This place is a joke. My daughter and I stopped in for two gowns for a wedding. Not one customer in the store, The young girl asked if I had an appointment. I said no. She said she had to talk to her boss. She said we could try on two dresses that’s all. I said What if we would like to try on more. She again went to her boss and her bosses response, in spanish to the helper, if we paid $75 to be helped. Are you kidding me? No one was there. They probably lost a $5000 sale today for being so rude.

Choosing Barbie's for my dress was by far the best decision I have ever made. Not only was the staff very helpful and easy to communicate with, but the owner, Erika, personally introduced herself to me and did everything she could to help me get everything out of my experience. Both Erika and her staff dedicated so much time to my presence in their boutique which made it even easier to find my perfect dress! Not only is Barbie's Boutique in the perfect Sarasota location, but the wide variety of options can help you find something for ANY occasion. If you don't choose Barbie's you're absolutely missing out. I will certainly be back and I am already excited for when that time comes!

Looked cute, wanted to get some things, but with there Go Brandon signs in the window, Dasantis and gun stickers, these owners are to racist for me to give money to. Don't support this business.

While I did not end up buying a dress with Barbie, she was incredibly helpful, responsive, and accommodating to assist with ordering the dress I was originally planning to purchase. She was able to quote me the best price and the shortest shipping time! A+ Customer Service through and through!

The dresses are all really gorgeous and high-quality. The workers are super efficient and helpful. They also sell several gorgeous accessories, like hairpieces or tiaras. I highly recommend going here!

Visited this boutique with my sister-in-law who was looking for a gown for a special event. She was visiting from Maryland and needed the gown within 4 days. Barbie's had a very nice selection, a lovely gown was selected, and the alterations were completed in time.

Beautiful dresses. The lady who greated us was not as beautiful. I mean her attitude. I was not upset that it was appointment only. She just could have said that differently. We will not be going back to buy from here. As much money as they charge. You should greet your patrons nicer.

WORST PLACE EVER! They did my invitations wrong nothing like how I wanted them. They also proceeded to charge me more then what they were originally. NEVER COME HERE!

Extremely HORRIBLE customer service. There were 3 people working and neither one of them bothered to check up on us. When we left, we thanked them but since they were too busy having a conversation they completely ignored us! I gave a one star but it should be really a ZERO!

If I could give zero stars I totally would! Don’t get me wrong the quality of the dresses are great, and some even beautiful. The young girl that works as the owners assistant was very, accommodating and sweet. BUT the owner, only cares about one thing and that is MONEY! We were so close to buying my daughter’s quinceañera gown from there. Totally willing to pay the $1,600 amount that she had stated was the asking price, but of course we needed to go about speaking to my husband first. She seemed to have gotten upset stating (in Spanish), “I told before making me take it off the manikin if you for sure wanted it before making me do all this work! ”

Which I did tell her we did, but since we were Spanish, which is ironic considering she is as well. It upset me enough to not come back. How is it that considering it is her businesses she feels it is ok to treat people this way!? She has totally lost soooo much money because where were planning on coming back paying the amount in-full and also planing on ordering ing invitations from her (mind you this is a big event in our cutler so aproxímate amount of invites would have been no less than 300).

As well as ordering the tuxedos for primarily family members as well as cocktails dresses. I do hope she learns from this, but I doubt she will and feel sorry for the families that have to go there and experience this as well. So with that being said, Latinos beware.

I'm giving this place (2) stars only because I found (My) wedding dress and my sister was able to find a dress as well other than that the experience was not ok. Erika the shop owner assumes what alterations need to be done then quotes you and has you pay at the store for it all. When you get your alterations done it turns out to be alot more and then expects "YOU" the customer to pay additional alteration fees that you weren't expecting because she isn't the one doing the alterations. Buyer be ware if you need alterations and buy from this shop just take it somewhere else to avoid all the hassle that this woman could care less about as long as she gets paid. She is deceitful, if it wasn't for the lady that did my alterations my wedding dress would've been ruined!

Excellent and timely service from start to finish! I found a stunning mother of the groom gown online, and called Barbie's Boutique to ask if they could order it for me as I try to support local businesses, and knew I would need a few alterations, as well. Erika was amazing! And so accommodating. She measured me for the dress I wanted and ordered it, which only took a couple of weeks to arrive. Upon arrival I booked an appointment for a fitting, and a week later picked up the beautiful gown. The store also has an incredible in-store stock of many styles for several occasions, and also accessories. OUTSTANDING in every way!
