Awesome place to get your skin check, they are pretty great with the cost if you don’t have insurance, and treat you like a family from the front desk to the provider the attention was great, all my questions were addressed and my skin issues were resolved, office is super clean and organized, decoration is always on point with the holidays, Medical assistant are friendly and helpful, and the doctors are very professionals and knowledgeable. 10/10 recommend it.

Really deserves 0 stars I was diagnosed with hs is what they say, they put me on humira medication for 2 years I was taking these shots it made everything worse I even called the office & explain what was happening to my body & my skin they acted as if they didn’t know what I was talking about & as if I was never a patient there! Still dealing with this till this day!

I highly dislike giving poor reviews in my community but after multiple mistakes here I think a warning needs to be shared. I had a cyst removal and first issue was the numbing. I don't remember what they used but I felt the cutting instantly and asked for more numbing. I felt it still and they changed up the solution. After multiple jabs it was bearable enough and I just wanted it over with. Second issue, we discussed using dissolvable stitches and they ended up using regular ones. I had no idea until I decided to check back almost a month later since it wasn't healing and it was itching like crazy. The person who took them out left one in which I didn't know about at the time. It never fully healed and I went back a few weeks later saying it's still open and itching. Another nurse practitioner said oh no that's just the skin working it out and you're fine. Fast forward to a few more weeks later I called them and left 3 messages and no one answered back. I'm a mom with a full time job and don't have time to keep calling or visit. I finally decided to go to a new dermatology office more than 4 months later, being today, and found out they indeed didn't use dissolvable stitches and that they left 1 in hence I've had to deal with open skin and extreme itching for months. I do not recommend this place for lack of care, knowledge, and not even getting back to me.

I had already recommended the office to coworkers because of the treatment but after today I’m not liking it that much. The secretary at the front desk was rude. She seemed upset that she had to check me in and she seemed upset that in the system it showed they called yesterday to confirm my appointment and I didn’t answer. “So for you not picking up yesterday to confirm, you have to pay …… dollars for a service you had on the 6th and it HAS to be done today because since you didn’t pick up there is no guarantee you will pay. ” What does not picking up have to do with paying?
Well sorry for her, and I told her I work and I am not allowed to have my phone.
I do like Jason and the other staff they are very friendly, but just because of her I will not be returning.

I am absolutely blown away by Dr. Welch and his amazing practice! I have some pretty bad melasma all over my face and after one laser treatment yesterday, it's already 80% better. I woke up today and nearly cried when I saw my face. My skin hasn't looked this clear and beautiful in years. Thank you so much, Dr. Welch!

We have been looking for a local dermatologist who actually cares about their patients and sadly, it's taken several bad experiences at other offices before we found Dr. Welch and Blue Ocean. Consider us lifers!

I have been going to Blue Ocean for almost a decade. Jason Welch truly cares about his patients. The level of care he provides goes above and beyond.
