BluePearl Pet Hospital, Clearwater FL

I gave 5 star cause after the fact they were great. 3 stars tbh only because I'm hurt they couldn't save my loved one! Skyla was grrrrrrreat "in my Tony the tiger voice" helped me through this tough process as well as with confirming everything and also was on top of her costumer services for sure! I'm still sad and hurt yet would definitely recommend and use this this vet again!

I cannot thank the entire staff at Blue Pearl enough. I have two cats and one has a few issues that we continue to struggle with. This cat is currently under the care of this hospital, the communication and services are exceeding expectations. I am very thankful that my cat is under their care during these tough times.

Our beloved dog Petey came to blue pearl hoping to find some answers and the staff worked as fast as they could! But to no surprise he was in bad shape and we had to say goodbye, the staff at blue pearl Clearwater was so loving, compassionate, respectful in our decision to put him down and the whole process was awesome as they gave us all the time we wanted to greave!

Had to bring our beloved cat in at 2: 00 am the staff was extremely caring and compassionate we had to put him to sleep he was very old it was extremely difficult they made it tolerable thanks!

We had to make the dreaded trip to emergency last night to say goodbye to our little guy. The receptionist Alexis, technician Kaitlyn and Dr. Maxwell Yim were very caring and compassionate. I wanted to thank them for making our final moments with Beau very peaceful. You all were amazing.

I didn't see reviews of Dr. Miniter when I researched this facility before. I'm not sure why, as she is outstanding and people should know, if they are considering having surgery done at this facility.

She (and the staff) was very compassionate with our dog, which had to have a CCL repaired. In a very short amount of time they assessed our dog's condition and provided an estimate for surgery that turned out to be right on the money. In fact, we got a little back. The surgery was by no means cheap. (I'm not sure it would have been any cheaper elsewhere.) However, we fortunately have dog insurance, which paid for most of it.

The surgery went very well despite the CCL tear being particularly bad. Before and after the surgery, Dr. Miniter took the time to discuss details of what would and did happen and happily answered every question we asked.

While some surgeons see the dog one time after surgery, Dr. Miniter saw our dog twice to make sure he was doing OK, which he was.

I would highly recommend Dr. Miniter.

One area of improvement for this facility.
Some of the staff could use some customer service training. The whole phone situation was a couple rungs down from where Dr. Miniter and her staff are operating. However, it was not bad enough that I felt I needed to give anything less than 5 stars.

Definitely recommend BluePearl. The staff was wonderful, compassionate, and thoughtful to the needs of my furbaby. They offered great feedback and options to best diagnose and treat my cat. Very much appreciate their empathy and passion for animals. Thank you!

My puppy had a terrible encounter with our family cat. He had a full thickness corneal laceration. I took him to his primary vet and they told me that my puppy needed surgery to repair his eye and needed to see a ophthalmologist. They recommended me to see an ophthalmologist in Tampa. However, they did not have any appointments until 3 months later. A vet tech at my primary vet recommended Blue Pearl Clearwater. I called Blue Pearl and they told me they could see me right away. I arrived and the intake was simple, fast and to the point. They took my puppy in and after evaluation I got a quick response from Dr. Baldwin, the Ophthalmologist. Dr. Baldwin is a very compassionate person, you can hear the care in her voice when she speaks to you about your pet. She laid out the different options for my puppy. Surgery for my puppy was considered to be more of a risk because at the time he was 9 weeks old. The other two options were to medically treat the eye at home with heavy antibiotics, eye drops etc.or, remove his eye. Obviously, removing my puppy’s eye for me was a last resort and Dr. Baldwin wanted nothing more than to help save his eye. She treated my dog as if it were her own pet and gave her professional opinion as to what she would do. Ultimately, I chose to treat my puppy’s eye at home with medication. Fast forward to now one month later after this incident and strenuous eye drops and activity restrictions my puppy’s eye is doing great! Because of Dr. Baldwin, her advice and great knowledge my puppy not only got to keep his eye it also never got any signs of infection once. I am forever grateful to Dr. Baldwin and Tiffany who is equally as compassionate and caring as Dr. Baldwin. Tiffany helped me through this long journey and not to mention, my dog absolutely adores her! Thank you to the whole ophthalmologist team at Blue Pearl!

