The speed bumps in the parking garage are absurd and make it borderline unusable. Aside from that, the place is pretty much perfect and would have gotten 5 stars.

My husband and I have just moved into Avanti and are absolutely thrilled at the overall experience. The building is beautiful and very well maintained and run. Alicia, Norm and Jonah were all extremely helpful and welcoming. Maintenance is super prompt and also very nice and helpful. We are looking forward to our time here! The amenities are beautiful and our apartment was handed over to us in clean pristine condition.

After being without AC for almost 24 hours in the middle of summer with a 3 week old baby, making multiple calls and e-mails and receiving zero responses from the building management, we expressed our frustration and exasperation to the building managers and they actually THREATENED TO EVICT US (2 YEAR TENANTS WITH A NEWBORN). They were upset because we interrupted a sales conversation with potential renters.

All of the bad reviews are legitimate complaints and examples of the lack of management and service you get at Avanti. For the $4k a month and with so many options in DTSP now, this should be your last option.

I was a founding resident at Avanti and lived there for about 4.5 years before recently upgrading to a new building.

Overall, I feel like the reviews tend to be a bit on the harsh side. I generally enjoyed my stay here. Don’t get me wrong, there were a fair share of problems, but nothing life changing. Most of the buildings issues stemmed from the original builder. They cut corners and we all paid the consequences time and time again. As of late, the building upkeep has improved. All windows have been resealed and hallways and doors have been freshly painted. The maintenance and cleaning crews also do a fantastic job on the daily.

Lastly, I always thought my rent was fairly priced for what I was receiving. The apartment interiors were plenty nice and the building has a great location. My biggest gripe was the quality of tenants went downhill rapidly after Covid. There was literally no community feel. The building is filled with entitled, ignorant adults that don’t act their age.

One of the MANY joys of living in an apartment community is having a skilled maintenance team there to help! I was carrying in boxes when I was moving in and knocked the thermostat off the wall on accident. I was at work when they fixed it, they made sure my fur babies didn't run out AND it was completed before 10am! With so many units in this building I was extremely impressed how quick the response time was! You would have never known they were there too. Thank you Avanti!

I recently renewed my lease for another year at the Avanti based upon the pleasant experience I've had with staff and my unit. Having lived here for a year and speaking with a number of other tenants, I can understand why some people go out of their way to bash this place however based upon my experience, none of the negativity is tied to the leasing or maintenance staff. Yes, there have been issues with the amenities and I know some folks have had issues with water damage (this is the fault of the developer for cutting corners). The location is wonderful and the building itself is awesome. Critiques? Yes, I'd love to see 24/7 security staff (not just the parasite tow truck company waiting to nab someone in the garage) and would also appreciate management taking another look at the ground level parking spots for residents. Maintenance has always been spot on and always helps us out when we have an issue.

I was a tenant from when the Avanti opened. Nothing but bad things happened during my time, but I paid on time, even when I had my whole apartment ripped up (literally, no carpet, no floor in part of the place, and then no drywall or walls and GARBAGE bags on the walls for FOUR MONTHS. I paid on time always and even accepted sleeping on my couch when there was an industrial dehumidifier in my bedroom for ten days. When I asked about how long the pool was not available, I was told that a pool is an amenity and there are no guarantees there. When they took away package delivery, I was told that was special, too. So I finally moved. Then, they sent a couple of extra bills, even though I had auto-debit and always paid everything on time. NOW, I received a call from a collection agency that couldn't answer questions, and when I called the Avanti office, they said "you have to ask the collection agency. " SHOCKING: The collection agency blocked their number on my phone so I couldn't call them back. When I told the office manager, Norm, that I was very distressed about this, he asked if I was threatening him. Of course, I am not threatening him: What would I possibly do and what was the ostensible threat? I just tried to call the collection agency after to pay money I didn't owe and get rid of the Avanti experience forever. And I can't because no one will answer a call and the credit agency blocked their #. So, I am hoping folks see this and that the office sees it, because I will definitely call the local news tomorrow if I don't get some help here - and I will just talk about how we have no rent rules or regulations or guarantees for any kind of service in FL and that I was menaced and threatened myself with a bill I don't believe I owe.

I have lived in Avanti for nearly 4 years. When I moved here I knew I wanted to be in a concrete building (b/c of noise and hurricanes) and this is the complex and location I liked best. In the past 4 years (of course!) there have been bumps in the road with the building needing to be fixed for all sorts of different reasons, most of which were left for the current owner by the previous owner. This is usually what happens. A builder builds, then wants to get it to 90+% occupancy and then they sell. This is a strategy. The problem is, any building issues are now left for the new owner, which is exactly what happened in this case. All of the new buildings going up are going to have issues too. This is just a part of building living. I think Betsy and Norm and Alicia have done a great job managing this as best they could while also having to deal with very angry residents. It can’t be an easy job but they are getting things fixed and that is great! Alicia is also a hug help and joy to speak to you.

What I want to point out is even amongst all these distractions, I still would not have chosen a different building. I am a people person and appreciate kindness and professionalism. The staff here has been nothing but those two things.

Especially the maintenance and cleaning staff who just does not get enough “thank you’s” or credit. The staff here is top notch!

Starting with Sharon who, by herself, shows up and cleans this building every day. Even when the weekend left her tons of things she should not have to deal with. She is the kindest person and deserves a medal for all she does. Seeing her daily makes my day better as she always has a hello and a smile.

The maintenance crew here, Mike, John, Ron, and Jordon are absolutely awesome. I cannot say enough positive things about them. They do such an incredible job, even when it’s not their job to do something (like clean up after residents!). They show up at all hours to help us and they do it with good attitudes and professionalism. My requests are always answered promptly and from what I can tell, they work tirelessly every day. These guys are the real deal and I feel lucky that they work in the building I live in.

Although I did not end up signing with Avanti, the complex is modern and beautiful and their pricing is more than reasonable. My favorite part about the experience was working with Alicia McCarthy. She always had my best interests at heart and went above and beyond to make sure she was catering to my needs. If you are looking for luxury living at an affordable price in St Petersburg I would highly recommend working with Alicia and the Avanti team.

The place has a horrible layout and smells like cheap strippers sprayed the whole place down. The place smells terrible and gives me a headache from all the chemicals.
