I have a very true story to tell all those who need physical therapy of all types to include water therapy. I first found out about them in 2019 when I had to have both my hips replaced. It was after I had my second surgery r/hip done I was lucky the VA approved water therapy, to Blue water in New Smyrna bch fl. The staff is very well trained and up close and personnel along with hands on. I became very close for they were all very friendly, I was lucky enough to have the VA give me a second consult and was able to continue for 15 more visits. Your buoyant in the water and recovered so well. Tragically I fell and fractured and dislocated my Titanium hip and had to have six screws also added (note surgeries were at ORMC and not the VA) in July 2021, when the scars healed I was so fortunate to get to return to Blue water who was now using the pools at Aqua Sport in Edgewater Fl. I was welcomed with so much love and care I knew I was in good hands, truly. Unfortunately 3-months later the screws fell out and my hip fell apart, after a second (total redo at ORMC of my hip) now a heavy duty titanium hip in Sept 2021, when the scars healed (2nd time) I was able to return to blue Water and started a new series of PT, I was doing so good and went from a wheel chair, walker, cane in no time. Unfortunately again in June 2022, I had to have another corrective surgery at ORMC to correct a tendon and have it sliced to relieve the ongoing pressure and pain while now trying to walk, another 27 stiches, when it, healed I was able to return to re-start my PT, only to have to stop again for another corrective surgery in Sept 2022, I since returned and started again and was able to finish 14 out of 15 due to all the scar tissues and chest spasm's from walking with a cane. No blame at all to Blue Water but the erroneous surgeries at ORMC, I just recently went to Lake Nona VA to have it all looked into (the continuous pain and spasm's in my chest, was all due to so much muscle's, veins, tendons, being cut during the 4- surgeries. The staff (all) are truly fantastic at what they do in all fields related to PT. I also would like to let everyone know how thoughtful of a person is of the owner who also participates in the water therapy of her patients. I also want everyone to know how passionate she is to us Veterans and the amazing Veterans wall of appreciation she has in their office in New Smyrna Bch. So many Veterans have donated some of their most price possessions and touching comments of praise, this makes me so proud to have served and see her recognition to us Vets, its a sight to see for all to just pay a visit. One more touching thing, Last year on Veterans day she selected me to honor by having a banner made (she dose this every year for a selected Veteran) with a Army insignia and my name attached to a flag that flew at the Veterans Park there in New Smyrna beach on the intercoastal water way on Veterans day. My wife and I went there for the ceremony and I couldn't of been any prouder. What she does is above and beyond for us vets and she dose it unconditionally and deserves a medal and recognition herself. If you ever have a need for Physical Therapy of any type, please go there, you will never regret it and you will heal to a new level. "Ranger" James Tyler, Lake Helen Fl.
