Betty Griffin Center Thrift Store reviews
31Visitor from Out of town. Loved it here! Love the cause! Merchandise was more than reasonably priced. Would definitely come back here for hard goods.
The dressing rooms aren't open as yet, the other thrift stores in town have opened their dressing rooms.
The ladies are always pleasant.
Feels like the "Furniture pickers" are back again. They buy the nicer stuff before it hits the floor it seems. They resale the furniture in their business shops after refinishing most pieces. So us folks who just want something nice for our home are SOL.
Prices haven't dropped due to Covid. The winter clothing should ALL be marked 50-75% off. The store smells stagnant, musty.
Very reasonable prices for a very good cause. Not as clean or as well organized as it could be, but I will return.
Staff is really nice. The prices are really good too. And they even helped us load our furniture. And lent us a tarp to get our stuff home dry! Thank yall!
The staff are wonderful, and the place is very clean with very nice finds. Will highly recommend to family and friends.
Very nice staff work hard at organizing and displaying. Great prices, good quality on much of the items. I live Nashville Tennessee, have owned a time share week in St. Augustine Florida for 35 years, never missing a year. We visit Betty Griffin each year, because we believe in the cause and love the great deals.
Very large selection of many different types of stuff. I bought a picture frame and a full suit here. 12$
It said hours till 6, however they closed at 5, was driving specifically from work down there, it’s just so disappointing, lost business, but I guess they don’t care
I just moved here and needed stuff for my house and it all cam from Betty Griffin store and I love it all! And love the store! It’s great! And every Tuesday is senior day for my mother!
This is one of the dirty, smelly and not well organized thrift stores in this area.
It is for a great cause, that is the reason for the 1 star.
The staff and not helpful or knowledgeable.
A very unpleasant shopping experience.
Dont like to badmouth a non profit that has a great mission, but have been to this
store on several occassions and the experience is always the same.
Unpleasant, dirty, smelly, unorganized.
Maybe this will encourage those in charge to make some changes.
About January 11th 2020 I was in the store checking out when I ask the man a question and he was a little rude to me. That is no way to treat people who donate free things to the store. If you cant treat customers nice, stop volunteering. Odd someone would volunteer and then treat a man rude, Wonder if he treats woman like that, maybe that's why he volunteers to be in the public around particular people?
Staff is always miserable. Never smile, never pleasant. Would have donated at register if she had been somewhat pleasant, although, my business donates every year. Dont ask for donations with the attitude you give.
Clean store. Although I wasn’t feeling particularly welcome. Clothes are organized by color!? Who has time to look at every size. Especially if your visually impaired. Organizing by size makes much more sense. I probably would’ve bought.
My nephews and niece were looking for a toy each and there was a lady standing over them telling them to put the toys away. She said even if they didn't take them out they needed to put them all away. I understand the want (and frustration) to keep her area clean, but she was being very rude. My 4 year old niece was just sitting there with maybe 3 toys in her hands trying to decide which one she wanted and the lady told her to put them away. So she put them all away and walked away with nothing.
They don’t negotiate there outrageous prices.they get everything for practicaly for free.when you ask to negotiate they get mad saying they need to make profit.there already making profit.go to Saint Vincent de Paul thrift if you want fair prices and nice staff. Betty griffin sucks.
This store is at the top of my list of favorites! Great choices, great prices, and you are helping a great cause.
Everything from Soup To Nuts, find your old grandmother's cast iron frying pan to the canisters she used to keep her flour and sugar in.
Visit every year when we need that "forgotten" beach item.cooler, kitchen utensik, beach book, etc. Great resource for a GREAT cause!
It's a very nice place to buy second hand the people are friendly. And very decent appeals. They do help the abuse person
Came a long way this store did, it is a far cry from previous. Looks nice and organized, great job ya'll makes me want to stop by more often!
