Big Bad Breakfast - Destin, Miramar Beach FL

I loved the breakfast I got steak and eggs and my husband got the skillet and everything was very good, fresh and tasty.

We had Zach today his server was late so he waited on us and cooked our breakfast took care of absolutely the whole restaurant by himself He had an amazing attitude I wish everyone could be a little more like Zach I hope the owner realizes how lucky he is to have an employee willing to step up and do this

Big Bad Breakfast made our family's short "favorite" list, after our first visit. The service was great, the food was served quickly, and it was delicious! When the bill came, I was pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend anything with their chicken. Perfectly seasoned, and prefect crunch. Pictures are of chicken and waffles, biscuits with tomato gravy, french toast, cathead chicken biscuit, and the crispy hash cake. We will DEFINITELY be back!

Very original, it's was simply delicious. If your looking for out of the ordinary breakfast with some favorites this is the place you want to try.

Had the Creole omelet and a waffle. They did not disappoint. We were welcomed as walk-ins, very clean and professional environment, really felt the southern hospitality. The omelet had a very delicious flavor, well seasoned, and you could tell it was made with love. The hash brown was crisp and just like I like them. Even though I'm just visiting, I would definitely visit again for breakfast. Host, waiter, and server all take pride in their roles. This gets a thumbs up from me.

I recently dined at "Big Bad Breakfast" (BBB), and I have to say that my experience left me with mixed feelings. While the restaurant certainly has its charm and offers a cozy atmosphere, the food experience did not quite live up to the price tag.

For my meal, I decided to try the Creole Omelette, which I had heard great things about. Unfortunately, I was somewhat disappointed. The omelette arrived lukewarm, which was a bit of a letdown. I was hoping for a piping hot, freshly prepared dish. Moreover, the flavor of the omelette was blander than I had expected. I was anticipating a burst of Creole spices and a rich, savory taste, but it fell short of my flavor expectations.

We also ordered the kid's meal, which was a Grilled Cheese sandwich with fries. The sandwich was, in all honesty, nothing out of the ordinary. It was a pretty run-of-the-mill grilled cheese, and while it was decent, it didn't stand out as anything special. On a positive note, the fries that came with it were surprisingly good, perfectly crispy and seasoned just right.

One thing that struck me as a bit odd was the option to substitute the standard side for our breakfast meal with French Toast for an additional $6. We decided to give it a try, but unfortunately, it was nothing remarkable. The price seemed a bit steep for what essentially amounted to a couple pieces of French toast. I was hoping for something unique or at least exceptionally delicious to justify the cost, but it didn't deliver on that front.

In summary, while the restaurant's ambiance was pleasant, the food portion sizes didn't quite match the prices. The Creole omelette was lukewarm and lacked the expected flavor punch, the kid's Grilled Cheese was rather ordinary, and the French Toast substitution was not worth the additional cost. However, I did appreciate the tasty fries that accompanied the kid's meal. If you're looking for a cozy place to dine, BBB might fit the bill, but be prepared for a somewhat underwhelming, pricey experience, especially considering the cost.

We had a delicious breakfast while visiting Destin. I loved the coffee and my son said the best hash browns he has ever had. My avocado toast was wonderful. We will be back next time we are in FL.

Flavorful wouldn’t begin to describe the food that we were served. I had the Big Bad Skillet and let me tell you I could taste every ingredient and yet it was blended perfectly. I also ordered the French toast to share with my husband, omg! Fluffy yet sort of flakey and it melts in your mouth. My husband ordered the Oyster scramble and his face looked like he was in heaven. Breakfast is his favorite meal and he’s a huge critic about his breakfast and he gave it a 10/10. That’s a huge thing coming from him. Service was awesome too.

Literally the best breakfast I’ve ever had, and not too expensive. The chicken sandwich was AMAZING. Definitely recommend.

Amazing! Forget about your diet and get the “Cathead” chicken and biscuits. And don’t forget the hot sauce. It’s slammin’!

Adult meals were fantastic! Kid’s meal was lackluster. Could’ve been a little better or have a better presentation.

Iam only giving this two stars, because of the big waiter with the deep voice is just way too loud. They really need to have a talk with him, about using a inside voice. He is ridiculously LOUD.

This specific BBB: So bad. I was disappointed. BBB in Panama City was amazing. But not this one
I got the “Yard Work” and man it just smelled weird. I had my eggs and my avocado but I couldn’t eat the rest, I literally had to spit it out.
——— I asked for one with no mushrooms just Incase because the mushrooms weren’t good, so they replaced it, and still, just doesn’t taste good, and no flavor AT ALL.
Also; where was the spicy sauce? ! At pcb there was a green sauce that was really good but this one didn’t see it and I was just so turned off by the food I forgot all about it.the hash cakes were nice and thick - only good part. The orange juice was good.
Other than that, we weren’t happy.
It was my girls birthday, once we saw a BBB we got excited, but then we were both disappointed.
Her rating was a 2.8
- maybe next time I’ll order something different if we end up in Destin again and decide to give it another chance. If not I’ll be going to the one in PCB.

Totally love the food here. This was one of the best breakfasts I have had in quite some time. This is my new favorite spot when in the area. Definitely recommend the creole omelet.

Mid. It is flavor light food meant for the white haired crowed. If you still have functioning taste buds move along.

Enjoyed the food I had the "CATHEAD" chicken biscuit. Portion was generous! The gravy was really nice not too much pepper. The chicken was crispy and a perfect temperature for me, not too hot, and the dill seasoning was pleasant and not overpowering. The buttermilk biscuit was so light, full of flover, and cut with ease. There was so much on the menu I wanted to try that was unique to this restaurant. Breakfast kinda gets old, but these folks have really put some thought into reinventing breakfast! They also had the normal run of the mill breakfast items. Also with very generous portions and looked amazing! Highly recommend and I'll be back in my best Arnold voice
