Provided me with an empty tank and had the audacity to charge me $90 for returning their vehicle with MORE fuel than when received. Had to resolve this issue with Avis HQ by showing them receipts, mileage, and fuel gauge photos.

We left Disney for part of the week at the beach and renting here was perfect. So smooth and easy. Luz at Avis at Downtown Disney Hilton was helpful and kind. After a frustrating experience at another hotel location where the staff left before closing even though we had reserved a vehicle, it was a breath of fresh air to have an easy experience. We got set with just what we needed in no time. I would definitely recommend going with this location.

Awful experience don't make any maintenance to their cars
3 cars pure junk no engine oil no water no anti freez liquid awful smell.
Waste hole day from office to office changing car and all 3 they changed have same problems.poor maintenance.

Poor service, staff was unprepared for reservations. I don’t understand why we waited so long when you knew we were coming because we had a reservation! Then the staff asked us to wait 10 minutes, but every 10 minutes was actually 30 plus minutes. A close to accurate wait time is appropriate and appreciated because we are renting the car to stay on time for events we needed the car for!

First thing I want to say is that the person at the desk was trying to be very helpful. Unfortunately the Avis system would not accept my credit card. Even though I had used the credit card to reserve a lyft to the Hilton and I used it at a restaurant afterwards. But Avis at this hotel would not accept it. They tried to scan it many times but it didn't work. Addition to scanning. If they also try to key the numbers in. It's still didn't work. They also tried my debit card. It didn't work either. And yet still it worked at a restaurant and at Lyft. So I don't know what's going on but it makes for an unacceptable experience.

Have used avis for decades and have never had a bad experience. Always clean cars and always fully functional. But unfortunately they have changed things up and my corporation has told us to stop using them. Not sure what they did to make my company unhappy but I will miss you avis.

Worst place ever. I miss hertz. Waited 36 minutes behind 2 person on an empty counter. Then 1 person came out saying something to the first family. The another take over the same family and the other one didn't even bother answering other customer. It's been 1 hour now and I'm still waiting behind the same persons!

Show up on time of reservation but car is not ready to be picked up. Had to wait for over an hour.
Not the fault of the local employees obviously, they were really nice and accommodating, but Avis in general.

This place is a scam. The middle aged guy at the counter added random items to our reservation ($90 extra), assuring us that they will be automatically removed upon returning the car, and now we have to call Avis to remove them. He even pressured us to “trust him” and purchase this and that. DO NOT TRUST HIM. Make sure you have him remove everything you don’t need from your printed reservation.

Was overcharged. I was told I could return the car after hours since it was picked up at 10pm therefore it would be a 24-hour rental. Was charged for an additional day. The rep I spoke to was unhelpful and rude.

Extremely disappointed. I reserved an XL vehicle and got a medium SUV. I requested a larger vehicle twice during the week and twice it was given away (I was 2 HR late picking it up) but I did call. A simple call from Avis would have resolved the problem.

People seem to only hammer them where they are off-piste. I suspect there are many happy punters who dont bother to review.
I arrived on time, was seen to promptly, had an option of 2 cars, no issues.

Rented a car form Avis for 6 hours to drive from Miami to Orlando Christmas Eve (about a 4-hour drive). We received the car later than the 10am pick up because of Avis. Then arrived in Orlando before the drop off time to find that the location closed early. There was a line at the counter. Everyone thought they closed at 6pm including the person we when we picked up the car. (it was 4pm) We waited for 45 min then were on the phone for another 45 trying to get help. There was no drop box and the only solution we were offered was to drive another 30 min out of the way to drop off the car. This would have added at least another hour dealing with this and we were already going to be late to the event we were to attend. We advised that we were on a schedule, and it was not possible to take the car to that location. The supervisor was of no help and said she would escalate to a manager who would call us back. We never got a call back. We retuned the car to the location when it reopened 2 days later. They charged us over $300 more in addition to our original cost. We called customer service again and they admitted it was their fault but refused to remove the charges. They said they would reduce it 25%, we said no, so they offered to reduce it 50%. When you admit it is your fault then you should take not 25% or 50% but 100% responsibility and reduce this to our original charge. Total charges for 6 hours $478. I could have taken an Uber for $303.69

Avis should be proud of their employees at this location, Dalia was the nicest I've ever seen, she went out of her way to help me, got me a upgrade with the help of the awesome manager that wasn't even on premises just helped me over the phone, they deserve much more then a 5 star.
