Backflip Beach Bar & Kitchen

This is our favorite beach bar in Fort Lauderdale. Wonderful views, a great vibe, friendly staff and surprisingly decent food. If you’re staying anywhere in metro FLL, you should give it a try.

My husband and I enjoyed Backflips for their location on the beach, food and service was great! We will be back for sure.

Great sea view bar with great food and reasonable prices. I had the best fish and chips I had in my life. Atmosphere was great. Views were great. Waiters are quite available and quick but they don’t come and disturb you every three minutes asking if you need something else.

This restaurant is also open to public as a walk in. You don’t need to be staying at the hotel. The valet also allow you to self park your car for 10$.

It is a must try, far better than restaurants at the lauderdale by the sea.

Food was good, staff was friendly, and location was pretty nice too. You have a view of the beach while eating your food.

Great atmosphere. The coconut shrimp was delicious but the rest was just meh. Staff was very nice.

Hidden behind Plunge Hotel, this bar is a gem! Overlooks the ocean, good vibe, good music, great service, food and drinks! Glad our friends ran into it by mistake. We'll be back very soon.

Seemed pretty busy and small but it has a great view and entrance to the Sea. Drinks are pricey but not strong at all so be sure to ask for extra alcohol.

Great location right on the beach! Food was very good, had chicken wings & shrimp, both very tasty. The frozen cocktails were also great! Highly recommended as a beach bar/restaurant.

In attentive staff. 3 ppl working the bar and still took 15 minutes to get a drink. Then took another 15 to pay the bill. Was readyvto walk. Not worth the trip with so many other good places in the area.

Beachside bar serving casual fare with tropical drinks. Apps are great for sharing, entrees include from hot dogs, burgers, and tacos. The bar can get busy and service can fall behind, try to come around peak times.

Sat for 25 minutes with no service while others sat next to us were served right away. Had to go to the bar. Paid $6 for a draft and when I got the server's attention for another she charged over $7. Went back the next night and the same lack of attention. If you go make sure you wake them down right away!

Oh man the food was so good! Drinks were spot on, and the ladies serving you were nice and had a sense of humor. Finding free parking may be tough, but dogs are welcome (we didn't know) so we will be going back with our pooch.

We had the blackened Mahi burger and veggie tacos. The sides were also very good:)

Wonderful casual location with outside seating right on the beach. Just what you want on a beautiful beach day. Looking forward to the tacos based on reviews but the mahi was dry and the shrimp a bit overcooked as well. The beer was not very cold. We wanted to love it - maybe just an off day!

Such a fun vibe for a drink on the beach! Great places to hang outside. Further away from the crowds when we were there, so it was great.

Great casual place with a beautiful view of the beach. The shrimp tacos were really good. The happy hour beers are five dollars and there are some nice craft options. Lynne was a great server. Our kids had fun playing soccer on the beach while we waited for our food. We'll be back!

We really enjoyed it here! Laid back atmosphere- beachfront. Never felt rushed to leave- had plenty of time to enjoy our drinks and food. Our table enjoyed the shrimp tacos, fish tacos and steak sandwich. Our server Nikki was AWESOME! I have never tried ginger beer before which was in the drink I wanted to order. She brought me out a sip to try and I loved it! Her service was above and beyond. She could’ve just tried to explain it- and I probably would’ve passed. Excellent service- food was hot and fresh. Perfectly timed throughout our visit. If your looking for a reasonable portion and some tasty food and drinks while chillin by the ocean- this is the place for you!

I don't write bad reviews often but avoid this place.not at all nice, rip off happy hour 5 bucks for a small plastic beaker didn't make me happy! Also it was very scruffy with left over revolting looking food obviously left due to the quality was littering the shoddy table tops an absolute top attraction.for cockroaches.
