Bavaro's Pizza Napoletana & Pastaria, St. Petersburg FL

I celebrated my birthday with friends on 8.7.22 and had an amazing time. We have been going to Bravaro's for years and honestly, the experience is always a 10. The food is always amazing, the service is great and the ambiance is perfect. Highly recommend!

YOU CANNOT MISS THIS EXPERIENCE

We have been to this Bavaro's location multiple times, and really enjoyed ourselves. This last time, I made a reservation for a large party for my partner's birthday. Already telling the person on the phone that I would be bringing a cake.
Sitting down, neither the hostess or the waitress, Emily, bothered to take the cake without me saying something, but that was fine. The whole time, it seemed as though our waitress was in a mood, she wasn't very welcoming, barely came by the table, and just kind of set off a negative tone. The time came for the cake, one of us went and asked her to bring it out, and instead of putting the candles on it and bringing it out, she brings it over in the box, with the container of candles sitting on top, asking if we needed a lighter. This was so upsetting. After being negative the whole time, she just plops my partner's cake on the table and walks away.
The only reason I'm giving this review two stars is because the food never disappoints. But they ruined my partner's birthday dinner with a moody waitress. If gratuity hadn't been included on the check, she wouldn't have gotten anything from me for what she did.
If you're going to be working in customer service, try to treat people like you'd want to be treated. The other times we've been there, the service was decent, but this last time was a huge letdown, and it sucks because we love eating here.

Excellent Service, great place and atmosphere to eat or just sit in the bar and have drinks with Friends. Food was delicious, fresh ingredients and the pizza served hot from the oven. Travis and the servers were very nice to us. Recomended.

Nice place, fast service. The ingredients are definitely good, we really liked the pizza with prosciutto cotto and the margherita one. The pizza diavola had too many peppers. I would only suggest cooking the pizza a little longer.

Every time I eat at Bavaro's it is a wonderful experience. But, today it was exceptional, with the charming Havalynn as our server. Havalynn has a Montanaesque free spirit and a Northern Maine charm that could unite the Hatfields' and McCoy's. She has an inspirational smile that could lift up anyone's day! Oh and the American Pie was loaded with pepperoni to perfection. I wish I could eat at Bavaro's every day.

I see that this place has a lot of high ratings but I will say for the price it is not worth it a 12 inch pizza for $19 is very expensive. The hot honey Garlic Parmesan wings we did not taste any garlic or Parmesan whatsoever and we thought they were kind of rubbery. The oysters were pretty good but they were quite salty. In my opinion I will not be going back sorry!

I'm already a customer and went today for your great pizza. Very disappointed. The pizza dough was not fully cooked in the middle. I paid extra for prosciutto and got 3 very tiny little pieces of it. Not sure what happened today. Just a honest review because I know you can do better.

First time here, everything was great. The meatballs are amazing, they have an interesting flavor I can’t put my finger on and the whipped ricotta was slightly sweet. Very good. I got the margarita pizza as my usual practice for a first time at a pizza place. It was perfect. San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil and olive oil drizzle. It was charred perfectly but not burned. The pizza is definitely in my top 3 favorites. We’ll definitely be back again. My only complaint is the parking but that is the city’s fault so just plan ahead and walk from a nearby lot.

We had dinner at Bavaro’s and it was great! Started with the baratta caprese salad which had a huge piece of cheese on a bed of cherry tomatoes, olive oil and pesto. We got some bread to sop up the oil and pesto too because it was so good. Moved on to a pizza with mushrooms and we added pepperoni to it. The pizza is really fabulous and worth going to Bavaro’s just for that. Service was friendly and excellent. We will be back

Best bartender in town! See Christopher at Bavaro’s In St Pete. He’s attentive, friendly and my glass was never empty. My first time here and I’d totally come back. He offers the best food recommendations! Totally recommend to anyone looking to get out downtown St Pete for good service.

Christopher was our server and boy was he great! Drinks were made to perfection, highly recommend the ricotta meatballs. We also had the tre-carne pizza and it was exquisite along with the italian chopped salad! We ended with the cannoli's for dessert and they were like heaven! Highly recommend Bavaro's St Pete! Go and see Christopher! He was behind the bar when we went!

My husband and I stopped in yesterday for Easter dinner and sat at the bar where Christopher was our bartender, he was very knowledgeable and gave us great drink recommendations along with your Easter stuffed chicken special! Thank you so much! We will be back!:)

Bavaro's has become our favorite Italian restaurant since moving from NY. Pizza is good here, but our favorites on the menu are the ravioli and the penne alla vodka. We each order one and split them, because we can't decide, their both so good. There were no survivors, no doggie bag needed.

Atmosphere is nice, you could come here for a date or something casual with friends.

Heads up, we only saw beer and wine on the menu, but there is a small liquor bar behind the counter as well.

Another great meal in St Pete, at Bavaro's best location, and with the added pleasure of dessert, moving from our outdoor dining table to the bar. This is where we had the good fortune to enjoy Chris' delicious Expresso Martini with their scrumptious Tiramisu and Cannoli. Best I've had out in a long while. Try it, you might like it, that's Italian!

Second time here in a few weeks and we were all very disappointed. We visited 2 years ago and enjoyed a perfect slightly crispy yet soft crusted pizza so we were looking forward to visiting a couple of times while we were in town. Our most recent visit all 3 of our pizzas were soggy, sauce was watery and just a few clumps of cheese. We had the same experience a few weeks ago but thought we just were unlucky but no, this seems to be how they make their pizzas. I understand that their pizzas are Neopolitan in style which is different than what Americans are used to but even so, these were just plain undercooked and spongy and even difficult to eat with a knife and fork. Our last visit the meatballs were good, caesar salad fine and the penne a la vodka very good but this time we only ordered pizzas and a C board, The Charcuterie board ($23) was uninspired, it was as disappointing as the pizzas. Service was fine. Atmosphere was nice. Maybe we were just unlucky twice.

Having a full blooded Italian mother and her parents came from Italy i have a real good understanding about what it takes to make good Italian food and especially pizza.
Bavaro's in St Petersburg is Molto Bene.
This is a must stop for a person who is looking for top notch ingrediants and magnificent taste. Thank you for putting out a wonderful product!

The garlic smell catches you in the street to start. We had reservations and seated within 10mins. It's very cozy inside and delightful Italian aromas filled the air. Our waitress (Tabatha) took our drink order within a couple minutes and the place was packed a line outside Saturday night 7: 00. We had pizzas and pastas (the ravioli alavodka was to die for according to my wife and daughter) around the table with a bottle of wine. The food was absolutely delicious and we loved it. This was our first time visiting Bavaro's and we will be back soon. We have been telling our friends about Bavaro's and how great it was and very affordable. I highly recommend Bavaro's if you are looking for great Italian food and service.

Great food. Service very good and attentive. Only reason not fo five stars, we had reservations for 2. Only other tables were taken (mostly empty) and they sat us right next to another couple about 18 inches away. Just weird to be in wide-open restaurant and being seated almost on top of, the only other 2 top.
