I am not, have not, nor would I ever be a client of hers. I simply scheduled a consultation with her which was enough for me to write a review warning others to use their discernment while vetting this law firm. As a man we get used to being pushed around in the courts when it gets into child custody battles. Had to fire my previous attorney after dragging out my case for over two years of court and of course attorney fees. One thing after another over and over. As a desperate father of two and many late night prayers I searched and searched endless reviews when fate kept bringing me back to Vera's web page. After her Free Consultation and constant correction I knew I had to hire her! I hired her on the spot. Little did I know, that was the beginning of the end of a long drawn out divorce custody battle that started with another attorney. What my previous attorney couldn't do in this two year process Vera did in month! Yes, one month! I finally got full custody of my two children and moved them to another town where I live. Yes, it was finally me, the man that had the upper hand and was not going to pushed around anymore by and unfit mother trying to take my children along with everything I had and worked hard for. I vouch and Strongly Recommend Vera Bergermann and her Amazing Team that was very efficient and professional. Thank-you again Mrs. Vera as I feel much obliged to give you a great review!

Vera is a knowledgeable attorney in a glance when speaking of legal terms and professional etiquette with other counsel, judges, etc. She knows the environment and she makes it her play ground. She knows the pros and cons and because of her years of experience she is familiar with nearly all legal professionals in the area which could be an advantage when defending some cases. However, if you can not AFFORD Vera I would recommend not even bothering entering her office. She charges you for every minute you sit down with her and she is not cheap. Yes, you get what you pay for but in my particular case although we ended up content with our result or final agreement we do believe she was not as willing to help when she found out we would not be retaining her fully so she offered to do a limited appearance in our magistrate case and charged us for each service provided rather than make us one of her clients, which again is understandable. She is very forward, straight to the point type of attorney. She does not want the explanations of events rather the facts and the solution you want, she told my wife to shut up mid conversation during her first consultation and many times after. Do not take it personally, in the end you will see she is looking for your best interest and although many lawyers want to hear your sob stories she does not, she is here to defend you whether you or wrong or right in the matter she is there to make sure you walk out with the best outcome possible. Limit all emotions. Since we were on a limited budget due to COVID crisis and etc.we were able to retain her for a particular trial date in which she did show up and did represent accordingly. However, she will not do the leg work for you if you are not retaining her fully. In our case we ran around like chickens with our heads cut off requesting medical records, printing pictures as evidence, keeping record of meet up dates etc. I am looking to study law so i knew the basics (thank god). We even got a second opinion before our trial date because my wife got offended that Vera told her we didn't have time to upload evidence or supporting documents, provide witnesses etc.because we had waited to long to do so and she chewed us out for it. We were going into trial with nothing except her argument. However my wife and I ended up meeting the other party half way in an agreement without counsel, and when we showed up to trial we basically made it super easy for her all she had to do was present the information. Overall not a bad experience, just a lot of tough love and reality checks!
