Blind Pass reviews
11 Nice place to fish on both sides west and east or just enjoy watching the sunset.
Beautiful and relaxing!
Great beach and fishing location. Full facilities on the North side of the pass.
Come early for parking and don’t forget to pay the man.
Plenty of warning signs about just about everything.
Blind Pass is in a constant state of change, as of this review it is 3/4 silted in, but has extreme currents in the open section.
Fun to walk out and explore and observe nearly daily changes that happen.
If you are fortunate you may spot a turtle trail.
BEWARE OF PARKING!
Nice beach. There were lots of shells under the bridge (mostly plain ones but it was fun to shell!)
We were literally parked there 15 minutes, did not see the meter and we’re charged $150.00 parking ticket! We didn’t even see the sign bc it was so busy there. Just hoping to save someone else the hassel.
Excellent place for shelling! The parking is unfortunately a minimum but once your on the beach and you see the amount of shells under your feet you'll love it. Make sure you have your water shoes and a net along with a bag or two.or three!
Depends why you are coming here really, if you are coming here to pick shells or go fishing this could be a 5 start stop for you. If part of your group if planning on spending their time in the water then it's less ideal for them, they have signs everywhere not to go swimming in the water, the currents are strong and there are people fishing everywhere.
Get here early for the people who want to go shelling and the rest of the party can go fishing. The little parking spaces that are available go quick, don't bother showing past 10am unless you just want to see if you get Lucky.
Nice place to go fishing and look for shells. Parking may be limited, so be prepared for that.plus it's $5/hr
Absolutely gorgeous. $5 an hour parking. They pick up trash and maintain it every single morning. Absolutely the best place in captiva/sanibel for shelling and fishing!
Not much of a shoulder for vehicles on the bridge.and the sidewalk is usually lined up with angler's that would travel hours just to fish here. The channel isn't the safest to go in, as far as rip tides/currents. The beach area is small so it's pretty crowded.
We caught a few sheepshead only 1 keeper, 9.5 inch snappers most every cast. Beautiful spot
Fun little beach, perfect for shelling! Be sure to bring water shoes or sandals (the shells are not fun to step on lol). There are so many pretty shells just waiting to be found here. The only reason I give it 4 rather than 5 star is due to the very small parking lot (we went on a Monday and got one of the last spots, I couldn’t imagine finding a spot on a weekend), and bathrooms inconveniently located on the other side of the bridge. Other than that it’s beautiful and ideal location for shelling.
Great beach, great fishing at low tide. Nice little local bar close by for take out and dine on beach.
