Bay Area Eye Institute reviews
18Excellent place, very professional from the first person who treated you to the last one who is the very professional doctor
I ‘m patient of Dr. Berger for the last 2 months. He’s helping me to restore my vision, I’m doing much better! I’m happy also the staff are very nice. Thank you!
Everyone in BAE seems really friendly. I followed Dr. Gamell from USF and I'm so happy I did! She is awesome!
Bay Area Eye institute was a great experience! Being my 1st time there the staff was very welcoming! Doctor Berger and his staff were very thorough with the exam process. I felt I was given good care! Thank you very much
Doctor and staff are excellent
Doctor Burger is wonderful person and clinical expert in treating corneal diseases
I recommend him strongly
I’m 25 years old and have had glasses since I was 6. In 19 years of seeing various eye doctors, this is hands down the WORST facility I have ever been to. I chose this facility because they appear to have great reviews, yet now seeing all the low ratings, I’m glad i’m not alone. First, my eye exam took 2 hours. I didn’t get dilated and I have no additional issues with my eyes. Just bad vision. The first practitioner did my exam and was widely off from my existing prescription. I tested 20/15 vision with my existing contacts and they insisted on changing my prescription. They used the Phoropter (The huge glasses thing where they go 1 or 2, A or B) and my sight was worse than my eyesight without contacts. Keep in mind I have -5.5 eyesight with astigmatism. After that, they sent me into another waiting room to wait on the doctor. There, I waited an additional 30 minutes to see the doctor where I outright just had to tell them my current prescription. I had to call back and provide my astigmatism prescription and they said they would write the prescription based on my previous lenses. Now, two weeks later, I still have not received a prescription for my contacts and have called 5 times asking for an update. Now, they are saying since allegedly my eye sight has changed, they won’t give me lenses and I need to come in for another appointment when the doctor won’t be in for another 2 weeks. This is the most insane “medical facility” I have ever had the displeasure of working with.
I chose Bay Area Eye Institute because of Dr Berger. The entire staff is excellent and have carefully guided me with my eye care.

.
My mother had an appointment on October 26th, Dr. Berger and his staff were amazing as always. Very professional, friendly and helpful which puts my mother at ease.
I must say when I was diagnosed with an issue with my eyes. I was very scared and nervous. Visiting the bay area I institute and the staff they are really made me feel welcome and calm, and they took really good care of me every visit.
As always, Dr. Berger and his staff were so prompt, courteous, professional and welcoming. Thank you for years of considerate, effective care!
The staff are wonderful as is Dr. Berger. My DMEK procedure was last month and the vision in my eye is 99.9% better. I would recommend this office to others.
Bay Area eye Institute is the Best. The doctor's and staff are awesome and is the best place to have your eye surgery and any other problems taken care of. Thank you Bay Area Eye Institute.
They fixed my eyes! I got surgery here with Dr. Berger and this office is so sweet. I appreciate them helping me feel comfortable during the procedure. Highly recommend. He works with Kerataconus and other conditions. Very knowledgeable amd straight to the point.
The office staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Dr. Berger is very skilled and has a cautious approach.
I made the right choice.
This was my third cataract evaluation in close to four years, and by far the most exhaustive, thorough, and professionally implemented, and in less time than the previous two.
Dr. Berger is a consummate and calm professional, who patiently walked me through the problems and options, while catching THREE other issues that neither Newsome nor St. Luke's caught.
I have complete confidence in Bay Area Eyre Institute, the staff, and Dr. Berger, and will continue to use them for my eye care needs.
They are highly recommended!

Dr. Berger is a perfectionist, which is definitely what you want in an eye Dr. He is very thorough and knowledgeable. His staff is excellent as well. Caring and professional, putting patient's first, just like Dr. Berger.
