Beacon South Beach Hotel, Miami Beach FL

The location was perfect. Great service and very attentive staff. Loved the decor. We had a front ocean view, it was a lovely and unique experience. Our room was hot, AC was not strong enough, ceiling fan did the job. The bathroom needs to be updated, bed and pillows were ok, coffee maker was too complicated. There were 2 beach chairs and beach towels available, room service came and exchanged.
Unfortunately the elevator was out of service so being on the 4th floor was not pleasant but not too bad (I was given the option to cancel at check-in but I was already there). Continental breakfast was ok, not a lot of options just a basic breakfast. There is a valet at the street corner, it was $45 a day, you can be in and out as you pleased. I think it was a great deal. Our stay was ok. The atmosphere was great.

We had an amazing stay at Beacon! The staff were all very nice and helpful and the location was perfect. The restaurant downstairs was also amazing. Would definitely stay here again!

Right across from the beach, cute little rooms. The free breakfast becomes a nuisance eating the same thing everyday when I stayed the week. No real choices, no dietary exceptions. But the service was great.didnt get any good pics

Stayed here on a vacation with my wife, there was a screw up with our booking but the hotel management sorted it out and made sure we were in the correct room we booked. Had a great time here. Room was clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. Food at motel was good excellent. Would stay again.

In March 2023, I booked this hotel through Travelzoo for a two night stay in mid-May. Towards the end of April, I changed my mind and cancelled within the cancellation policy timeframe. Either this hotel or Travelzoo are refusing to credit my deposit. They are being dishonest and claiming to have issued refunds in the wrong amounts, but in reality, no credits have been issued. When I provided the right amount that should be refunded, suddenly that's the amount that was credited.

It is obvious one of these parties is refusing to honor the cancellation policy which is a good indicator of how they treat their customers.

If, for any reason you feel your plans may change and a cancellation will be required, I'd not book with this hotel either directly or through a third party. They are incapable of being truthful.

Keep this in mind and be aware.

Great Location, In the middle of the city with plenty of restraints food, drinks and the beach being right across the street. Parking is a mess as to be expected in this area so parking in the garage is best then it's a short walk. Hotel staff are great and very friendly. Rooms are clean, on the smaller side though how much time are you spending in the room.overall great experience other then parking.

Hotel is located at a really good spot to enjoy Miami Beach, people are receptive thanks ;). The rooms and furniture are old. Breakfast with bread, waffle, eggs and sausage, orange juice, only. The restaurant serve a really good food, it's really nice to sit and enjoy Miami vibe.

I came with friends for a few drinks, we got super nice food and our server Cande, made us have an amazing dinner, she recommended us good dishes and super tasty drinks. Look for her when you come!

Everyone was so lovely here. Wonderful check-in! Very accommodating with all my questions. Love the location and how the hotel is decorated. Nice costumer service. Breakfast leaves something to be desired, but part of the package and free! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

OMG! We stop here before our cruise when I say the staff is FANTASTIC! I mean it.the food is good! The location is everything right in the heart things and you can't here no lime life while in your room. I will be coming back to stay for my next trip here. KEEP UP THE GREAT JOBS!

We stayed here the night before our cruise. The staff was phenomenal all the way from calling to book my rooms to check out. Marisa at the front desk was very kind and helpful. The bar service is nice and there are plenty of places to sit and have a drink before the night starts. The rooms are bright and welcoming. Just across the street there are volleyball courts and the beach. The hotel supplies beach towels and will loan chairs if needed. 10/10 would recommend staying here and I will stay again next time I’m in south beach.

Perfect location, if you want everything that is Miami stay here! The grounds are so well kept, the room and view were amazing. From check-in to check-out we felt like family and we were well taken care of. My husband and I only stayed one night because we had a cruise the next day but this was an incredible start to our vacation and we will most definitely be back. Checking in was smooth, we freshened up from our flight and went to Mango's for dinner/drinks, and a few more stops before we came back to the hotel to enjoy a mojito at the hotel bar. Our bartender JB was a really cool guy, I wish I could remember everyone else's names but they were awesome too! We slept really good with the ceiling fan and comfy beds. The free breakfast was the only thing that was maybe 3/10 - but it did the job to hold us over until we got on our ship. There is a CVS next door that is 24/7, everything is also walking distance. If you want the Miami experience - stay here, if you are use to bougie and brand new - this is not for you. My husband and I like experiences, culture, history, and good customer care, that's exactly what we got at Beacon Hotel. Thank you so much for an amazing night in Miami!

Nice waitress, we ate when we arrived in Miami. It was good, but does not justify the final rating. Tomorrow we will do better.

Great views, great staff, and great location. But I should have trusted the other reviews. Sadly, the reviews were spot on and not just typical south beach things.

First, they have speakers that have so much base that it shakes the hotel. We were on the top floor and even then it was too much. The empty restaurant downstairs had a different loud speaker system to use but they chose this one.
Second, the bed was so loud. If you roll over you no doubt will wake up because of the squeak.
Third, the walls are so thin so if the music or bed didn’t keep you awake, then the sound of your floor neighbors coming home and talking to someone on the phone for hours will.

Location is good and the staff is nice, other than that the hotel is terrible. We didn’t sleep any of the three nights we were here, 2 because they play loud-base driven music at the hotel restaurant until 3 am without regard to the hotel customers. They have a day-time speaker system they can use but they choose to us a base heavy speaker at night when guests are trying to sleep, even when the restaurant is close to empty. 1 night we were kept awake because the walls are extremely thin and you can hear your neighbors who get home late. As a kicker the bed is extremely loud so you will be sure to wake yourself up all night.

I liked the location it's just across the beach wht I didn't like was the rooms to small we were 4 barely fit there bt other than tht everything was good

Great Hotel and the location was on point, rooms were small but cute. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the water took a long time to get hot but it did eventually. That's my only complaint but the staff was friendly, location is in the heart of Miami. The Beach is just steps from the door. I would definitely come again.the pics were from the view of my window. I had the Oceanfront room.
