Bob at this BJ's optical was my hero today. I came in right before close, after irreparably breaking the arm of my glasses a half an hour before, and honestly having a very bad day other than that. We were lucky that the same style of frames I had broken were still in stock, and he was able to get me all taken care of in under 10 minutes.

This is also one of the cheapest places to buy frames in Orlando. I don't have insurance that covers it, but this emergency trip still only set me back $59.99. I don't know what I was thinking but I tried to go to the Visionworks next door and they only had one pair of frames that would fit my lenses and they were not very cute and would cost me 40 dollars more ($99.99).

They took three attempt to have my reading glasses ready. I waited two weeks everytime i tryed them and they were wrong. I finally got them and i will never go back. I am very disappointed on how they handle the whole thing. Never again.

Quality of craftsmanship, materials, and communication between BJ's Optical and the manufacture are at an all time low. I ordered two pairs of glasses to be made: regular glasses and sunglasses. After all the upgrades I paid almost $600 for both pairs and was told it would take about 2 weeks. Exactly 2 weeks later the glasses were in and were BOTH sunglasses. The regular pair was tinted and unpolarized. The sunglasses were poorly made and because of that, the polarization made it difficult to see clearly. I was evident that the person I was working with was unhappy about the situation but assumed no blame on their part. SO, cut to another 2 weeks later, after I was reassured that the corrections had been made, BOTH pairs were made as REGULAR glasses! The pair I originally wanted normal were finally correct but the "sun"glasses now had clear NON-TINTED lenses! And in an extra level of sketchiness, after discussing the latest incorrect pair of glasses, I was told that all the sunglasses are made with polarized lenses.even though my 1st incorrect order contained two pairs of sunglasses with one being polarized and the other not. The difference was I could use the unpolarized pair without my eyes hurting. So that seemed like a blatant lie to me. Also the receipt the Optical department gives you isn't itemized. So you just get the total amount you're paying instead of and itemized list of what each pair of glasses cost and the specific cost of any add-ons. I did receive a refund for the botched sunglasses, but I have no idea if that reflected the amount I initially paid. Afterwards I thought this would be a valid enough reason to share this experience with a manager and after waiting for about 15 minutes with kind employees giving me the run around as to the where about of "Lewis? Louis? Luis? " the "GM" I just left and decided to make this public instead of just having a conversation about it. I have been using this optical department for 12+ years and I've never been more disappointed and left unsatisfied. I will never give BJ's optical my time/business again and suggest you find an alternative source until they get they're collective mess together.

After 2wks, I'm still waiting on Lori or anyone to contact me regarding the warranty on a pair of glasses purchased March or April of last year. The anti glare coating has rubbed off, I can't see anything out of the left lens. Beginning to think, that I'm being given the run around until the warranty runs out, then I'll really be screwed
