BEST WESTERN Mulberry Hotel

The Room size was great but it was awful it smelled like mold and mildew was coming from the bathroom. It had poor ventilation in the room. I had to buy stuff to clean to make the room smell good it looked like they didn't clean the bathroom, towels smelled moldy. Had to buy a towel, lysol and febrezz. Breakfast was okay nothing special and nothing was working vending machine for snacks. Their was also renovation in the process dust was everywhere in the hallway. They had a nice pool, bring your own towel they also had a gym didn't bother. The staff was okay could do better. The location was so secluded and the price they charge for a day is outrageous. The cab ride was Expensive to the hotel. I won't be coming back to this location EVER.

When i moved the bed bbn over it was discusting in its the fourth time goin there an it was like that in all of them

Poor room maintenance - door left open - NO breakfast ability to enjoy and NO RATE REDUCTION due to same.

Used to be so much better before COVID 19. Really had to alter some of their best amenities. Rooms are still great. Thanks.

Dirty hotel.they are updating but there's no excuse for dirty stained carpets. Floors were not properly vacuumed. It's a poor excuse for a Best Western.more like the Bates Motel. Staff were nice.management did not care! A lot of money for a poor hotel.there are lots of better options!

We stayed here 1 night because we were going to the Plant City Strawberry Festival for an evening performance. It was only a few miles from the venue and easy to get to. Would recommend this hotel.

The staff has been friendly. The rooms are clean. The beds are comfortable and I wish could have taken the pillows home. I had trouble getting online. The staff was very helpful.
They have breakfast and a swimming pool but we didn't need either.
There is a musty smell in the hallway.

We loved it! The room was very nice and the hot tub was fabulous! Everyone on the staff so nice and helpful! We will definitely be back!

This is the place to stay if you are near or in Mulberry. CLEAN rooms, very FRIENDLY staff and the breakfast was EXCELLENT. I'll stay here again on my next visit.

Horrible place. Me and my wife arrived late at the hotel after a long flight. We simply just wanted to go straight to bed since we had a long day waiting for us the next day visiting a loved one in a hospital. The entire night the ac unit rattled loudly making it hard to fall asleep. The second night we arrived by 8 pm at the hotel and found what seemed like dried blood stains on the carpet. The toilet was clogged but we never knew since we had left early that morning to the hospital. When we called the front desk they offered a toilet plunger so we could unclog it ourselves. We reported the blood stains as well and the front lady named Suzie offered no resolution. We then spoke with the assist. Manager named Michelle and when we asked if could transfer to another room she refused. They offered no resolution or responsibility. We decided to check out at 9pm and we were billed for 2 nights although we only stayed the first night. Absolutely terrible experience at this place, staff doesn't seemed trained to deal with any tough situations or simply dont care. They offered no resolution and no apology. Avoid this place an any cost. Drive to Lakeland and get a much better place.

It was absolutely terrible. The bed sheets had mold and the room was very muggy even with the AC on. When I brought it to the attention of the front desk I was given no option to switch my room and I was given a deal with it attitude. When I spoke with the manager Michelle, she was very rude and pretty much called me a liar. She is a sorry excuse for a manager and has absolutely no customer service skills. I don’t normally write reviews but based on this experience I felt it necessary to utilize this platform since trying to work with the employees of Best Western got me nowhere.

Maybe after you tell me that you take CLC you should tell me that I need to put a dollar deposit down before I drive over half an hour in a truck that gets 5 miles per gallon.you've got a card, why do I need to put down another deposit on top of it

A very quiet clean place. They were very hospitable. No issues w/reservation. Thanks to everyone in the staff. Michelle, Samantha, Suzie & the all the HOUSEKEEPERS who were friendly & were sure that the rooms were clean. Like to thank Patience & the other cook for they did a very good job w/breakfast as well as keeping the place clean. Want to thank them all for their kindness & their services. If you want a place that's quiet & clean this is the place to go to w/no hesitation.

Stayed here for almost 2 months for work. Was paying with a company credit card so the room was not in my name but the points was going to be put on my account. When my stay was up I was offered half of the points instead of all of them. Going back on the agreement that was made no thank you. I will be taking my business to a whole different hotel chain. I nor my crew will never stay in a best western again!

30 minutes from Legoland. Hotel appeared to be in a safe area. Was not aware of a $100 hold for debit card users upon check-in. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Very rude red-headed female working the breakfast area. Appeared to be the Breakfast Gestapo. Breakfast was good. However, the Gestapo made you feel very uncomfortable was not very friendly. This hotel also does not allow guests to bring food items back to their room. So no breakfast in bed for the spouse.

The room was so hot for three hours that we were sweating bullets and that's not an exaggeration. This is after we switched rooms because the bed had yellow stains all over it.

The wifi wouldn't work for more than 5 minutes at a time.

The woman at front didnt seam to care that the America flag out front was upside down or that the Florida state flag was tattered and faded, Mentioned it to another employee the next day and it was taken down a few hours later.

Breakfast was terrible.
Bathroom vent was putting out piping hot air from the roof that smelled like charred tar.

I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Affordable, clean, comfortable beds and decent breakfast. Will definitely stay again if needed. Staff friendly. Pool wasn’t available only reason for 4 stars.

I am moving to FL from NJ with my bf so we’re just passing through and needed a clean place with reasonable pricing and no roaches for the next few days. I ALWAYS read reviews before deciding to stay anywhere. Since I didn’t see any bad reviews, I figured I’d save the next potential victims. This is our first night and first of all, the surrounding area is a ghost town. It’s VERY shady! I’m so happy my bf insisted on buying a padlock for the moving truck this morning! We are literally the ONLY guests staying at this hotel. The only other vehicle in the parking lot belongs to the front desk clerk, which in my opinion, I don’t think they should have a woman here alone on duty considering the look of this place! The only reason I gave this place a second star was because she (Samantha) was very hospitable, friendly, and helpful. Also. I’ve seen one tiny bug, but no roaches or anything else. YET. By the look of the place, I keep expecting one to pop out. As soon as we entered our room, we were hit in the face with heat, humidity, and a musky smell. The AC was not running. You can tell they try to keep costs at the bare minimum. Everything appears to be clean even though the bathtub has black mold in the creases and the toilet paper on the roll was wet when we first got in o. O.weird. We went out to the truck to get food we had in there and I jokingly suggested to my bf we go out the back way in case we need to learn how to make a quick escape in case of dangerous intruders, and the BACK DOOR DOESNT LOCK. That’s all for now. I look forward to the breakfast spread all to ourselves. I can’t believe they tried to quote me over $90/night for this place before taxes and fees. I wish I didn’t book all the way to Thursday (3 nights) through expedia.
