Best Western Plus Atlantic Beach Resort, Miami Beach FL

Excellent hotel. The service of the staff is very good. The only thing is that in a place like Miami, with constant heat, the pool and its bar could have more hours. No doubt he has a reason, but I think that at 9pm, in this heat, he would bill a lot.

Mold was on vents, there was water droplets coming from vent. Room was musty and not clean. I am asthmatic and felt ill within 3 mins of being in room. Let front desk know and they paged maintenance no concern what so ever.

This is the second time I am writing this. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL. While location was good, the staff was horrible and the service was very unprofessional. The billing was inaccurate. The Housekeeping staff either stole or accidentally threw away some personal property, which caused great inconvenience to us on our trip. No apology or compensation was offered, nor any attempt whatsoever to locate the property. Lyne the supervisor was particularly egregious. Watch your belongings like a hawk. I have seen other reviews here complaining of stolen or missing property. STAY AWAY.

Whatever we paid was too much. The ac stops cooling in the middle of the night, every night, works fine during the day tho. Great location, the actual hotel is a dump. I see a bunch of positive reviews, don't let them fool you, those are paid for.

I have been waiting for my security deposit for 2 weeks! Unexceptable! I literally can’t get through to noone on the phone, one lady answered but then hung up on me. Very disappointed in customer service front desk! Do better! I will be explaining all of this to the ceo of best western

Really small pool, never enough chairs - beach. Beach access staff was lazy had to ask for water and set up could have been better. Staff was very loud in the morning every day while trying to sleep talking and yelling to each other. Loud fans and cleaning machine in my hall every day. Pool table missing balls- coffee bar only
Open sometimes not even the hours listed. Asked for upgrade - no follow up and obviously the rooms were empty. No offer for airport transport

Hotel is good, we didn't get room service tho (only one time) and even after telling the front desk it didn't change.

Location is very good, on the other side on the street is a CVS and one block further away is a bus station. 1min walk to the sea, very nice and enjoyable. Take care, there are jellyfish in the water.

A spanish speaking family moved in next to my room and made one hell of a noise. They made a terrible noise as they moved in then they made more noise at 1: 20 am and 4: 40am. If your of European descent and English is your mother tongue, don’t come here.

Our ocean view room was lovely and very clean with a small fridge and coffee maker.
The staff at reception and in the restaurant are very friendly, helpful, polite and hard-working.
We will be back definitely.

This hotel is just bad.
Aside from paying taxes and fees upon arrival, parking (if free) is $35 plus tax per night. The room itself is ok, the view is not at all, even if it is a standard room. We look at the rusted ventilation system on the roof, photos attached.
But the big hammer is yet to come.
There are three of us in the hotel - but we get a maximum of 2 loungers and 1 umbrella on the beach. If we want more, we should pay for it. I'm sorry, what?
And even better.at 6 p.m. You are thrown off the lounger, which are then put away together with the umbrella.
I won't even start with the outside area. 80's area and mini pool, condition so-so. At the pool bar you don't even dare to get anything if there is anyone there at all.
W-Lan requires the user login data for each new access.
(i.e. As soon as you leave the premises and re-enter)
In response to complaints, the answer is "You only have a standard room". Thanks for nothing!
Any Turkey hotel for half the price is better.

It's 4 a.m, the vending machine charges the KK, but doesn't spit anything out. Waited 10 minutes at the reception, nobody there - the security guard said I should knock on the door next door. As a result, the employee woke up and put on his school clothes first. Of course he can't help me and has to clarify it with the manager. I still don't have anything to drink, so there's tap water.

Avoid this hotel!

A Disappointing Stay at Best Western Plus Atlantic Beach Resort

As a loyal Best Western customer, I was excited to stay at the Best Western Plus Atlantic Beach Resort during my recent family vacation. However, my typically positive experience with this reputable chain took a disappointing turn at this particular property.

Upon check-in, my optimism waned when the front desk informed us that our room was not yet ready, even though it was already 4 PM, the official check-in time. This delayed start to our vacation set a negative tone from the outset. Nevertheless, we tried to remain patient and understanding.

Once we finally entered our room, any remnants of excitement were immediately crushed. To my disbelief, I found a dirty t-shirt under the bed covers, indicating that the room had not been thoroughly cleaned before our arrival. This blatant oversight was both shocking and unsanitary, causing us to question the hotel's commitment to cleanliness.

Adding to our frustrations, the common areas of the hotel left much to be desired. The lobby, which should serve as a welcoming space, was marred by rude guests swearing and engaging in inappropriate behavior, including twerking, right in front of children. Despite this being a family-friendly resort, the staff seemed indifferent to the situation, failing to address the unruly guests or ensure a comfortable environment for all visitors.

Another significant inconvenience was the unavailability of complementary coffee, a basic amenity that guests often rely on to kick-start their day. It was disappointing to find the coffee station empty and neglected during our stay, leaving us with no choice but to search for alternative options outside the hotel.