My dog was having cluster seizures and Dr. Kelly was amazing! Such a kind patient Dr who was very good and detailed with explaining what was going on and what our next step was. If you have to go there I would recommend asking for him if he is available. He made me feel much better about the stressful situation.

Unfortunately we have been visiting Blue Pearl a lot lately. The good news is the staff from every department has been so professional and helpful. We have been to cardiology, ER, and internal med, opthamology and I can’t not say enough good things. If you need an internist, I highly recommend Dr. Meeks, best vet we have ever been to. The receptionists are very helpful and the techs are so knowledgeable. Yes, they are pricey, but you get you pay for. They also give you an estimate (my bill has been always under) before they preform procedure so you know the expense ahead of time.

Truly could not recommend Blue Pearl enough. In January we brought in our two year old cat after she had gotten into some prescription medication. They were so kind and communicative the entire time and took wonderful care of her. Two weeks later we had to bring her back in the middle of the night because she went into heart failure. My boyfriend and I were hysterical when the vet explained she was dying. The female vet who broke the news to us and helped put her to sleep was so incredibly compassionate, kind, understanding and gentle. The pawprint memorial and the two weeks borrowed time they gave us with her is something we will cherish forever.

The staff at BluePearl is incredible. We came in very late at night because every single other emergency vet was booked and would not take us and our cat who was in critical condition. Blue pearl had us come in immediately and let us be with our cat who sadly passed that night. Of course this is never an easy process and I hope no one ever hast to go through this but if they do blue pearl should be the place to go. They were extremely kind, caring and respectful. They even gave us a ceramic paw print of our pet when we came to pick up his remains. Thank you all so much for making this difficult process much easier and giving us a happy last memory with our beloved pet.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
I never write reviews, but for the sake of pets like mine, please take yours elsewhere. This place is a death sentence, as you can tell by reviews like mine. They treat animals like cars, just wanting to nickel and dime you. They messed up a procedure on my cat, wanted to charge me triple for their mistake, and then haggled with me over the life of my beloved pet. We had to pull our cat out of their care after they messed up the procedure twice, and they still charged us four thousand dollars (for a common procedure). I'm just lucky my cat survived the ordeal, because judging by other reviews, Blue Pearl's sloppy technicians often kill pets during common operations. They have an unfair monopoly on overnight pet care, but please find another vet clinic. Blue Pearl doesn't care about the health of your animal, they just want your money.

Excellent experience. Everyone was super nice and professional during a stressful time. My little girl Lucy is fine thankfully.

Blue Pearl was the only emergency vet with room for our dog on a same-day notice. They were amazing, start to finish - excellent communication and really cared for our pupper. Very happy with the experience and Bella is doing great now.

I'm honestly displeased. My pet didn't have fleas to begin with & came home with fleas from this facility. Disgusting. Amongst other things dealt with: an employee that made me uncomfortable, the constant need to repeat things to me for confirmation prolonging the situation after I already said yes, the unnecessary amount of meds they prescribed, doping my animal up before picking them up making them more anxious but saying the meds would help.no absolutely not

The support staff was great and I wish I could remember everybody's name but I came at 5: 30 am Saturday (July 10th) and I had never been to Blue Pearl before and the young lady that I spoke with on the phone was very kind and helped me a great deal and a young lady that gave me my change was very nice and the young man that gave me an update and came to my car. Also, Dr. Nicole Corrao was very kind and explained all the steps she was going to take in getting my diabetic dog to feeling better again. It's Sunday and she is eating and doing great. Thank you to the staff at Blue Pearl!

My sister and I visited Blue Pearl Clearwater earlier today because her cat was in respiratory distress. We had called ahead and stated that it was an emergent visit and so they brought us in immediately upon arrival. Unfortunately my sister's cat's condition was dire and we had to ultimately make the awful decision to euthanize, but every single one of the staff members we encountered were so incredibly skilled and compassionate. They explained everything to us at all times and were so clear and easy to understand. I especially want to mention the after care technician, Nicole K, who just might be the sweetest human on Earth. She was so genuine and made us feel so comfortable regarding our pet's remains. There is just an amazing group of people at this clinic who truly care about you and your pet. We are very grateful.
