Bayfront Marin House, St. Augustine FL

Disappointing! We booked the Lookout Suite for 3 days over Christmas at a cost of $1432.87. For this price we expected clean comfortable surroundings. The first impression when we arrived at the balcony was one of neglect and dirt. The glass doors and one window had condensation and dirt between the panes so that the beautiful sea view was obscured once you were inside. Unfortunately there was evidence of neglect and dirt inside also. The microwave and mini refrigerator are in the walk in closet which had a filthy carpet. Part of shelving in the closet had collapsed. The refrigerator seal was damaged and the icebox was iced over. It contained leftover food. The shower did not drain properly and the bathtub surround had chipped tile. Overall the room had a dingy and uncared for look. I emailed my comments to the owners and they gave me an apology and many explanations: traffic, supply chain, weather etc.and offered a coupon for $300 to stay with them again 'to give them another chance. ' We declined since this was an experience we did not want to repeat. The photos on the website are deceptive and do not match ours. I now see that there was a review posted 6 months ago which pointed to many defects and an appearance of neglect so despite the assurances from the owners that they take these seriously and will remedy them, I am skeptical. For what we paid, you could do a lot better elsewhere.

We stayed in one of the cottages #91 at Velano Beach for 2 nights. On the beach. Sunrise is just amazing and the night sky is mesmerizing Tasteful decoration, supercomfortable king bed, large bedroom and a mini fridge and microwave. Breakfast can be delivered to the cottage per request or you can go to the main building in St. Augustine. We will sure come back.

I was Married in The Sanchez House built in 1790 which is on the Property there it’s own garden and secluded 2 story house which is like a Castle inside! December 13th which was a magical event and cobblestone streets behind the house for pictures. They took care of everything the officiant and cake and catered the taco bar. Unfortunately I have to say this time around our stay wasn’t that great! We stayed at one of the cottages, the bed was horrible for both of us, woke up in tremendous pain all over, for the price of this cottage this should of been better, Good wasn’t great either. The room was nice the view was beautiful but that’s it. Usually when we stay at a bed and breakfast we are given bath robes, and complimentary wine. I just feel for how much we paid it was not worth it.

My husband and I were looking forward to our weekend getaway and staying in one of the Cottages. We had received a text during our drive up to St. Augustine asking if we wanted a charcuterie board delivered to our cottage. We thought, 'wow.this is such a special touch'! Upon arrival, we had to call the main number for directions to our cottage. We quickly learned that our cottage was no where near the downtown, historic area. When we finally found our cottage and walked in, we were instantly disappointed! The entire 'cottage' was a bed - looked smaller than a queen, a very small bathroom (absolutely no counter space), 2 small chairs and a mini-fridge. But the absolute worst thing was the smell! It was so musty and smelled like mildew that we knew that if we stayed here, one or both of us would be sick! We opened doors and windows hoping that would help, but to no avail. I then realized that our charcuterie board had not been delivered. I called the main # to inquire only to find out that it was, and I emphasize, was, ready for us to pick up at the main hotel which was what seemed like 5 miles away.but that 'happy hour' was over and it was no longer available. This 'cottage' was so far away from any amenity or restaurant that we had to get back in the car to find something to eat. Upon return to the cottage, the smell had not improved and it was then that we decided to find someplace else to stay. When I communicated our disappointment and that we were leaving to go another hotel, the owner texted me back that she could be there in 15 minutes to show us the 'other' cottage available. As politely as I could, we declined. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone! Here's the kicker of the whole fiasco, we were NEVER offered, get ready.for our $900 back for our 2 night stay! Complete crooks that don't care about their customers!

Horrible horrible experience in every way! Our massages got moved without notice, no champagne until i mentioned it (they said they forgot), used shampoo for the showers, left over ice from the previous customers in freezer, beds were hard a as a rock, toilet ran all night and couldnt go to other room because the street lights shined in our eyes, couldnt close blinds enough, disgusting balcony with view of dead trees, out side bottom floor patio just as gross with dying plants rusted, moldy furniture and our "deluxe " breakfast that came along with our 350 upgrade to romance package never arrived. Such a disappointment and it was our 10 year wedding anniversary Not" romantic" at all!

My wife and I got married here and absolutely loved everything about the wedding package and our stay in general. The ceremony was short and sweet, but still felt so special. Bayfront Marin really took care of us and made it feel as best as possible. Our rooms were great, and we missed being here shortly after leaving. Thank you, Bayfront Marin! We will definitely be back in the future.

We had a wonderful week at this B&B! Breakfast in the gazebo each morning, delicious offerings! Happy hour each afternoon. Walking distance to so much of what we wanted to see and do. Comfortable and nicely appointed. Would definitely go back!

First time guests, and we were truly delighted with our stay. The staff was very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and the location was perfect!

My husband and I went to celebrate our 8th Anniversary at the Bayfront Marin Inn inside of St. Augustine, and it was everything we could have hoped for! The private front porch attached to our room was so nice for waking up and viewing the sunshine over the river, and we enjoyed our coffee w/ hot breakfast which was brought to our room each day before we began our adventures! They kept everything spotless for us and were so kind and easy to work with! Will definitely be back:)

Absolutely perfect location! We stayed in the Lindsey Michelle room this visit and it is gorgeous! We also visited a year ago. The hotel has an amazing location and the rooms are clean and spacious. The view from the front is just spectacular! The “ snacks” and drinks as well as the breakfast never disappoint! Always delicious! And the white sangria is truly refreshing. My only bad comment would be on the inns TV service- it runs on hotel WiFi and it’s truly not sufficient to watch any show without multiple freezes

The beach comber "Royal Palm" rental was very clean, spacious, and literally on the beach so views were amazing. Not far from Historic downtown St Augustine so plenty of things to do. It was a great getaway for my husband and me as we celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary. I will definitely stay here again!

Fabolous stay! The staff was wonderful and very helpful! We really enjoyed having our breakfast delivered to our room and eating it on the balcony with the view of the beautiful water.

We stayed here on a mini honeymoon after our wedding. The room was nice and the location and views were perfect. The only complaints that we had were the parking situation was inconvenient and the food for us was subpar. Our second morning we were served what we assume were microwave bacon and powdered eggs. Everything was pretty tasteless and seemed low quality. We still enjoyed our time but for a bed and breakfast, the breakfast was lacking.

PERFECT! That is the best way to describe our stay in our cottage on the beach! They went above and beyond with customer service, the breakfast that was delivered each morning was great! Housekeeping, helpfulness in finding places to eat, happy hour at the main house, etc.everything was just perfect! We cannot wait to return!

Was traveling by boat and appreciated the dock for ease of loading luggage. Very professionally managed. Interesting, well considered furniture. Spacious gathering area. One of the very best B&Bs I've stayed in. Highly recommend.

We had a two-day stay here at the end of the summer and it was FANTASTIC! The location on the beach could not be beat - communication with the staff before and during our stay was wonderful, as were the breakfasts delivered to our door. Afternoon's on the deck looking out the ocean were icing on the cake! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Great Location. Friendly staff. Bed could have been more comfortable. Loved the delivery of breakfast and happy hour each day. I loved the “text” messages - great way to communicate. Would recommend family/friends who are passing through St. Augustine.

What a fantastic, beautiful, romantic inn! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a special place to stay in St. Augustine. The service is fabulous, the rooms are gorgeous, and you cannot beat that beautiful view! Plus it's easy walking distance to everything but in a quiet area. Perfection!
