This is a lesson on how NOT to handle customers, or have employees detrimental to the company. I sent an email with a photo of a newly bought, but defective window crank that I wanted replaced or a refund. I referred to it as the wrong mode number. I get a nasty unsigned email back telling me that's the wrong mode number. Never mind that its a Barton Kramer and defective, its a typo on my end, therefore I'm out of luck I suppose. I call the company, a woman answers the phone, says "that wasn't me who sent the email" and then she abruptly hangs up.
What kind of people work at Barton Kramer?
I'll show Home Depot and Lowes, the nasty email reply, at least I can the satisfaction of their company not being too happy how their customer was treated by a vendor of theirs.

All the screen and Patio and window Hardware you need at a fraction of the cost

Needed several replacement parts for twelve Miami awning windows including window operators, awning screws and bushings, and screen clips of which all are in the Barton Kramer catalogue. Google indicated they may be available through Lowe's, Home Depot and Ace Hardware. While in each store, I inquired and was advised in each instance only one or two of the items were listed for special order but unavailable. Consequently, I phoned Barton Kramer directly to inquire about placing an order and was promptly advised they don't sell to the general public and I would need to contact Lowe's, Home Depot or Ace Hardware. When I communicated the information received from Lowe's, Home Depot and Ace, I was advised she was unable to assist and I should perhaps contact their corporate offices purchasing department.

Amazing Customer Service!

I called because I needed to get keys for a lock they had. They said nope, can't buy from them. So I ordered blank keys from home depot that came from them. Ready for this. Homedepot can't cut their keys.
