Blue Bell Landscaping, Merritt Island FL

Blue Bell Landscaping was contracted by Viera Builders to install our sod, landscaping, and irrigation. We wanted a little more than the basic package featuring Brian’s famous flowering tree that looks dead most of the year, so we paid upwards of $3000 to upgrade. After moving in and noticing one of our upgraded palm trees was dying, we asked for someone to look at our irrigation to see if it was installed correctly. They told us everything was up to spec. They checked the irrigation and injected the tree roots with some sort of magic and the tree looks much better. Went back and forth regarding paying for new mulch about 7 months in. Our awesome sales rep quit sometime after that. After two months of empty mulch promises, billing errors, and no mulch, we hired another company. New company told us due to the size of our corner property, we should have had another separate irrigation zone installed so all zones would get equal water pressure. We don’t know who to believe. Blue Bell is no longer owned locally, but now part of a multi state conglomerate that seems it’s still getting their synergy together.

There was a miscommunication which had me waiting on them on Tuesday however by Wednesday the mix-up was corrected and by Thursday my lawn looked beautiful. But unfortunately that was temporary, their crew is constantly breaking sprinkler heads and pavers they hit my masonry flower box with the mower took a chunk out if it broke the sprinkler there and never said anything or repaired it. They say they will repair the sprinklers but they never show up and if they do it's usually a week or so later. They have a habit of blowing the grass clippings into the pool which they say that the crew is supposed to skim the grass out of the pool but they don't. They miss certain areas like edging the lawn which looks awful when one side is edged but the other side is overgrown onto the walk area. The tree trimming is so-so I hired them to trim the trees on the west side of the house but they only trimmed what they felt like trimming, I had to have someone else come in to finish the job. The customer service person is awful to work with, she's extremely rude and likes to argue, every time I called I ended up having to justify myself over the broken sprinklers, the tree trimming the broken gate etc.for what they charge it's just not worth the hassle.
They did however adjust the bill for the tree that wasn't trimmed but I've yet to hear back about the flower box and sprinkler they damaged. (See pictures)
All in all the crew only cares about getting out as quickly as possible even if the job isn't completed, they are truly a horrible company.

BLUE BELL is very professional, reasonably priced and did a beautiful job. I wish that I would have taken before photos! Our old lawn service just cut the grass and hacked our bushes. Blue bell came in, edged, cut our grass, pulled our weeds and trimmed our bushes! ALL for the same price! CALL BLUE BELL for your lawn care! SO GLAD WE SWITCHED! LOVE THEM!

Incredibly unprofessional and unreliable. Tried to hire them to reroute irrigation in preparation of a pool build. Dozens of attempts to call them, to schedule the job, and numerous no shows. They finally showed up to do that job one day and we thought all would finally be done. They dug two holes in our yard, proceeded to sit in their truck for 30 minutes then just drove away with zero communication. Never called or explained why they left or what the status was. We gave up and hired a reliable company. Do not hire if you actually want anything done.
