I had nothing but good experience at Big Pine Motel. From the staff to the owner, they have been so helpful and considerate. The room is clean, smells fresh and colors are vibrant! They even went the extra mile for me with my laundry. I had an excellent stay!

Rooms were clean (NO bugs) no foul odors everything was very nice for the price. Ana was very helpful and very friendly I needed three rooms on short notice and she came through. I would stay again.

Over priced for the mediocre quality. Uncomfortable beds, dead bug in the corner, and a live worm in the bathroom.

It's just okay.
For the price I paid ($199/night) I expected more. The mattresses were hard and thin and made it difficult to sleep. There are no box springs under the mattresses so it's just a thin mattress on a hard wood surface.
The WiFi didn't work in my room, #30. You may be able to get WiFi if you have a room closer to the office. The tub didn't work, only the shower did.

On the plus side, the refrigerator (full sized) in my room was brand NEW! The water pressure and temperature of the shower was great. And the staff was nice and friendly.

Your basic 1950’s Florida Motel. The accommodations were exactly what I had expected for the price. $209 for a room in the keys, during Spring Break was acceptable. Other hotels were $500+. There is NO POOL. It has been capped. Our first floor room was tiled and spacious. It was dated, with average maintenance, but clean. The water pressure was amazing and appreciated. The beds were stiff, as side sleepers, our hips hurt. They could use a new mattress or a box spring. No coffee in the room, but there’s a Café in the parking lot. Didn’t check the WiFi. We were brought towels when they were asked for and everyone was accommodating. It’s a good spot, 25 miles from Key West. It’s hard to spot with a small sign and drab tans. Even after 2 days, we would pass it on the return. I would highly recommend the owners to ‘kitch it out’ with bright colors and plastic flamingo’s, maybe multi colored doors. It could also use some hooks or a tension rod and hangers in the room to hang damp clothes. Would stay again, hopefully not during spring break, would expect the room to be $109ish during average ‘normal’ times.

No maid service across a 4 day stay, no pool, no WiFi, no coffee, no ice. Desk clerk is polite but not helpful. At $100 per night, I would have left 3, stars. At $200 per night (with all taxes and fees), I expect a bit more. Upper floor railings are held together with tape and zip ties, and the area behind the hotel is littered with old mattresses and vehicles. Online photos are misleading. Beds were comfortable, and tv worked.

Friendly staff, well located close to the beach and key west, way more affordable. Rooms were clean and appeared renovated. Thanks for the good times

The worst hotel I ever stayed in. Switched the price at the last minute. $200 for this garbage room.

You always see those crazy reviews and go, "could it really be that bad? " Yes, yes it can. Had this place booked months in advance for a friend's wedding that was happening in Big Pine Key. I don't have high expectations but this was on a whole other level. Immediately upon walking in we felt uncomfortable. The room is dingy, dark and sad. My husband and I immediately felt skeeved out and went out to buy cleaning supplies to scrub this place down, since we had to be there the next 4 days. There was hair in the shower, in the sink, on the toilet, I even found someones used wash cloth still in the shower. I genuinely have a hard time believing this place was cleaned before we walked in. I told myself "it's just a place to sleep, that's it"  Thought a few cocktails would help put me at ease, but as soon as we came back in that room and I put my head on the uncomfortable pillow, I was wide awake. The walls are paper thin, you hear every door open and close, every TV, every car pull up, and every conversation that's happening outside your door.  Also to add to this absurdity, our toilet kept randomly flushing on its own every other hour.   I was so spooked I really thought somebody had gotten into our room and was using the bathroom. We got out of there real quick the next morning and the woman did not seem surprised, as I'm sure we're not the first ones to do this. The only positive I can give is that all the ladies working the front desk were extremely friendly and nice. Listen, I know the Keys are expensive but I'm telling you cough up the extra coin and do not stay here.

You do not get what you pay for. For $130/night a night I wasn’t expecting a Marriott but definitely wasn’t expecting this either. Nothing like the photos online. No wifi either. Room wasn’t cleaned, hence the wrapper/soap from the person before.

Our room had rug throughout, looks original.

Staff was really friendly though and check in was easy.

I actually quite like this spot.close to what ever which ever way you wanna go. Do be off put by the less than stellar curb appeal cuz this joint does feel a little seedy at first but people are mad cool staff are great and it's very reasonably priced. Best pricing I've found actually. Heck Ide actually live there if they'd let me lol.

In summary it's a super Chill spot to post up that is the best bang for your buck. Rooms are clean and well maintained

Service is decent and it's a room in the keys for $200. It's a little bit more run down than an average Motel 6 so you can imagine it isn't very nice. If you want to stay in the Keys without blowing your budget it may be one of your few options, but expect it to be what you pay for.

The accommodations are sub par. Not worth the price for the room.
Wasn't clean. Had hair in bath from last tennant, tv wouldn't pull up a picture, and sink / shower didn't drain. Backed up with dirty water.
Not impressed.
