Blick Art Materials, Tampa FL

Blick in Tampa Florida is my home store. I love the staff there. They genuinely care about the artists and what they are looking for to create their work. As a professional artist, I use their print services in the Design Center frequently during festival season. Ed always makes sure that my reproductions are done with an eye for quality and in a timely fashion. He really cares about what he does and connects with the people he works with. McKenzie, the manager is always helpful and kind and always a pleasure to work with.

I love stopping in at Blick! The staff always greets you and are available to answer any questions. The store has a great assortment of art supplies and also a small 'curated' collection of gift items that are, in a word, cool.

As a regular customer I have generally good experiences at this store. It is the only place to get some of the materials I like to use and a majority of the employees are knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to customers. However, recently on more than one occasion I have witnessed the manager Mckenzie threaten employees with physical violence. I am assuming she runs the store because she arrogantly marches around the place exclaiming that she runs the company. During my most recent visit, I heard her tell the young black male associate that she was going to throat punch him and round house kick him to the face if he doesn't work harder. This was a very concerning sentiment to witness and it will make me think twice before coming back.

Great art store. Very tiny, so difficult to get around when it's busy. But they have more to choose from than michaels or joanns. But the reason for one star lost is the fact that different employees will follow me around the store and ask me if I need anything, and not just once, not just twice, not three, or four times, but FIVE TIMES I like a 5 minute period. They will even stand next to me in the aisle and pretend to organize the shelves. I have no idea why but it makes me nervous, like they think I'm going to steal something, which is really offensive:/ I know I'm not white, so I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Unfortunately, I do have social anxiety so when they do this, I start rushing and buy my things quickly, and leave when I would have wished I could have browsed more.

Had the best experience here today.one salesgirl helped me find everything for my art class and was just so kind. Everyone at the register was helpful and wonderful. So happy I came in here to get my art supplies.

This store has a great selection of art supplies. We got oil paint, thinner, air brush equipment all in one trip without paying shipping. Definitely worth the trip

I used to like this place…Good art store but bring cash because this store has ludicrous rules about credit cards. ‍️ They will not take a buisness card. I have never had such a hard time purchasing anything in my life as I did trying to make a simple transaction with this store.

It's an amazing place for artists from new inexperienced to experts and professionals. The variety is the best

I find it appalling that this studio endorses Bob Ross Inc.by selling their products. BRI stole Bob Ross's name against his wishes and created the business it is today out of greed. Bob Ross's intentions were to show to the world that anyone can express themselves through painting and did not want to exploit that beautiful experience through profit. Terrible.

What a lovely store! Every employee was super friendly and each one greeted me and offered their help. It's so great to see such genuine and willing customer service! Also, the selection was outstanding - I found everything on my list of pencils to replace! They are very well organized, too. Just an overall great first experience in this wonderful place! I can't wait to come back!
