Ben's Soft Pretzels reviews
16Fun and delicious place. My daughter and I shared the pepperoni and cheese pretzel with nacho cheese sauce. It was delicious! Soft on the inside with a little crunch on the outside. They have a cute courtyard in the back where you can sit to enjoy your pretzel.
Perfectly baked, great service. (Even though they were slammed, they were very friendly and were turning out pretzels as fast as possible). Pretzels were super soft and delicious. I'm more than an hour away from the nearest location, too bad they're not closer.
Delicious pretzels and bites! Great spot to sit out back. Guy with the sleeve tattoo on one of his arms was super friendly and polite!
My family and I came here during our mini vacation to St. Augustine and decided to try this place because it smelt soooo good. While the pretzels we ordered were delicious, two pepperonis and cheddars, instead of waiting the basic 10-15 minutes, we waited for atleast 45 minutes before we received BOTH of our pretzels. Not only did they forget our order but when they remembered, they gave our order away to someone else. After receiving one of our pretzels, we had to remind them that we ordered a second one. We finally got both after waiting for a very long time. Again, the pretzels were delicious but the service was definitely lacking. Most likely will not come back because of a bad first experience.
When we walked in we expected good pretzels, instead we got soggy, cold pretzels. Not only were the pretzels bad the fountain drinks were also watered down. While that might of been a one time thing, our pretzels were very disappointing and we ended up throwing them all out. They took salted pretzels and just added the tiniest bit of cinnamon to them. So instead of the cinnamon pretzel I asked for I just got the mediocre cold stuff.
My husband and I went here one morning and got the pretzel bites. They were awesome! Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. However, the girl working the register was not very friendly. I wouldn't say she was rude, but she was definitely not personable enough to be working in customer service.kind of an "I don't care" attitude. I enjoyed the pretzels so much, I didn't really think twice about the service. However, my husband and I went back the next day around 10: 40 AM to try some more things. When we got there, the door was closed (even though they were supposed to be open at 10 AM). I saw the girl who worked there (the same one as before) and I asked if they were open, and she said "no, we are not open yet. " I said, "okay, do you open at 11? " The response was "somewhere around there". Uhhh. Okay. Aren't you a business? Don't you advertise an opening time for a reason? If the employee would have given an explanation of why there were not open 40 minutes past opening time, I would have totally understood. But NOPE.just "yea.somewhere around there. " But that's fine. I'll just take my business "somewhere around there" other than the pretzel place. Great pretzels ruined by the service.
Soft and fresh delicious pretzels. Beer cheese dipping sauce is amazing. Love love love this place.
The original pretzel was great. Way better than the Mickey/mall pretzels and better than the pretzels at the Germany pavilion in Epcot.
I am not a pretzel fiend but this place was by far the best pretzel I have ever had. Got the jumbo and the Italian. Definitely will be back.
The worst pretzels we've ever had!
They don't taste like pretzels, they tasted like dough. Will never go back and wasted
$16. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
Yummy! The bacon and Cheddar pretzel was simply devine and having the garlic dipping sauce made it even more delicious! Excellent value for money, especially around downtown St. Augustine. Loved the little courtyard to sit and enjoy your pretzel. You guys should consider opening a branch in London, you'd make a fortune!
Visited this spot and had the pretzel bites with cheese and marinara dipping sauces. Everything was delicious.for a pretzel!
Best pretzel, hands down, I've had in a long time.this from a guy who loves hot, soft great pretzels! Mine was just out of the oven and hot and I got to pick the one I wanted, too. Fair price at $5 considering you get microwaved ones at other nearby locations for $2-3 more. Took our pretzel to Augie's to enjoy with several short pours of local beers, absolutely excellent!
Pretzels were delicious and we loved the garden area to sit down and eat our pretzel in the back.
They look great from top & the bottom is completely burnt. If you show them how burnt they are on the bottom, the staff says that's how they come out. None of their photos reveal how blackened they will be & they taste burnt as a well.
$7 waste
