20NOT GOOD! I arrived and the agent asked for and swiped my card multiple times. Finally he said their system was not generating a rental agreement and I'd have to purchase another reservation. That was not acceptable since I had chosen the "Pay Now" option when I reserved the first time. This went back and forth for a few minutes and finally he said he could give me a refund. I told him I didn't want a refund, I needed a rental car. I am SO DISGUSTED with the whole process. I contacted customer service, but they were closed until tomorrow at 7AM. The agent was very kind, but didn't seem knowledgeable about the system. I don't expect an employee to know the ins and outs of everything, but you HAVE to know that requiring a customer to purchase again after already buying and receiving nothing is NOT a solution to a problem. It is indeed another problem!
No cars when I paid 6 months ahead. Gave me a huge ram truck for me and all my kids and luggage and it was raining. Didn’t get me a car for 5 days into an 8 day trip. Ridiculous. Didn’t offer any money off either
Everything was easy. The people that I encountered were friendly and helpful. My car was clean and had no problems. Would use Avis again.
Beware of added charges after you return your vehicle. $38 per day turns into $75 per day.
Car was in poor condition, dangerous to drive. Lug nut missing on rt. Front wheel, tires were bald, suspension was noisy, in poor condition.
The agents at this location need more training. I rent a car on a, regular basis and pick of from this location. Every time I pick up it takes forever and today when returning my car the AGENT, Shae give me a TOTAL amount from her computer screen and she check me out and when I receive the receipt, it is 60 dollar more expensive than my rental. At this point she can't help me, so she give me a phone number to customer service and tell me I have to adjust it on my own behalf. This takes me 30 min before the issue is resolved. This is the lowest level of customer service having to go through every week, dealing with Customer service on the phone adjusting my total due amount. I rent a car from this Daytona Beach airport location every month and I have to deal with this error every time. More training and knowledge to the agents please.
Good service, preferred pass doesn’t always work and I never get upgraded, even when using an upgrade code.
We received several updates and reminders prior to picking up the car. Service at the Daytona airport counter was pleasant and quick both for getting and returning the car. We were given a Kia K5 but my husband felt uncomfortable driving it, despite the fact it's a decent car.
We would deal with Avis again
On Sundays, there are very few rental locations available, usually only at airports. The Daytona Beach Int'l.site was/is available. St. Augustine Regional was open but no available cars. You have to search online for the open and available locations. DAB is one.

Horrible experience! Closed and left for the night with no notice and was unable to pick up my rental. Not been able to speak to any one in customer service and not been able to get a refund.
Got in early to Daytona Beach and the agent was able to move our reservation up a day! Saved us an Uber ride! Car was clean and served us well for our weekend.
I added an extra driver, my son, to the contract. The counter person NEVER NEVER NEVER told me that it was an extra $65 just to add him. NOW he never drove the car, also he is on my car insurance. This charge is deceptful and fraud

Some kind of scam is in place to take my receipt from $102 to $368 by placing a $250 misc charge on my bill with no explanation.
I am very disappointed. Poor handling in receiving the car and general handling in the order and payment. Never Avis again
Staff not very friendly and cars that are very beat up long lines what can I say use someone else
Car stunk of sweat. Rear windows were all smudged up like from some grimy kid’s fingers. This was a pretty unpleasant experience as you can imagine
