7This location will tell you they have cars until you physically get there. This is my fourth time going to them WITH a reservation and three times they didn't have any vehicles readily available. They would say, "The person hasn't turned in their vehicle and tell you they are waiting for one to come in" They tell you to call the Avis customer service… basically telling you - "you're on your own". Not professional at all! Go elsewhere! Because even if you call … they charge you more!
Worst car rental experience I've ever had; after an hour of waiting, I finally received the vehicle, but at the time of inspection, both I and the individual delivering the vehicle (very nice gentleman) noted a noise. At that time, I went to the lady at the front desk (The manager) to change the car and have one that was functioning properly (which, in my opinion inspections of the car should be done before the car is given to the customer for safety reasons; ensuring that people live in a safe environment should be a company priority). The manager which was very impolite by the way gave me only one option which was the electric car which I had decline before. In that moment, she abruptly stated, "So you want to cancel your reservation? " The reason I'm leaving a negative review is because you should inspect your vehicles before renting them out to ensure the safety of the renters, and the manager should learn how to communicate with customers more effectively.
This review serves as more than just a negative comment; it functions as a means of raising awareness for the company to protect its sales by ensuring that consumers are not provided with improperly functioning cars, preventing potential tragedies.
I rented with an online reservation and when I arrived they told me that car is not here and they wanted to give me a more expensive one, the page is wrong and the employee's treatment is disastrous
Do yourself a favor. Go to a different Rent-A-Car company.
This Avis is the worst, specifically this location in Cutler Bay.
This location deserves zero stars…. I had such a terrible and unprofessional encounter with this location supervisor Raul… During a reservation for a family trip for my daughters 1st Birthday to Orlando he didnt honor the price that was given to us by the Avis company and even after calling customer service and having them honor the price he declined it…. Telling us that that he was not going to honor it and told us we needed to put $1,000.00 plus a deposit in order for him to give us the reservation that we had made months in advance…. I would NEVER recommend this location especially with RUDE RAUL as the “manager” / unprofessional/ unpleasant supervisor/ no customer service and the worse experience I have every had …!

SO I WOULD LIKE TO POLITELY SAY TO RAUL YOU NEED TO LOOK FOR A DIFFERENT CAREER ONE THAT DOESNT INVOLVED CUSTOMER SERVICE!
