Baya Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lake City FL

I would give this place zero stars if I could. I worked here for a couple of years PRN as a CNA. Sin e the change in administration and has really gone down hill. The Administrator does not care about the residents as proven in her inadequate staffing and lack of supplies. I still have yet get to paid when I have direct deposit. I have made multiple attempts to contact HR (which is not inhouse). I noticed my paycheck was missing 33 hours so I contacted HR when I did not receive response I went to the administrator - she promised my pay would be on my next check and said there was a glitch in the clock. When my check came around again I was missing hours and still didn't not have my previously worked 33 hours. I continued to work because I lived the residents. But when I went the staff was two short and they tried to have 2 aides running a 60 bed unit. I was not accepting this and put in my notice. I received a nasty text from the administration and and I kindly just asked her to pay me what I am owed for the hours I worked. Baya owes me $1500 dollars and I have been waiting months. Finally I randomly get a response from the scheduler asking me to come up my check. I went to get my "check" and it was a card. I attempted to activate the card and was unable because the company did not enroll this card or create a profile for it. So I have still yet to be paid. This is ridiculous. I feel I have given ample amount of time and I have asked multiple times was is needed from me to get my money so we can end this?

Not to mention all the nursing staff is overworked and underpaid. They are lowest paying facility around. They do not change their cups nightly, they change them weekly. They don't provide proper care because they don't provide proper necessary items to assist in taking care of the residents. This place should be shut down!

The aides were awesome but the nurses were not friendly at all when I went to take my mom home because she was being discharged I stood at the nurses desk I wasn't even sure if they were nurses or aids on nurse looked at me and didn't even ask if I needed help just continued to play on her phone. Never again will I take my mom there. However the PT staff were pretty awesome and answered questions I couldn't get from the nurse if you could even find one

I have never lived there but the sheer fact they are owned by Raydiant healthcare if they are associated with San Jose health and rehabilitation center I think the staff always makes ever nursing home look like rainbows and bunny rabbits half the reviews are put on here by the management untill you get there & wonder is this pergatory? Nursing home horror stories are not fiction don’t fall for the reviews of any place if it sounds too good to be true it usually is a the same ish hole

I have nothing but praise for the staff at Baya Point rehabilitation. My mother received the care she needed, as well as caring attention from everyone she had contact with! Phenomenal people from the time you walk in the door! They truly care about the patients and their wellbeing! They even watched over my dad when he visited my mom every day. All of you are angels on earth…. I don’t want to list names because I’m afraid I’d leave someone out…my family appreciates you beyond words

I have been at Baya Pointe for less than 24 hours, and already I can say the staff and facilities here are GREAT. I was greeted warmly by everyone, and they went out of their way to make sure I knew they were glad to have me here. The facility is clean and updated. The pain and difficulty I'm having posed no obstacles for this team. They handled my needs and made me feel confident and comfortable. I am grateful to be at such a quality facility.
