I lived there 6 years, until I had enough. If I would give 0 stars I would. The parking is crowded (on tours everyone is at work), work orders will never be filled (various managers over the years NEVER fixed the laundry list of item such as replacement of broken screens in the entire item of living there), and price hikes every 6 months. The neighbors start off quiet but this seems to change as management appears to allow loud obscene music in the parking lot. Upon move out over a month ago there has been no return of deposit and it appear the most recent property manager has blocked me or been removed. It is rare that someone is PHYSICALLY in the office or answers the phone, but they will cash rent (days late but it’ll be less than a month). If you are desperate, this place will do. (Note there is a review from Nick a year ago, the picture shown is in the same building on the same side as my previous unit.)

The pool is nice when open. The other residents are nice.

We rented an apartment for our son at Bay Oaks in March 2022. During his year there, his hot water stop working. He put in a request for repairs and was told a new water heater was necessary and they couldn’t get a new one for many weeks due to supply chain issues, do our son was lived in a unit that he couldn't wash up in hot water or clean dishes. Three weeks later, after multiple follow up request, maintenance took a look and determined it was a fuse issue, and a new water heater was not required. Unacceptable to make a resident live without hot water for three weeks. Management should have resolved the issue immediately! Also, during his move out, we discovered a good amount of mold near the baseboard by his tub. It’s was coming through the paint, so obviously painted over to cover up the issue before move in. In addition, on the ceilings near a/c and heat vents, there was dark soot on the ceilings, so the duct work is obviously very dirt and needs to be cleaned. We knew the unit was very dated and had old appliances, but clean air to breath should be expected regardless. Finally, getting our deposit back was extremely difficult. It took three months and a threat to report Adam LaSalle management to Fl. State Agency before the money was direct deposited in our account. We were told several times there was a “system issue”. I want to add that Hayley, the local property manager, was quick to respond to all our messages and phone calls and she did her best to get the issue resolved. Adam LaSalle seemed to be the issue.
