Japanese Restaurant Benihana reviews
25Came on a Monday night. Was told a 45min wait. Ended up waiting 1.5hrs to be seated and had to ask multiple times to remind the hostess that we existed. Server and chef were really nice and the only reason why I’m giving this place 2 stars. Super understaffed so the server couldn’t help all 20 tables at once. Honestly I think this just fails on poor management. Food was nothing special. Way overpriced and they give you huge portions of veggies and very little protein. Definitely would avoid this place. Average entree price is around $35 and they won’t mention that any costly upgrades like getting noodles (+$5) until the check comes.
Food always awesome
Place was packed at 5pm
They need to add more parking
You will get a ticket or towed if you park at any adjoining lots
Would be nice if Benihanna management would negotiate a deal with the other businesses that are closed in the evenings to allow for additional parking
I used to come to this place 10 years ago and it was the most amazing experience I could have at a restaurant. Now? Not so much get ready for wasted reservations because it really doesn’t matter, waiting 40 min after my reservation time while you look at five or six tables readily available to be turned over yet nobody is turning them over but there’s five hostesses sitting at the front table talking while a manager with braids on his forehead walks behind them hugging each one of them, very unprofessional, they’re very rude they don’t care about your time, I would not recommend this place any longer Benihana has fallen off
Made a 3: 45 reservation & 20min later there were more than 5 tables available & not one person cleaning them. I ask when we will be seated & they said they were still cleaning tables (which we didn't see happening). Also I thought it was very unprofessional of the male stuard at the front with the 2 beads in the front of his hair constantly hugging the female staff. Needless to say we left. Horrible customer service, we won't be back.
This was one of the worse experiences and it was my birthday! We made a reservation and it didn’t matter because we been here for 2 hours! The service is terrible and the manager didn’t really help! They offered us no compensation for all the issues and our waitress was useless and kept
disappearing! Never Again! Benihana has fallen off!
We celebrated Hubby bday they made it interactive and fun the cooking show was great the food was fresh cooked to perfection nicely seasoned. Once it hit ur plate u just dig in! We loved it got to see if one is in Baltimore now.
Stopped in for lunch with my wife. I was surprised that the lunch portions were not much smaller than the dinner portions. The showman ship of the Hibatchi chef was entertaining and the food was very well seasoned and cooked how we ordered it.
This food is wayyy better than the other location in Orlando. AJaas my server and he was the besttttt.before I could ask for anything he was already doing it.even I’m writing a review he brought me a bag for my to go food. BEST SERVER EVERRRR
Food was delicious, great atmosphere, friendly staff. - only downside was the hibachi show didn't have the rice ball toss, egg toss, etc/not a very interactive chef and had to wait for 20+ mins even with a reservation.
Not as good as it used to be. The cook was not as engaging as they have been in the past. And the prices have increased since the first time I visited.
We ate here because it was walking distance from our hotel. Not the best decision we made for food choice. Food was not great… had to wait to get an open seat in the bar area because we didn’t want to sit in a hibachi table. However, our waitress was great and attentive!
The restaurant floor was dirty and the booth we sat at. It seems as they were understaffed or no one wanted to clean.
Exceptional service. Amazing food (yum!). Kids loooooooved it! Try the mango smoothie drink! Highly recommend
The service was nice, except when it came to the end and paying the bill. There was no one to be seen
Awesome. I have never been dissatisfied coming here. The food is always fresh and delicious. Always a 5 star!
Surprising wife to dinner at this location because she’d never been. Made reservations ahead of time only to be required to wait upon arrival. After waiting 15 min I asked how much longer and was told that they wouldn’t know it it would be 30 minutes or more but mostly not an hour wait. REALLY? What’s the point of scheduling reservations? The manager came by and stated that the chefs were behind. Oh well. Horrible first experience is all I can say. Wife decided to head over to Bahama Breeze instead.
First time at Benihana but have been to a few teppanyaki restaurants before. We’ve ordered the steak and seafood option (samurai treat and land n sea) Beef was cooked to perfection but scallops and shrimp was way too over cooked. (Only 2 minutes cooking time per side for scallops and 3-4 minutes cooking time per side for colossal shrimp is needed) Great experience for the family. Beer, wine, sake and cocktails available. Wheelchair accessible
Everything was delicious and service was great. We came here just for a light dinner and the wait for an hibachi table we were told was going to be between 30 to 1.5 hours. We decided to seat in a regular table since they have some food just not cooked in front of you. It worked out as we just order soups, fried rice, sashimi and sushi plus dessert banana tempura. Karla was great very attentive. We will definitely be back.
Awesome experience today I celebrated my 40th Birthday at this location and it was GREAT! Everyone was wonderful especially the we met at our table, great food, people, and atmosphere. The only disadvantage was I wasn't able to use my Birthday Certificate!
It was good.
Other Benihana chains I've been to we're more energetic.
Drinks are at a premium.
$25 for a beer and wine.
A staple in Orlando! Great for groups up to 10, I recommend going before 10, service is far better, food was spot on, from steak to shrimp all on the cooktop with great entertainment!