The disregard for guests' comfort extended to the early morning hours as well. The cleaning staff demonstrated a complete lack of consideration by loudly banging on our door before 9 AM, inquiring about our check-out time. This abrupt awakening was disruptive and highly unpleasant, especially when traveling with children who needed their rest.

Despite these disheartening experiences, I decided to reach out to the hotel manager via email, hoping for a resolution and an opportunity to express my concerns. To my relief, the manager responded promptly and appeared genuinely concerned about our grievances. Their friendliness and willingness to listen to our feedback were appreciated. However, actions speak louder than words, and it remains to be seen whether the hotel will take meaningful steps to address these issues and improve the overall guest experience.

In conclusion, my stay at the Best Western Plus Atlantic Beach Resort was far from the enjoyable and comfortable experience I've come to expect from the Best Western brand. From a dirty t-shirt in the bed to an unready room, inappropriate behavior in the lobby, and a lack of basic amenities, the negatives significantly overshadowed any positives. While the manager's responsiveness via email offered a glimmer of hope, it will ultimately be the actions taken by the hotel that determine whether I choose to return in the future. As of now, I find it hard to recommend this specific property to fellow travelers, and I hope they can rectify their shortcomings to provide a better stay for future guests.

Some service can be touch and miss, but the lovely lady who checked us in and the guys at the beach with umbrellas & chairs were amazing! Room is nice. Best part is the location to the beach & we practically had the beach to ourselves! Looking around you can see over crowding, but not were we are. We’re staying on the beach & that’s all that should matter.
Kinda sucked having to walk over to the front desk, just for pool towels because there were none in the pool area. But overall, I was very pleased

I had a beyond horrible experience during my stay here. I got my wallet stolen by someone who worked as hotel security. The staff did nothing to help me and the police were called. The only thing the hotel did was suggest that security help me look around for my wallet. I told them it wasn’t lost, it was stolen by their security and I didn’t want them anywhere near me. The next morning the hotel did not let me extend my stay despite the incident of the night before and needing to go down to the police station to get a copy of the citation to be able to get on my flight.

Overall everyone there was rude, unhelpful and honestly upsetting.

Beyond that my keys stopped working at least once a day and I was constantly having to get new ones.

I have been a member of bestwestern for years and visited many hotels. This particular hotel has all the standard amenities from BW, so it was great as they are good amenities (soap, coffee, beds) and so on. The property is a little old and you can tell that they are trying their best to keep up with the age and the wear from the sea breeze. I had an incredible view of the ocean. The only little problem was that I signed for early check in and my room was not ready until 3pm. Their standard check in is 4pm. No biggie, but I appreciate when everything run smoothly in a BW property. The location is central in main street miami beach with many restaurants and stores on a walking distance. They charge a resort fee and their parking is $35 per day (if you check all parking around is about the same price), I am not sure about street parking. Front desk was great and very helpful in communicating.

Best value in Miami Beach! Older hotel with modern rooms. Nice pool & poolside bar. Easy access to the beach (right behind the hotel). Room rate included 2 chairs & umbrella on the beach during our stay! Excellent breakfast with made to order omelets, with juice & coffee included. Front desk staff were very helpful and very accommodating. Good wifi connection. Fast elevators with minimal waiting. Cold aircon in the room. Includes a garage parking spot so the car doesn't get too hot and is also out of any inclement weather. Excellent housekeeping service! Very reasonable rate for a balcony room with a view of the ocean. Overall, this is a great place to stay in Miami Beach. Note: I saw no bugs and no mold in this hotel during my stay!

Very bad because my daughter left something about her and my grandson forgotten and I went to look for it the next day and they told me that there was nothing they did not return what I had forgotten and my daughter called many times and they did not answer her neck and I came personally.look for it since I live here and it didn't help what a shame it's too bad that you give it up if you come to this hotel be careful not to leave anything forgotten for your sake why can't you get it back

We had a great experience at this hotel from start to finish! The front desk went above and beyond at check in especially helping us park as our roof rack was too tall to fit in the parking garage. Comparing to other best westerns near the beach I found this hotel to be exceptionally clean. Basic room and small bathroom but it was clean and fresh, house keeping is obviously doing a great job! The pool was small and no hot tub but great vibes and a great view. Each room came with two beach chairs and an umbrella. My favorite part is the path that runs behind the hotel along the beach. I could’ve walked for hours! No complaints here! Would definitely recommend for a family looking for a more affordable stay by the beach.

NO PARKING! NO BREAKFAST! FALSE ONLINE ADVERTISEMENT! ROACH INFESTED & LEAKING CEILING (SWAMPCOOLERS IN ROOMS) TIGHT AND SMALL BATHROOMS, & NO MICROWAVES IN ROOMS: (DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SPEND $$ ELSEWHERE. Only good thing from this hotel is the view and easy access to adjacent beach.
