Big Pine Key Resort

We had a few issues of our own before arriving but the staff and service were so kind and helpful and really just great people! Richard and Crystal will be back!

We stayed in the rustic section of the campground. But we were on a dock with fresh water available ft away. We lived in our motorcycle trailer during bad weather, And in a tent during the good. We had plenty of room, the showers were very clean, We really enjoyed the rooftop pool, Our favorite place to hang out when it got hot. If you love animals don't be surprised if you get company for breakfast or dinner as this is a key deer sanctuary. The staff was wonderful, The store was great, However a grocery store is only a mile or 2 away. We had the best experience of our lives here, Being able to ride to Key West every day. And renting boats to explore the keys. Thanks for a great experience. Hopefully we will be back again soon

Great Campground right next to the Key Deer Preserve. We had nightly visits from some Key Deer, just walking around the campground. Very clean site and restrooms/showers and pool. Nice little store and friendly, helpful staff. Sites are roomy enough to not be in your neighbors door. The nature trail along the beach is a nice little walk along the beach to see deer and birds. Really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.

Beautiful view of the ocean from our RV site. 2 nice gentlemen helped us park and directed us to all the amenities of the resort. Good location to bring a boat and go fishing by boat or from the old railroad bridge.
Frozen bait available. Education on the Key deer was provided. The staff working here go out of their way to make your stay comfortable.

Definitely a lovely piece of paradise. Surrounded by nature and you will see Key deer everywhere you look. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Down a deserted road that makes for ideal walks. The rooms are perfect and very comfortable. Be sure to go kayaking. The owners live onsite so you can always reach them. They can point you in the right direction for whatever you need.

Awesome sunrises. Community activities and firepit. The key deer came right up to our door. Fishing in the area is great. Sites as somewhat tight. But overall great place place.

If I could give it zero stars for service, I would. Rudest staff I have ever met in the keys. I am a local, as in, I have lived and worked here for decades. I thought this campground would be a convenient location for my parents to stay while visiting. I was terribly wrong. They were yelled at for trying to check in early, asked to move their RV (36 feet with trailered vehicle) out of the parking lot because they weren't allowed to wait there 30 minutes for their site, directed to a dead-end where they can't turn around (or back up because they are towing a car and those trailers do not go in reverse), my elderly father had to slide on his back through salt-mud to unhook the trailer with no help, then staff told them they could check in 10 minutes early IF they paid an extra $20. The Manager told my mother, "we're not paid to be nice here". Being a better person than I am, she ignored the comment. Well, I know where I won't send any tourists ever again. I look forward to hearing about your cancellation policy as I find a more pleasant (and less saltwater flooded) place for my retired family to visit. I'm truly embarrassed that these rude staff might actually share an island with me.

The staff is amazing and the resort is absolutely beautiful. Management truly cares about the park. There is also a reason why we have met people who have been coming here every year for decades. I can’t recommend more!

PS - to those people complaining about the no-see-ums I am highly confused about how you can blame this on the resort!

We had a great stay here in our overland camper. The campground is really pretty, with spots right on the water. The facilities, laundry, and pool were very clean. Everyone was so nice. We are already planning to return next year. Loved the key deer who come right up to you! Fantastic experience!

By rooms I am presuming campsites! Employees/staff were the best and we were treated like they appreciated us! Camp sites were large, very clean & nice. The Key Deer visited often too! Highly recommend for an Old Florida Fishing/Camping experience! BTW; I’m not related to the other review with the same last name

Great location! You can hop to all the keys. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the grounds are well taken care of, the showers nice and clean. The sites are too close together though. Our awning almost literally touched the trailer next to us and the trailer behind us no more than 5 ft from us. This proximity was disappointing. Almost like parking in an RV sales lot. If proximity doesn't bother you, this is a wonderful place.

We were pleasantly surprised how nice this place is. The RV trailer we rented was clean with all the things we needed for a comfortable stay. We also rented the dock right behind for our Jetskis. Area was great to explore.

Very cute RV/camping site. Very well taken care of, great pool and easy access for boating. We stayed in a Grand Design RV and it is very spacious and well kept. We will come back

We do an annual rustic tent camping and love it every time. The bathhouse is kept clean. Many activities including pool and campfire. Highly recommended.

We camped for three days. The spot was ocean front. God provided amazing views and sun rises. The facilities were always clean. Cool recreation rooms with a big pool on the roof. The folks running the camp are super nice. They even have slips for your boat.

Wonderful experience! The staff goes completely above and beyond to be helpful. Too many activities to list and a great pool! We already booked for next year!
