Big Thunder Mountain Railroad reviews
25Such a classic! Sit in the back for a more intense experience! Tons of fun for all ages! Ride line has great decorations which continue throughout the ride! A must do at magic kingdom!
This is a nice roller coaster. It’s a pretty mild ride, not having any loops, small ascents and descents, and not many fast wrists and turns. Fortunately, I like mild roller coasters. This ride is made to be like a mountain railroad going through the American west. The ride is decorated with large, orange rocks and some small trees. The decorations are pretty good because it made me feel like I was actually out west if I ignored the screaming tourists and humidity. I had a fast pass for this ride so I got to skip the line for this ride, which was nice. I gave this roller coaster five stars because it’s nice and mild but still fun.
It’s an iconic roller coaster that’s become a fan favorite. It’s mild, by my standards, but it packs little punches here and there. Sudden drops and turns make the ride fun. Worth the wait and then queue isn’t bad.
Good idea to pack your loose items away. The ride is very jerky and fast. My wife likes it but I don't because it knocks me all over.
It is an old reliable ride at Disney and doesn't break down nearly as much as the Seven Dwarfs.
The journey down was bumpy and hot but the treasures found have gotten me on my way to california. I'm thankful for the work.
Apparently the staff for this ride cant figure out height measurments for kids, thought people were sopose to learn this stuff in grade school, heads up the hight measure on the fast pass is higher making kids who are just the right height not allowed to ride, use the regular line height measurement is possible to get your kid who just made minimum height able to ride
This is pretty good, not scary at all compared to the mountain splash for example. There are couple of surprising falls. For me it is a 4 but it depends really of what you are looking for in an attraction.
This ride is fantastic! IT's even better when it is night. Tip: If you want a better experience from this ride, sit in the very back.
My favorite rollercoaster in Magic Kingdom - much better than the Seven Dwarfs rollercoaster with usually 1/2 the line
Love this ride, it shakes you side to side which is perfect considering its supposed to be on rough terrain, amazing, and not too scary for my little brother, i would highly reccomend!
Don't drink the water here. I drank it, my life changed after that. I got off The ride, my sight was gone. I called for my parents, i heard them, but couldnt see them.
Should really stop saying "ride been delayed by flash flood" every 10mins. It gets really old when waiting in line 2h 40mins. Ride itself is good 4 stars.
A fun rollercoaster for the whole family, not too intense but moves quickly through a mining themed mountain.
Pretty good kid ride! 2 loading stations to keep the line moving. The theming is spectacular! Very western inspired. The ride length is pretty long and is a very graceful ride, there was one part that had little ejector airtime which is pretty weird. This is the perfect kid ride for kids.
I haven't been before and I dont exactly like ridea to be honest. Just wanted to know if it goes back wards or upside down? ! I don't like the rides what go up side down or back wards. Thank you for your help.
It's very relaxing to sit down for a while and relax. As you go through, there are multiple attractions to look at, or you could just peacefully close your eyes for a bit. Amazing, 10/10
We had a 90 minute wait for the ride in early April around 4pm. As others have said, the ride itself was pretty long so it was worth the wait. My 11 y/o son enjoyed it greatly as well. He commented on how well done the mines looked when on the ride. Also, there were a lot of humorous and entertaining things to look at and interact with while waiting, once reaching the building.
It was fun but not worth waiting in a queue for 2 hours. It's no better than similar rides at other theme parks
