Boma - Flavors of Africa reviews
18Very loud. Crowded for Father's Day brunch. Too few low cal choices. Flavor of foods was adequate; nothing exotic.
Fun time with family. The buffets, available both for breakfast and dinner, offer plenty for even the pickiest eater but still presenting tasty offerings befitting the location and name!
Very beautiful had an amazing time. Anniversary dinner. The food was very good. Oxtail was on point
Food quality is excellent. It's just a little bit annoying that they won't let you in unless all your party is complete. When you're going on a family trip with several kids it's complicated to have everyone at the exact same time. A little bit more flexibility would be appreciated.
$90 for 2 x cold scrambled eggs and bacon AND TWENTY MINUTES STANDING IN LINE for the privilege. Total shambles, even when brought to the managers attention
Number 1 food place in the entire Disney world complex resort. Period. Even the capuchino.
Absolutely love this place, so much choice of breakfast & dinner dishes. Gorgeous atmosphere, great staff.
Got to visit
I’m not a foodie, but this place was really good and we went there twice in one week at a Animal Kingdom Lodge. It’s expensive but worth it.
A wonderfully African inspired buffet inside Animal Kingdom Lodge. Not a large buffet but everything tasted wonderful. Oxtail soup, sliced strip loin cooked to a perfect medium rare, coconut rice and salmon were a few but definitely not all the highlights. Sodas and juices are included. Service and the food live up to the disney name. You won't be disappointed! Reservations are needed in order to get past the security check point to enter the Animal Kingdom resort.
Usually when I eat at a buffet some of the food is just okay. However, all the food tasted really good. The service was good and friendly. I would go back and eat there again and would recommend it.
Buffet-style dining with breakfast featured in this review. Immense variety with cuisine from Africa with American flair. Plenty of choices across every dietary spectrum.
Love this place next time I stay at Animal Kingdom lodge I will eat here a few times just loved it.
Amazing, amazing spread of foods. There are so many great options to choose from. Expect a lot of flavors of Africa. Don't worry about your picky eaters they also have some choices. Service is extremely friendly. The atmosphere is beautiful! Our favorite buffet in Disney. It's definitely worth the price!
Pecan rolls appeared reheated from previous day, pecans not crunchy as in past. Blueberry muffins dry. Ham was delicious and Guava turnovers were a hit.
My absolute favorite breakfast and dinner buffet on all of Disney property. If you haven't tried it before, please do. You won't be disappointed. Highly recommend!
We went for breakfast! It was yummmy! Kind of ate a little much for a full day of walking.
I must apologize as we are not big buffet type diners, we found the atmosphere very loud and hectic, with some of the guests behaving as if they were rushed. The food was not as nice as we expected with the price we were paying, the ribs were overcooked, the potatoes bland, and the use of spices very much on the lacking side. We were a bit disappointed because we are used to food from Africa being full of flavor and vibrancy. We believed the difference we are seeing here is because of others who might not prefer their food to be full of spices.so we were disappointed, the food wasn't as hot and the soups were a bit on the cool side, there was one soup that was quite tasty with a bit of a zing to it. Now that is what African food is about, flavor. Please accept this review as honestly given, we understand when many people's tastes have to be accomodated. Maybe next time we will see how breakfast tastes. Thank you for the opportunity to visit you.
