Baptist Hospital Emergency Room, Miami FL

Baptist is definitely one of top tier hospitals, especially the MCI. As an ill person, I'm there a lot. My most recent experience: the nurse Nayibe was great. Kind, efficient, knowledgeable, caring. The EMTs and paramedics were just as great. The nurse Jessica made my experience so stressful. She was clearly distracted, uncaring, and a bit incompetent. Any time I had asked for something, like water, she never brought it. It was clear she did not want to be there. When drawing my blood, she spilled blood all over me, my clothes, and sheets, and did nothing to remedy that. I had to go through drawers myself to find gauze + bandages. It's really hit or miss, dependent on your provider (s).

If it wasn't for the consideration the courtesy and how proficient the staff is I would still be in so much pain and not would know what was wrong with me. I think you so much and I would not change this hospital for nothing in the world thank you Baptist your doctor is your staff are the best that includes every person that you have working for this awesome Hospital thank you again

Baptist hospital, ER staff was very helpful for me.i had very heavy vomiting whole day and night, i won’t be able to drink water or eat, whatever i ate and drank its came out through vomiting and heavy heartburn too. Dr.and RN nurses and all the night staff were very helpful, they gave me a good service, easily recovered me and good tretment as well that’s why i was very fast recovered and now I am happy and heathy my self.i can eat and drink anything.weakness had gone. The first time I have experienced discrimination in this country, when I arrived at the hospital, I was treated by some dark-haired nurses and they were very rude to me for the mere fact that I did not speak fluent English like them and they bullied me from one to the other until someone spoke some Spanish and wanted to help me but was not very kind either "he just did his job"
It's very sad having a medical situation and getting to where they can help you and that they make you feel this bad for the rest the hospital is fine for me and I repeat, this is the first time that this has happened to me in this hospital! Well, other times other nurses have been super kind! They should have a bit of humanity and empathy and less racists, it's not my fault that I have white skin and straight hair” I am not racist, I have never been, on the contrary, and today I felt very sad. I hope my comment helps something and that they can solve it so that this doesn't happen anymore and other patients don't feel rejected like me….

I was seen immediately for my issue. From registration, the nurses, the doctors, the respiratory therapist and transportation.service was quick and excellent. I was given explanation every step of the way and involved in my treatment.

I arrived very badly needing quick attention and I had it. All those who received me, from the door. They gave me a room quickly and a RN Melanie and an assistant Maria, Dr. Douriez, very good, treated me with great mercy. The XR and Scan technicians, anyway everyone. Just one complaint, Melanie seems to lose patience very quickly, I repeatedly asked her to go to the bathroom and she wouldn't let me, I had a very hard time, since I don't know why I couldn't use that new gadget. On another occasion I asked him to raise the cuff that measures my blood pressure because the IV needle was squeezing me and it hurt. He said yes but he left and left me like that. It seemed to me that it is not prepared to serve older people, I'm sorry.

For me there is no other hospital in this city of the quality of Baptist. The doctors, technical nurses, all the staff, who work are of excellent quality and professionalism. I slipped on the floor in the ER. My husband’s nurse saw me and made sure to help me up. Code 9 was called and I wasn’t allergic to leave until I was thoroughly checked. All was fine. Great work by all

Very bad experience, I had been hospitalized for abdominal pain, they discharged me with the pain and I had to return the next day, the same doctor was there as the previous time and he told me that they could not treat me because I was coming back for the same thing as before. I had been treated, it was a very hard and humiliating experience, I have been here in the US for 34 years, I am an American Citizen and I have free Medicare and Medicaid, I still do not understand how such a named hospital denies medical attention to a human being, I would never return, no They are the only ones, and the doctor who treated me was very unprofessional and without a drop of humanity, what a pity that you are starting such a beautiful career to save lives and help people with such bad consciences. I came home with a blow to the forehead and they attended to me immediately. The doctor gave me the option of giving me stitches or sticking it on and suggested sticking it on because as it was on my face and the truth is, it was an amazing doctor.

Fotini very nice too. I could not say 1 bad thing about the staff. The staff in CT scan dept also caring and polite. It was a pleasure today to witness such great care.

I when the emergency room from work. I was very surprised at the treatment I was given. Because usually baptist hospital has exceptional service. But was taken to the back for Ekg. Right away on arrival as I was having chest pain. The problem was once I got to the back of the emergency room and was given a bed. I was in that room for over an hour before I saw my nurse came in and started to hook me up to the blood pressure monitoring system. And I had to ring my call light to even get that done, at this time Still don't have no line running or connected. Don't forget I was having chest pain during all this time. About 2 hours after arriving my heart rate started climbing, I fell like something was on my chest. I ring the call light calling for help. The gentleman asked me what is wrong. I said I need help. Finally I got the head nurse and the doctor in my room. My heart rate at this time was 150 and climbing all the way to 170. Everyone telling me to calm down. The doctor asked the nurse this patient has been here for 2 hours and still doesn't have a line in? The nurse said they didn't put one in when she got her labs done
The doctor said they didnt had to that's your job. I seriously pray I don't have to ever go back to that emergency room. The Nurse Dora. Was very nice and professional. She worked in the imaging center. Thank you for taking care of me Dora. You were the sunshine in my stay at baptist hospital.

The level of care I received today at Baptist Hospital Emergency Care was outstanding. I didn’t have to wait long, was diagnosed immediately and was released quickly. Dr Janes and his staff carrying and dedicated professionals. Thank you!

Im 8 month pregnant and came through the emergency. They took for ever to see me and the guys who supposed to take me to maternity were chilling looking at their phones no a clue I was waiting in pain. Then he asked me If I was visiting … and looked bothered that he was asked to take me to maternity. Hospital look creepy and employees are not in a rush to help you at all.

With the fast, professional, kind, polite, helpful, extreme courtesy, every employee working efficiently just like an fine Swiss watch, can not find anything wrong at all Clean waiting area, restrooms, examining rooms etc, i am very thankful with every one that helped me get well. Angels without wings every one of them from the nurses and CPS to the doctors this last visit was to the emergency room after I started bleeding after kidney surgery the speed and dedication and professionalism and the kindness shown to me was above and beyond. God Bless You All

I’m so glad I decided to come here. After a very disappointing event at the new Jackson center in Doral, I made the decisión of not staying home (as their doctor asked me to do and get an appt with a neurologist) everyone here has been very professional, kind and have shown empathy with my case. I’m still under an extensive studio to know what is happening to me but so far I’m quite pleased with all the actions done and each person’s care for me.
