Therapists and supporting team members are extremely caring and professional. Each member is knowledgeable in their position. From initial evaluation to appointment schedule to physical therapy sessions to check-in at facility, all personnel are personable, professional and pleasant. Therapists are skilled, conscious of client health and record progression throughout appointments, adapting exercise sessions as needed and offering suggestions. Members work as a team which in turn extends to clients. Very appreciative of care provided by BayCare team.

New building, yet if you are late 15 or 20 minutes they will make you wait at least 1 hour and then share they are unable to see you. If you are looking to be accommodated find another Health Care facility that is not so packed in their schedule.

Dealing with Baycare has been exhausting and blood boiling frustrating!
My foster child was seen end of last yr by a dr F and iron lvl was 2 pt low…he asked to redo blood test in a month but he did NOT put that in the file! Dr has been out for DAYS now and I went back & forth with front desk, covering providers & nurse trying to first confirm if Baycare will redo labs or if I need to go to a Lab center!? !? !? They passed me around, and left messages at the most inconvenient times! When they called it was 6: 58pm then they left for the day so when I return the call at 7 they’re gone…Or they call a couple minutes before they go to lunch and again when I return their call of course they’re at lunch!
Today I demanded a confirmation because I found out my foster child had previously been diagnosed w Sickle Cell disease so we need labs asap! Nurse says she submitted the order for labs screening…I specifically ask: if I go in, they’ll take me, I don’t need an appointment? She confirms yes! So I get my kid out of school, get to Baycare, and they told me physician said redo blood work in 6 months not 1, there is no lab order approved, and once again I WASTE MY TIME W BAYCARE! Nurse failed to say dr must approve lab order first (when he gets back), and no one else covering for him can approve it…what blood boiling chain of miscommunication/time wasting/lack of efficiency! On top of that, they said I can’t bring my kids back because they don’t have ALL the vaccines (completely disregarding our concern when telling them my son had a febrile seizure at 8 months after one of his vaccine…so we stopped)! Dr said: “well if you cannot trust us and our medical advice, then we can refuse care just like you refuse vaccines”. NO, I don’t trust you with my kids’ care when you’re pushing something on him that he almost dies from! (was not breathing, eyes rolled backwards, got all blue, stiff & full on seizure). You were certified to listen to patients’ concerns and treat them accordingly not to refuse care!

Had a great experience considering getting blood work is not a pleasant thing. Check in was easy and quick. I didn’t have to wait long. The blood draw was quick and painless. I do not like getting bloodwork and they made it quick and easy!

This hospital has been great every time I've had to have a procedure done. The nurses/staff/doctors are always awesome. My care after my outpatient surgery was professional and caring.

Although it took awhile to get my imaging completed, due to the order was written incorrectly, my technician kept me inform and was apologetic regarding the delay

I got a repeat ultrasound of my abdomen, pelvis, and specifically my surgeon wanted a better look at my appendix because I’ve been having ongoing lower right abdominal pain and they missed it yet again. I understand it can be difficult to view the appendix from what I’ve heard on an ultrasound, but the tech was extremely rude and condescending to my mom and I. I suffer from many chronic illnesses at a young age and deal with a lot doctors, nurses, and techs often and I don’t understand why she was giving us such a hard time. My mom was simply asking to if she was able to view it, as I need a good image of my appendix to rule anything serious out so that I don’t have to get an unnecessary surgery. Since my mom is an echo tech, she questioned if they’d call in another more experienced tech if they’re unable to get a good image, and the lady got offended and attacked us by saying it’s not a techs fault, it’s the patient and it’s the surgeons fault basically for ordering an ultrasound, as it’s not the “gold standard”. She doesn’t know my health history and why my surgeon would order this, so that was uncalled for and I feel like she didn’t like my mom from the start creating an environment I didn’t feel comfortable in. I’m still waiting for results on my STAT ultrasound and if she wasn’t able to image well, I’m going to have to discuss with my surgeon and possibly go somewhere else for another ultrasound yet again because Baycare techs keep missing it and this was just an awful experience. I would contact a patient advocate, but nothing is ever done and it’s a shame because of someone’s incompetence to do their job.

Friendly girl at the front desk and the doctor I saw (Mark?) was also nice and thorough. The specific issue I came in for was not resolved, but I was able to eliminate what I thought might be causing the problem. I did not feel rushed at all and the doctor took time to explain everything, answer all my questions and provide further recommendations if the issue persists.
