I have been going to this location for about 4 years now, and there's a new lead by the name of Angel who has been wonderful when dealing with me when I arrive. I have issues with scar tissue at times, and it's been difficult for most of the employees there to stick me to where it takes less than an hour to donate. Jasmine has been a leader who has given me the attention and adjustments when needed, and the one to assist me on other visits that have allowed me to donate faster. She is in high demand by donors daily, and is very professional with me every time I request her assistance. She needs a raise if you ask me! Angel has worked with me the last couple of visits, and allowed me to be able to get in and out as a donor. I really appreciate the work that they do, and give them props for doing such a good job. Seriously I had thought about discontinuing being a donor because of the time it takes to donate at times, and some not willing to work with me. However since those two have been there I feel comfortable enough to continue to donate. Thank you Jasmine and Angel. Continue to lead by example!

Got a text on 11/17/20 that I would receive $100 on my first donation and $50 for all other donations in November. Donated on 11/18 and was told I couldn't get the $100 because I got it in October. I was sent 2 separate texts, one in October and one in November. Seems like false advertising to me.

Me and a family member have come 4 times. Every time its "not excepting new donors at this time. Went in the morning. Nope. Went in the evening at 4 like they told us to. Nope. They dont close till 7. You got 4 nurses standing around at the front but cant get any new donors registered in 3 hours? I recommend csl plasma on 17-92. Has actual social distance waiting areas. Very lenient on timing. Always love new donors. Friendly as can be. Doesnt look like a dingey office. Actually professional.

I like Biomat because they're professional and they get you in and out as fast as they can. On the floor where they donate it's just as quiet as can be.

Don't expect they same type of service as if you were donating blood.at the blood places, it's all "yes sir, thank you sir, have a cookie and juice sir. " Here, you are definitely not just a donor. I have no doubt that it is directly because we get paid that it is different. No more sirs, no cookies. You're just a dude or dudette getting paid for your time and plasma.
Here it's kind of like the longer you go and/or the more you interact with the employees, the more they accept you as part of the gang; much like the difference between being in 9th vs. 12th grade. Once you've proven yourself consistent, you could have all types of good conversations with employees and even other donors.
It is more of a production-line and you are on the conveyor belt. The people that work here are good at what they do, yet at the same time one gets the feeling that he/she are a car being produced on an assembly line. Language used and overall feeling here is that of hanging out at a bar mixed with working a construction job.) an example phrase you might hear is "whose gonna stick him? ", meaning who will insert the needle into your arm. Lots of talk about other coworkers and what they've done to piss someone off, and DON'T come in and be some of the last people of the day. They don't like that and talk about it nonstop until everyone is finished donating. All that said, it could also just be described as a relaxed work atmoshere, because it really is. Get past that and maybe you could enjoy it!

Most of the people are friendly, and all are professional when it comes to protocol and
actually inserting (i.e. Sticking) in the needle.

When you first sign up, it's a major time and effort-intensive ordeal. Lots of information and a physical and videos and a binder to read about the overall process. BUT,
My biggest gripe.after all of the 'overall info', I felt like I was then politely shoved into the ignorant lane. The actual process YOU will be going through (like in the next two hours) is not really offered up and it feels as if you must dig and ask and research and decode and ask and wonder and think that maybe if you just go with it. (not the aforementioned technical aspects like apheresis or the possible side effects or dangers to you or the plasma recipients). Ugh.please just tell us in the beginning. Like how much is paid out (look for posters) ? Does that amount change monthly? How EXACTLY do 'your days' work? !? (Hint: donation days are any two days with 48+ hours inbetween, but not more than two days in any arbitrary 7 days. ARBITRARY is the key here. Start counting on any day, like you're first donation day. Seven days from then, you can only have one other donation day within that time period. Like your own personal fiscal week. Only way to alter your set days is to basically skip a week and start fresh.
All else is awesome. Managment seems cool. People are easy enough to ask questions about the above.and again they are all qualified and do a splendid job. Not a huge amount of dough made, but if saved over a month, enough for a moderate/partial car payment? (amount can change month to month) So you get $ for your time and plasma while helping others in need.win-win! Payouts are considerably more for qualified Rh- peeps.
They also give away prizes occasionally, though I've never won.

Good luck and keep donating! Thank you to Biomat and crew for the continued opportunity.

Maybe it is just me, but this place looks and acts like a people farm. Most of the staff is short tempered and too busy to be bothered. The lady that set my line was really bad at it and oddly rude. The whole experience creeped me out, and not just because several people were scratching themselves in the waiting room. Woah, what an atmosphere. Of you can stand it, go twice and collect 150. I only made it once lol
