BayCare Medical Group Primary Care (New Tampa)

Office staff is incompetent and refuse to take accountability when they mess up. I scheduled an appointment when I got there they told me I needed a new patient appointment I asked why couldn't they see that when they scheduled the appointment, no answer. A new patient appointment was a couple months out so I left the office without making an appointment. Over 2 weeks later I get a call about appointments and the office personnel telling me I had trouble with my insurance and I was late to the appointment as the reasons, I explained to her neither reason was true. She then asked me about scheduling another appointment, again months away. At this point I don't trust them with my care if they can lie so easily.

After 90 minutes waiting to be seen in the exam room I asked when is the doctor going to see me they said next, same answer they kept on giving me for one and a half hour. After that I saw the doctor in the hallway and I told her I have been sitting in the exam room for 90 minutes and why no one can tell me how long do I need to wait she threatened me that she will call the authorities and accused me of shouting at her. I then left and I am filling a complaint against them.
If you really care about your health do NOT go to this location and now I know why this location has very bad ratings.

The doctor was nice enough but was only interested in prescribing medication rather than pushing diet and exercise when my BP was elevated. I begin eating more veggies and fruit. I developed a consistent workout schedule and lost 12 pounds. My BP went back to normal. I now have a PCP who encourages healthy eating and doesn’t go immediately to prescribing a drug which has side effects.

Dr. Eugene-Pratt is incredible. She really took her time to get to know me and we set up a great game plan to keep my health on the right track. It’s hard to find a practitioner who seems to really value your time and your health these days. Cant say enough amazing things about her:)

I consistently ran out of my medication due to this office not following through with messages, communications, phone calls, and portal messages. I would talk to multiple people all saying they would get my prescription filled but never did. Seemed all they ever wanted was for me to keep coming back to the office for more visits instead of just refilling the medication I needed to control my gout. Not a narcotic, no type of pain killer, just simple meds to keep me from having gout attacks. I will never use this office again. I am working 2 full time jobs to make ends meat and all they care about is setting up office visits.

I used the urgent care clinic, I had stitches put in and taken out. I was told that there would be no charge for the follow up visit to get the stitches removed. I was charged anyway. Trying to clear things up with baycare has been a nightmare.

Nothing but positive experiences at the New Tampa location. Staff are helpful and polite. APRN Taylor has a great demeanor and takes the time to listen. Incredibly thorough. Highly recommend.

The staff is very rude and have a bad attitude. They called to confirm my appointment and I told them yes, I am coming and at work. I left work and got there 8 minutes late due to traffic and they said they put me as a no show and would have to reschedule. I am shocked I was turned away after 8 minutes. Usually everywhere gives at least a 15 minutes in case of accidents-traffic
Everytime me and my husband go we are always on time and have to wait for a long time by. The office is unprofessional. The office closed at 5pm and my appointment was supposedly the last appointment at 3: 40pm. I asked if the nurse practitioner was still there to ask her if I could be seen and the staff said we marked you as a no show and they said no she left already and then said yes she was still with another patient. I was going here because it was close to where I live but this will be the last time I go there. Honestly think the staff wanted to leave early and put me as a no show and the nurse practitioner was still with another patient which means she was running late.

Made an appointment at 11: 45 and I didn't get seen until 1: 25. The lady that was upfront was rude, disgusting, and unprofessional. My mother called in to see what the problem was and the lady was abruptly rude to my mother and was raising her tone towards my mother and hung up on her mid conversation on purpose. I suggest this is the last place you make an appointment. Everyone else was nice but the lady upfront. She should be working somewhere else because she doesn't know any type of customer service.

Doctors are not good. Scheduling an appointment is also difficult task. Most of the time doctors not available.

Just started coming to this clinic and o couldn't be happier with my doctor. Dr Kannya is awesome attentive and very professional. What a difference from the last doctor at New tampa medical.

I had to get a physician screening form signed for work. Even though I had visited the facility only once for annual screening, like 6 months back, the front office and Dr. Sanjay were prompt in responding to my request and I got the form signed from the Doctor the very next day and they even faxed it to my company's medical provider. They did not charge me for this service.
