South Tampa location on Sunday 06/18/23 with 8 friend`s. The service was awful. We saw the waitress only two times. We kept looking for her to come and refill our drinks over and over. Our empty plates stayed on the table the whole two hours we were there. We eventually complained to the manager only to show our dissatisfaction. Came to find out that gratuity of 18% is added automatically! So that`s why they don`t care about working for their tips!

Service was amazing, went there for my boyfriends birthday and they let us have the private room and we truly had a blast! Really recommend for birthdays or gatherings.the food was amazing very well done, the stagg was wonderful and the drinks were from another world! Will definitely come back.
