Beymer Church, Winter Haven FL

I had been living in Winter Haven for seven months, searching for a church, preferably United Methodist, where I felt welcomed and at home. And I was getting very despondent, fearing I might end up watching a service online each week. I stumbled upon Beymer UMC one afternoon while riding around Lake Howard and decided to check it out on Sunday. It was great! The traditional service was exactly what I had been searching for: a talented choir; beautiful pipe organ and amazing organist; dear old hymns I grew up with; friendly, welcoming people; a kind and personable pastor; and a handbell choir to boot! I have attended Beymer ever since, sing in the choir, and participate in a Wednesday Bible study and a women's Circle. I have found my home! If the traditional service is not your cup of tea, Beymer's contemporary service is quite good too. The praise team is very talented and keeps things upbeat with beautiful new Christian songs. If you're searching for a church, I can't imagine you will be disappointed with Beymer. Lots of opportunities for getting involved and serving the community. Check them out this Sunday!
