Can't say enough great things about Best French Tutor! For whatever reason, no matter how hard I've tried, I've never been able to learn another language. I'd be lying if I said that I was even close to fluent in French right now (not even so sure a French speaker could understand my butchered pronunciations at this point), but that is certainly not the fault of anyone but me! My schedule made it difficult to stay consistent with my lessons, but when I did make my lessons a priority, the amount of French I was able to speak and understand was truly astounding! Again, I had tried EVERYTHING to learn in the past and nothing else has even come close to the positive results I was seeing when I was working diligently with Best French Tutor. Not only did their learning process make easy to absorb the language, my tutor, Carole, was absolutely amazing. Valerie is the best! My French has improved greatly over the past few months that I have been working with her. Not only does she take the time to explain concepts to you but most importantly you can tell she genuinely cares about her students and their progress. As her name implies, Valerie IS the best French tutor. We’ve been working together for several months and I’m looking forward to many more. Within one brief session she was able to precisely identify my knowledge gaps (I grew up speaking French but have never studied it, so my grammar is patchy) and design lesson plans tailored to my needs. The readings and exercises discuss genuinely interesting topics, so you practice discussing actual, real-world issues. Finally, I love that she organizes get togethers for students in the area, creating a wonderful community of Francophones and francophiles alike!

I have had many French teachers throughout my life and Valérie is truly the most patient, most generous and most present teacher I have had to date. She is passionate about her craft, loves her students and is fully bilingual and bicultural. Her method of teaching french is simple.effective and so much fun!
