BJ’s Alabama BBQ!, Tampa FL

It's definitely a southern atmosphere. Your mouth waters when you walk in. I knew it was going to be good when they brought it out on Styrofoam plates. I had the beef, ribs, and pork. Every single bite was enjoyable, the baked beans were to die for, the sauce was the perfect mix of sweet and heat. My 8 year old proclaimed this is her "favorite BBQ ever. " The sweet tea is everything you could ask for on a hot summer day, and when they ran out, they outdid themselves with the homemade lemonade too. They have very reasonable prices and they gave my daughters Popsicles to fight off the Florida heat. We are here from Ohio, but if I'm in the area again, there is no doubt we will be coming back. Hats off to the BJs crew and we appreciate the hospitality and amazing food! Keep being great at what you do!

The people are the best, very kind, they make you feel at home, the food is wonderful, come on down and let's all eat.

Drove past this place the other day and it looked like one of those hole-in-the-wall places where you know the food is amazing. Looked it up and saw many glowing reviews. I've been looking for a good BBQ place down here in Florida and thought this might be the answer.

I have to admit I'm really not that impressed. I ordered the 3 meat combo (chicken, pork and ribs with collard greens and green beans). Everything had decent flavor but the sauce was a little excessive. The ribs were tough and hard to chew. Collard greens were cooked in butter and was very overpowering.

I'll likely be back, to at least give it another try but this place is nowhere as good as the reviews make it seem.

They run a tight ship and the food was great! Once the road construction is done, it’ll be easier to park. Recommend the chicken dinner with collards and mac n’ cheese.

The best customer service I've had in a long time. Everybody was awesome, helpful, and really nice. The food was really good. I will definitely come back!

So glad that we live just a few blocks from this fantastic BBQ spot! The food is always delicious, across the board, and the service will put a smile on your face. Highly recommend this south Tampa gem!

This food is so delicious!
We moved into the neighborhood not that long ago and this place had been recommended to us several time so we knew we had to try it.
We got the sampler platter and everything was great. My faves were the chicken and the sausage!
The sides were great too. Their baked beans have like an apple pie taste to them that is so good!
It’s pretty awesome that it’s a family run restaurant!

If servers are nice I’m ok. But what rude and bad people working there! The worst employees I ever met.

Unorganized, poor service, poor attitudes and lack of urgency. Dessert portion is horrible! Ribs tasted old and had too much fat! Tiny piece of lemon cake with big glob of frosting and crumbled sweet potato pie. Nonchalant attitudes, flies and poor air circulation!

Found this place by chance when we were down in South Tampa. FINALLY a place that knows what type and how to cook sausage! The ribs were tender fall off the bone good. The ladies working there were super friendly. It was hot in the dining room but eating BBQ isn’t exactly a 3 hour long meal so…. We will definitely be back to eat more sausage and try their pork.

In town and we heard about this place so, we decided to check it out. They did not disappoint! This family owned business served up some of the best ribs we’ve had in a long time. They were so tender and Smokey! Potato salad, collards and Mac were equally delicious as well. If you’re looking for some good bbq, this is it.

I've been several times. Always real good southern barbecue. Great service, friendly staff. Great portions and quality food.
