If negative stars were possible I'd give them -5 stars. I saw a Christal Waller and I have never felt more rushed at a doctors office in my life. Then wrote me a prescription that wasn't even meant to treat what I was seeing her about with terrible side effects instead of something meant to treat me. Then they were supposed to refill my other prescriptions two days later my pharmacy still hadn't gotten the prescriptions so I call them and they tell me she would have them sent out by end of day, didn't happen, so the following day I have my pharmacy fax them and after all this they denied my refill request. Worst hospital and nurse practitioner I have ever seen in my life. Terrible experience.

UNBELIEVABLE, I tried to call my gynecologist at The Baptist Hospital, I called Every Available Phone Number 850…. And Also The New Baptist Hospital on Brent 448……NO ANSWER … Phone rang many times before a recorder message said, “ this is The Service” Press 1 leave a message……of course NOBODY called me back
That Sounds Like A Joke …. Unfortunately this is The TRUTH
No more comments, no more judgments

Worst experience ever. Deserves negative stars. The staff was horrible. Brought my neighbor in because of constantly throwing up and severe abdominal pain. Took more than 3 hours for him to be taken back. It took less than 2 for them to determine there was nothing wrong with him and discharge him. Lied and said he was eating and holding down food when he hadnt even attempted to eat anything while there. He said he didnt have a ride and they said they would take care of it and pushed him to the lobby where the security guard told him he couldnt stay th there and needed to leave. They were going to push an old man out into the cold. We are headed back home now and hes so upset at the mistreatment that Im concerned that hes ready to just give up on living. That will totally be on the staff working this Sunday evening. I personally will never go to this hospital and will be sharing this experience across facebook and with everyone I know.

During my visit according to their patient bill of rights, this ER staff has neglected and violated #1,6,11,12,18, and 20.

Not to mention the older Asian lady who was drawing blood for the er department on 11/10/23 (11: 30am-6: 30pm) never once covered her cough or washed her hands. At first I thought she had a mask on and that’s why she wasn’t covering her mouth when she coughed. Now I am sick with flu like symptoms.

Doctors were rude and not understanding at all. Did not seem to care about what I was dealing with and never came back into my room. Matter of fact no one came in my room until it was discharge time. I never saw the doctor or anyone again until 3 hours later when the nurse came in to discharge me. I felt isolated and almost as if I was in a jail cell with the way I was being treated.

Absolutely terrible bed side manners from er staff and poor hygiene practice as well. Do not go here if your life depends on it because of their negligence you might not make it out.

Took my mom to the ER with heart trouble after dealing with 2 hospitals in Okaloosa County for months and have gotten NOWHERE. Dr. Riley was and absolute advocate for us and has us admitted and on the right track to getting something done! Thank you Dr. Riley!

Checked out ama 230a due to nurse bedside manner. Told me I was under "psychosis" and they would "chain me to the bedpost'. Beautiful facial facility, ugly inside.

While I understand the facility is new and folks are still learning the ropes I think there is clearly a problem with one of the security guards. At 7: 43pm on Tuesday October 31st the shorter bald guard who was stationed at the ER was very rude and nasty. He's not a drill instructor and I'm not a prison inmate. He needs to be retrained. If he had spoken to me like that on the street he'd be in the ER and I'd be in the county jail. He should not have job dealing with people.

Choosing between death or going to the ER here, death is definitely got to be the least painful option.

Instead of building a new facility they should have focused on paying medical staff more and recruiting new medical staff.

Took a friends mother who is 85 years young to the emergency room on 10/29/2023. I signed her in and they took her back to a triage room about 1/2 hour after we got there they did her vitals and a nurse/doctor not sure she asked a few questions I showed her the list of medications that she was on and her symptoms of UTI and how long she had been feeling the symptoms. I also stated she had alzheimer's and had not been eating or drinking (very little) in the last 3 weeks said she wanted to do some lab work and that she was probably dehydrated then was sent back to waiting room. About 20 minutes they took her back again and sent up and IV line and sent her back to the waiting room. I think this process was a very bad way to do this (IV line and back to waiting room?) After 2 hours have gone by I went to the check in desk and ask the employee there did he have an idea how much longer is was going to be to start doing some test his reply was very very rude to say they were short staffed but had plenty rooms. What does that mean? I also asked why they would start an IV line and not take any blood to start some test (the reply to this was so that if they needed to give medication in a hurry they could) AGAIN WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? My guess there is do you have to go into cardiac arrest to be seen? I took my seat again and watched 2 other people who came in at least an hour after we did come in and released, still nothing else was done for the patient I had brought in. About an hour after that she was exhausted and not feeling good so I went to the front desk again and asked that they just take the IV out of her arm that I would just take her elsewhere and he replied NO PROBLEM with attitude. He asked me if I had power of attorney and i replied I did not need that because she can sign herself out. This employee was so rude, either is so overworked or is in the wrong profession. My point is after building a $650 million dollar hospital the triage system would be better and the care certainly was the worst experience I have ever seen in a hospital. I have never posted a review before in my life but I certainly thought this experience needed one and I hope I get an explanation as to why we were treated and NOT treated this way. Also I hope that the triage system is changed. Why would you put people in the waiting room with IV ready? To think that the patient I brought in could have been dehydrated (your staff mentioned) but never even started her on a bag of fluids. The nurse/doctor also stated that the antibiotic she was on caused bad kidney functions. WOW! She was never really cared for. I am concerned for the care one would get when they come to Baptist Hospital.

I hope you are not having an actual medical emergency, because if you are, you will be made to wait. Hours.
Still waiting.could be hemorrhaging out, no one knows. Still waiting.

Extremely poor communication and non-existent follow-up. You will never be able to get through to ANYBODY for ANY REASON.

On Wednesday, September 27th, my mother was admitted to the Emergency Room due to multiple falls, dizziness, and altered mental status. The medical team conducted a thorough evaluation to assess the possibility of a stroke. A CT scan was performed, and an MRI was subsequently ordered, although it was not conducted until September 30th. During the evaluation, a suspicious spot was discovered on her lung, raising concerns about the presence of lung cancer. Additionally, her blood count was found to be low. These findings were all identified on September 27th. Regrettably, it has taken five days for my mother to undergo an Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) procedure. Furthermore, the doctor's recommendation for a bronchoscopy to obtain a biopsy of the lung spot has not been carried out. It is important to note that my mother has been taking Lunesta for sleep for several years. However, the medication was abruptly discontinued, which is not recommended due to potential withdrawal effects. During her hospital stay, the first instance of room cleaning occurred four days after admission. My mother was not offered assistance with changing her linens or personal hygiene. On October 1st, I took it upon myself to help her shower and change her sheets. I removed her telemetry (heart monitor) to facilitate this process, and despite the monitor being off for over 30 minutes, no one inquired about it. The lack of communication throughout this entire ordeal has been extremely disappointing. It is evident that my mother has been unnecessarily kept in the hospital for a week, as she had returned to her baseline condition by September 28th. These procedures and evaluations could have easily been conducted on an outpatient basis.

I've waited 3 months for an echo stress only to be called today and told they have to cancel because the 1 person that can do it is not available. Now rescheduled for over a month later. Not the first time they've done this and it takes a long time to get an appointment. You can't get an x-ray at the Pace office becausre they don't have enough people to man the office. Built a big new millions of dollars hospital but perhaps you should hire people to do the jobs that are not being done or taking forever to be done. You fail. Healthcare here sucks.
