Banfield Pet Hospital reviews
16We take our Little Amelia here for her check ups. They are so good with her and she loves going there.
This Banfield has always been wonderful with my dog and cats. The medical plans and monthly payments are a Godsend! They have been so helpful with getting me scheduled for in-room appointments instead of drop offs for two of my animals who are highly anxious. They also are understanding where finances are concerned. My family is very grateful for Banfield.
While we have never had bad service from the staff here. Aubrey is AMAZING and always so friendly. Today she really went the extra mile to help me out with some insurance concerns because I was having no success on my own calling their corporate number. They have always treated my fluffy baby well there and even though I cannot afford the insurance anymore, we will still want to take him there if he ever needs help
I have never left a bad review for any establishment, but I feel other pet owners need to be aware. My dog has been a patient since he was 6 weeks old. He has seriously anxiety scared of thunder, loud noises, fireworks, change of surrounding. He is a big baby and super friendly when we are with him, but does not do well when he's separated from his family. During Covid they went to drop off appointments only and for some reason have kept this as a regular visit. I told them that is why I didn't bring him when they started this since I wasn't comfortable just dropping him off. I have been paying his wellness package money for 5 years and decided I would try to bring him back this week. I did not request a drop off appointment, however when I arrived they had me go back with him and he was as happy as can be. The assistant then told me they only had drop off appointments and I would have to pick him up after his vaccinations and normal tests. This is where I was wrong, against my better judgement I decided to let them proceed. She said they would call me when he was ready. I decided to kill time doing some shopping in the plaza and then waiting in my car. Finally 2.5 hours later I called and asked he if was ready for pick up since it had been a long time. The woman (the manager) on the phone put me on hold then came back and said we have had some issues your dog won't let the dr or staff work on him at all, but I should give them another hour to keep trying. I said absolutely not, I am in the parking lot and I'm coming to get him. When I arrived she had me come in the back because he wouldn't let her take him out of the cage. When I walked back he was shaking and in the corner of the cage. When I opened it he was kissing me and even her he was so happy to see me. The assistant and Dr then came over and I asked them when they attempted to do his tests and they said a few minutes after I left. They couldn't proceed so they put him in the cage and left him and never called me. I was so angry I asked I understand he wouldn't let you hear him, but why would you not call me and just leave him in a cage shaking and afraid. They had no answer. I was so upset and the manager who was very nice told me she completely agreed and apologized for what had happened. I told her we would not be back again and that I would like to cancel my wellness package there. It was totally unacceptable and I was livid. No excuse to leave my dog like that and not try to contact me. Please, if you have doubts, do not leave your pet here and feel that they will be cared for.
I took my Great Dane Clyde here to get his vaccines and everyone was so nice and polite and very understanding. Even with his reactive/behavior problems they still were very nice and caring. They handled everything so well i couldn’t be more satisfied and happy with our visit. Thank you to everyone that helped and did their part into making our visit as calm and happy as you could.
I've been to the Banfield in Palm Harbor before with 0 issues or complaints so I expected the same at the Trinity location. That was my first mistake. I booked an appointment about a month out for a cat I recently adopted and received a phone call a few days prior to confirm my 2pm appointment time. I arrived a few minutes early to the appointment, only to be met with an incredibly rude individual who let me know "your appointment was at 10: 30 and I called you multiple times and left you multiple messages. " I showed her my email that said my appointment was at 2pm and looked to see if I had any missed calls from them or messages - I did not. She went back to speak with the vet and came out to say the vet was in surgery and there were unforseen complications. I'd have to leave my cat there and come back in a few hours. I said absolutely not - if she was that rude to me to my face within 5 seconds of meeting me how could I trust her to have compassion with my pet? While we attempted to find a better appointment time, the other woman at the front desk (who seemed lovely) mentioned they'd been having phone issues and other patients have said they aren't getting calls or voicemails - so clearly this issue was not on me. We ended up not being able to reschedule for a time that works and I just left.
Scheduling issues come up, surgeries (I'd imagine) have complications all the time. These things happen. But to be so incredibly rude from literally the first encounter is just not necessary. I can't speak for any other aspect of this business as I will not be returning. Life is stressful - be kind. The whole situation could have been handled so differently.
This company as hole is a joke. They have been charging me for 5 months for 2 dogs that they put down in room 3 at the Trinity location. I’m not blaming the location, but the fact that I have cancelled with corporate twice and still get charged for deceased dogs is an absolute joke. According to corporate “they received discounts so we need to charge you for the entire year of the service”. The most unethical experience I’ve ever had. Find a vet who cares for you as a pet owner more than this company.
