HONEST REVIEW! MUST READ BEFORE THINKING OF ATTENDING!
As a former student of Boca Beauty. Anyone that is considering to attend this school.
DON'T! It's a steal! The staff are so rude especially the front desk ladies. The teacher that taught me was an ignorant person.
Pushes her beliefs on to her students. She constantly picks favorites among her students. Claims to be an understanding teacher but doesn't respect you as a person.
The teachers are all unprofessional and talk behind each others backs. They don't leave anyone excluded either, they talk poorly about their own students. The kits you purchase for your learning needs are all low quality. Give you the very bare minimum and expect you to build on to it with your own money whatever they did not provide. They are are very disorganized for events they come up with! The students themselves have to organize the events to make sure they are executed properly. The staff takes advantage of the students and try to make them pay more. The recruiting staff hype the school up to only get disappointed in the end. If anything happens where school has to be closed down for any malfunction. The hours lost have to be made up by the students even if its not the students fault for missing school (making up those hours mean you have to come in either during day school or night school depending on your schedule.) and they don't excuse the day for you. I would recommend to attend a college for beauty school of they offer it, or keep looking for other beauty schools! You will regret attending such a school.

Just a thought for appointment-making. I think it would be really helpful to have appointments on Saturdays, rather than walk-ins. They open at 10 AM and I arrived at 10: 01, only to be turned away because they were already full for the whole day. To put it in perspective after 1 minute of being open there were 5 people in front of me, causing them to reach their max capacity. To be kind to your future clients, I think a lot of people would benefit from being able to make an appointment on Saturday and assure that they will be seen before driving there! Thank you, I can’t risk driving 30 minutes to be turned away again. I feel like other people who can only come on a Saturday may feel the same way.

They said my contract is terminated.i tried to talk to them a bout licensing.i was begging for her to hear my questions.i had questions about how long it takes and paper work.they weren't interested in hearing about my stuff being stolen.there's no demonstrations, (as a class) hands-on training, or access to class resources during PM Classes in the nail tech room.required to go home and teach yourself and turn in photos.board of ed.at the boca lied about being cursed at when i questioned a misprint on a test.this started a lot of trouble at home for me.they wouldn't listen to a word i had to say.the other board of ed from the other campus walks out after i said i needed some space, i think i need a lawyer.she walks outside and goes you're terminated for leaving my office type thing.she tells me im terminated, no money back.so her staff member starts trouble at home and got me kicked out of school.profanity.i never cursed at anyone.don't sign.leticia lied about being cursed at.

UPDATE: SCREWS YOU OVER WITH TIME SHEETS, ADDS MORE TIME THAN WAS ACTUALLY MISSED. CHARGES $ IN THE END.items were stolen from my nail kit.how do you go to school and never see a demonstration on how to do acrylics? They legit act like they don't have my tests and files anymore.lost.past review: as a student i would not recommend.save your money.save yourself the STRESS.faculty will literally lie to your face as to what their name is.a faculty member told administration i cursed them out after asking to compare the textbook to the test, after seeing an issue on a few tests.literally the tests answers and the information from the textbook/study guide did not match.i never cursed anyone out.leticia literally lied to her coworkers to cover up how she handled the situation.they told me i needed a disability note.there was no other option.disability.she turned me away and told me i needed a doctors note to be allowed more time and an open book test.offers a syllabus (over and over again), yet never will hand me one when i ask to see it.this test ordeal (which could've been handled the first two times i brought it up to the teacher). The lie has caused problems in my home life since.i just wouldn't sign here.i would find another program.there are honestly so many to choose from, why settle for the heartache/headache.how they dealt with this is they lie about their names, they lie about students cursing at them.they wouldn't answer my questions, at all.at that point and treated me like i had problems, over their own lie.staff member was yelling in my face and another stood beside and let her.i asked to open the book/study-guide and show them, so many times, how it doesn’t match up to the multiple choice answers on the test they give us and that's why half the class failed.but they wouldn't listen.i need a doctors note - is their advice. They would not listen.i have a heart murmur/nerve problem they didn't consider this.the communication is horrible! It's a humbling experience to say the least.i would save yourself the trouble and choose a different school.this is my life.this education would effect my life.license.the staff as a whole treated it like it was something to be disoriented so it'll settle and not have to look at the actual problem.the book/study guide/test answers do not match.most of the girls failed because of this alone.and they'll push me to a doctor for it.and lie about cursing, the staff was yelling in my face over and over.my advice, if they redirect your email to leddy, just stay away, or just bring someone with you to talk from the beginning.they have a strict no profanity rule.no one at school would listen to me after her lie.like you're going to get kicked out if you curse.i was hurt after this.i know i didn't curse at anyone! The way they handled this entire situation was emotionally distressing.start to finish. NO ONE GAVE ME A CHANCE TO SPEAK OR CARED TO HEAR MY SIDE ON HOW THE STAFF HANDLED THIS TEST PROBLEM.

I am now a licensed full specialist, most teachers are good some act like they teach, but you learn nothing! And they will ask you to make good reviews about them.be careful!

I reached out requesting information, I was connected with Bob in the admissions department, he was helpful and informative. After thinking over the information provided for a few days I let him know I was no longer interested, and thanked him for his help. Since then I have been reached out to FOUR times by different reps in the last 24 hours. Explaining to each one that I'd already spoken with Bob and decided it wasn't for me, only to be told that none of these people were updating the notes. I'm sure their facilities and instruction are great when you enroll, but their front/admissions office needs some serious customer service training and development. Be prepared for telemarketing type outreach if you do give them your contact information for any reason.

What makes this school amazing is Mr Kelsey! He is a great teacher who wont give up on you and has your best intentions. Thank god I had him or I would of left the school. Best makeup instructor and very patient with his students.

So MR. KELSEY is literally like the best makeup teacher ever. He taught me how to slay my face and everyone else’s. Period

The school overall was okay because they wasn’t organized with certain things. But I had the best makeup teacher Mr. Kelsey. When I came to his class I didn’t know anything about makeup. He taught me how to do makeup on myself and others. He was very knowledgeable on different makeup techniques. He also was patient and always encouraged me to keep trying.

The most amazing teacher is Mr. Kelsey, the make up teacher, he is the best, super friendly, super understandable and makes you feel like family, super supportive and encourage you to do your best. He is the most kind and professional person you will ever know.

My experience has been wonderful so far at Boca Beauty Academy! Ms. Jenny is the best teacher by far and she makes learning so much fun! I would recommend this school to all my friends.

Worst school to ever attend. All they care about is the pay check. No education what so ever. First day of had to to teach the class my self on how to cut hair. It is a scam and they are very unprofessional. They should have this school shut down and investigated by the board. It’s bad and I feel bad for the future barbers and hairstylist not getting what they signed up for. Very disappointed.

I am a student at boca and my makeup teacher mr. Kelsy is the best teacher ever he works on our makeup skill especially since I was a beginner and he taught me so much he really is the best person to be around too. I have learned so much about makeup and different techniques he helps everyone and make everyone feel comfortable in the class.

Decided to make Boca beauty my starting school to start my career and I must admit I have chose the right school, the staff is so welcoming like a new family and very helpful! Ready to complete my new career with Boca beauty! Also bob is awesome can’t forget his lovely personality.

I visited today with Bob, and I came in lost, wanting to find something for my future. Not only did I find something for my future, I also found a friend. This place is very welcoming and it also gave me a little hope for myself. I will definitely be back and recommend everyone to come here and find a little hope for themselves too.:)

Bob was excellent explained all the transcripts and all the educational information I’m glad we still had people like him showing us all we need to know in this industry