I had called Banefield in Trinity and they were able to get me in right away and I traveled over an hour to see them. Tammy was extremely helpful and The Doctor was very nice and caring. I was nervous about leaving my puppy and not going back but it wasn’t that bad after all. The doctor was professional and gave me a call and also discussed what needed to be done for my chow chow. He was more than helpful and I ended up signing up for the wellness plan. It was a great experience. And kyomi was comfortable with them as well and they didn’t say anything negative about her being a chow chow as most vets I’ve been to. They made her feel loved and didn’t judge her because of her breed. I will continue to use them and I would recommend people to come and give them a try. Thank you. Nirinjana and kyomi
Their phone hardly ever works, it took me 3 months to get an appointment because everytime I call, their phone system is "down" I finally got the appointment for my dog, and when I got my dog back he was missing half of his dew claw, they clearly put something on it to stop the bleeding but never said a word to me. The following 2 days, my dog had his tail between his legs and was acting weird. I'd like to know what actually happened to my dog, but I know I won't ever find out. I've been taking my animals to Banfield for 8 years, and I refuse to ever go back after this. Even their other store more north is horrible
They show lots of love to my pet Oscar when I bring him in very friendly atmosphere. He looks forward to his treats!
Because of the fact that everything is going and price, Petsmart is not that bad. Only thing is my dog is on a specific diet, and they constantly are out of it. Tired of hearing that they don't know if they'll get it or not, ummm.order food/everything better.
Love the staff, they work so hard to give your pets amazing care. They genuinely love your pets and are always courteous even when they're overwhelmed! Dr. Holmes always comes out to give you updates (and so do all the other doctors) so the reviews where they say Drs aren't seen isn't true.
Corporate establishment at its finest.
I had a stunningly bad experience on my first visit of this establishment. Due to the lack information on Banfields's site during online time reservation as a first time customer.
1. The nearest appointment is within 2 weeks.
2. It is not clear that even if you have an appointment at a certain time and it has been confirmed a day before you are not guaranteed to be see at that time.
The top priority of this Hospital is DAILY SUERGERIES at the time of your appointment. Surgeries make corporate money ($$$$), your visit does not ($$$). Therefore, Banfield payment bundle contract was the first thing that I was introduced to. When I showed lack of interest, a front deck rep has lost attention.
3. The next thing, YOU are not going to meet a doctor at all. You are supposed to leave your pet for several hours and pick it up later. So.it cannot be proven that your pet was even seen by the doctor. They handle you the bill for whatever they might have done.
4. If you'd like to see a vet, you are supposed to call and request your appointment with a vet that does not do surgeries.
5. They do not pick the phone in the morning. I called to cancel today at 9: 10 am, waited for 15 minutes, no one picked up. (Imagine if you had an emergency with your pet.)
In conclusion, it is an animal hospital but it is not for pets.
Horrific. The most uncaring staff I have ever encountered in a veterinary hospital. Do yourself a favor and go to a real vet. The doctors and staff at this place must not be able to get jobs anywhere else. Just look at the turnover rate. But they will go out of their way to sell you their contractual veterinary plan that costs a fortune. The Trinity Petsmart this so called hospital is located in is no better.
Where do you find the free office visit coupons? I had called and nobody can tell me can someone help me please
I scheduled an appointment for a rescue I inherited. I had to wait a month for the appointment. Two days before the appointment, I get a call from the office saying the vet needed to reschedule my 4: 30pm appointment because something came up. The young lady that called, gave me a reschedule date and time. I picked the day and told her I needed a late appointment due to work. She said no problem, you're a new patient so that's fine. She gave me a time of 5pm. I agreed. The day of my appointment, it was raining. I was 25 mins early for my 5: 00pm appointment so decided to wait the rain out in the car. I arrived inside at 4: 55pm. Upon checking in, the receptionist rudely states "You're 30 mins late for your appt. Let me go see if the dr can fit you in". I explained that my appt was for 5 oclock that I was not late. She ignores me and darts away from the counter. She's gone for what seems like forever. She comes back.again with her rude attitude and says "the dr is too busy to see you today, you need to reschedule". At which time I explained that they were the ones who cancelled on me and they were the ones that rescheduled that specific time, not me. She didn't want to hear anything I had to say. Worst customer service! I left with my dog and will not return, nor will I ever recommend this place.
